"F" is for Family: If all the characters were Vine references
I'm not sure how many of you remember Vine (R.I.P.) but it was basically TikTok before it existed. Lots of clownery 🤡 would you expect anything less from me?
Anyways, I was working on a different post related to my headcanons about my fic when I got to reminiscing about Vine, and thinking about which Vines would relate most to the characters. Because that's what normal people do, right? 😜
Anyways... giggle with me under the cut!

Saddened to learn of the passing of Actress Phyllis Coates (1927-2023)
Phyllis Coates, the first Lois Lane television ever saw, has died.
She was 96.
The actress died on Oct. 11 of natural causes at the Motion Picture & Television Country House and Hospital in Woodland Hills
The actress first appeared in the first full-length feature film to star the DC hero, 1951's dark Sci-fi movie Superman and the Mole Men, the success of which soon led to a syndicated television series, Adventures of Superman. Coates portrayed the journalist for 26 episodes before departing the series at the conclusion of the first season.
She was replaced by Noel Neill, who had played the character in previous Superman Columbia serials, and the show lasted another five seasons.
Born January 15,1927 in Wichita Falls, Texas, Phyllis Coates moved to Hollywood as a teenager with intentions of enrolling at UCLA. A chance encounter with Ken Murray in a Hollywood & Vine restaurant landed her in the comedian's vaudeville show. She started out as a chorus girl and worked her way up to doing skits before moving on to work for veteran showman Earl Carroll and later touring with the USO. Coates got some of her first motion picture experience in comedy short subjects at Warner Brothers and then graduated to roles in early '50s films. After a one-season stint with the Man of Steel (George Reeves on Adventures of Superman (1952)), she began to divide her time among TV, B-movie assignments and serials at Republic.
Throughout her career, she'd be seen in series like The Lone Ranger, Gunsmoke, and Leave It to Beaver, and in 1994 appeared as Lois Lane’s mother in an episode of ABC’s Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. She also appeared in several classic films, like I Was a Teenage Frankenstein and Girls in Prison, The Incredible Petrified World and Panther Girl of the Kongo. She also appeared in the film Invasion U.S.A. (1952) with future Lois Lane Actress Noel Neill.
My Condolences to Family and Friends.

The OC Halloween Challenge - Day 12
You can find the challenge here!
Today's prompt was...
The Final Girl
It’s all come down to this, the last stand. There’s two people left, or at least two important people left; the killer and the final girl. She’s fought tooth and nail, and grief has made way for rage. At first she was just another potential victim, now she’s in the killers way and she won’t go down easy. In the beginning she just wanted to survive, but like Laurie Strode now she wants revenge. Which oc becomes the monsters monster?
R.I.P. to the friends we lost along the way:
Diana, Akaito Coraline and Kassandra Hargrees
But now, without further ado:
Bára's breath was still stuck in her throat. Carefully, she scooped Jedediah and Octavius up from the ground into her shaking hands. They were barely recognizable anymore, their tiny bodies mangled and destroyed. Still, she knew it was them. There was no mistaking it. Of course, they wouldn't listen to her when she told them to run. They had always had a tendency towards the heroic, ignoring the fact that heroes often died tragically. Or maybe they did it for that exact reason, a last shower of glory. Still, Bára knew that the pain had to have swept their pride out of them. At the very least, she thought, they hadn't died alone. Not like she was going to.
Gently, she placed the two brave warriors down in the only place she saw fit: The large hole torn into the wall between the Wild West and Roman dioramas, now united, even if through horrifying events.
She could barely even feel the tears in her eyes anymore, nor the piercing ache in her heart. For all she knew, she had been crying for the last five hours without stopping even once. Not that she would have noticed if she had. Her hands were stained with blood and droplets of molten wax, and she wasn't so sure how much of it was real and how much she was imagining anymore.
In the darkened glass behind which she knew the Mayan diorama to be, Bára saw her own reflection, beaten and distraught. Her muddied, discolored boots. The clawmarks across her thigh. Her belt, heavy with familiar items. Flashlight, a set of keys. A second belt with a gun holster but no bullets left, crossed sabers stamped into the dark, once pristine leather. Animal hairs and stains across her clothes. Strings and beads woven into her hair. And atop it all, a golden headdress, governed by vines and knots, an ankh dropping down onto her forehead. He was meant to live forever. They all were supposed to live forever. But now, Bára found herself alone. She had seen Teddy be sliced in half before. No pain, nothing. He had been able to talk, breathe, act normally. But now, not only him, but all of her friends had lost their immortal lives to a creature roaming the museum. Nobody had ever fully seen it and lived. If only the tablet had been able to protect them...
The tablet! Suddenly, a spark of life lit itself within Bára's chest. If the tablet could bring Ahkmenrah to life, Ahkmenrah, who was, by human rules, long since dead, then it had to be able to do it again, didn't it? It was capable of so much, why shouldn't it be able to heal everyone? Stuck in this eternal night, the sun wouldn't doom them. Only the destruction of the tablet would. But the tablet was in the safest place it could possibly be. Bára took a deep breath, then started walking quickly and forcefully across the marble tiles. She reached the entrance hall where Rexy lay shattered on the floor. Buried beneath the bones was a saber, straight at the hilt, then curved. It was heavy in her hands and the handle too big for her, but it would do. It was an honorable weapon and, if she closed her eyes, she felt as if Attila's spirit was in it. In truth, she wasn't alone. Though their bodies may be destroyed, she could sense her friends' spirits floating around her. It was almost as if they were whispering to her, giving her strength in those familiar tones she knew so well. And there was another force, one that seemed to come straight from her blood. An ancient ancestry of warriors and seafarers, surfacing to lend her their power.
A toe-curling cry echoed from the upper floors, sending shivers down Bára's spine. But this time, she didn't run away. She ran towards it. This creature would soon find out what true monstrosity felt like.

Raindrop drop top funny memes

RAINDROP DROP TOP FUNNY MEMES HOW TO
2022 The raindrop sculptures are among their most popular. Marisa Lascala, Good Housekeeping, 22 June 2022 If the virus came in the form of a raindrop, parts of our country would still be getting drenched.ĭr. Martin Weil, Washington Post, 17 July 2022 Here are some names to consider for your own raindrop, also listed in order of popularity. 2022 There is a feeling, an experience, of being you-a feeling that a frying pan, a raindrop, or a lump of sugar does not have.Ĭamille Bromley, The Atlantic, 18 July 2022 Saturday may have had its bright and shining hours, but many of us did not need to look for to see the atmosphere preparing to convert itself to a raindrop production footing. Matthew Cappucci, Washington Post, 9 Aug. 2022 Light enters an ice crystal or raindrop and slows down, but each color slows down, and is resultantly refracted, or bent, at slightly different speeds and angles. 2022 With so many in need, aid that does arrive can disappear like a raindrop in the sand.Ĭara Anna,, 20 Aug. People are pressed over the milk and honey meme when lots of art/music/poetry/ect has been made into jokes before.Recent Examples on the Web Once storms end near and after sunset, a raindrop remains possible till about midnight. I swear to god this Rupi Kaur/Milk and Honey meme is the funniest meme all year… modern poetry in its purest form While others think it’s the best thing that’s happened to the internet in quite some time. Understandably, the meme is a bit divisive. “People aren’t used to poetry that’s so easy and simple,” Kaur herself has said. Kaur’s poetry, which was described in the New York Times as having “artless vulnerability,” is just an easy target. There’s a little bit of that going on with the Milk and Honey Vine quote meme.īut there’s also mockery of poetry in general, and its perceived pretensions. The internet gives especially harsh treatment to popular things young women love, often dismissing them as vapid just because girls like them. And then there’s its main audience: young women on Instagram and Tumblr. Few poetry books ever become social media sensations, let alone receive the kind of exposure and mainstream marketing push Kaur’s book did. What makes Milk and Honey such a target of mockery? Partially, it’s how successful it’s been. Sorry but this shit sucks so bad lol /axjlIv1hkn Twitter’s Bobby was so incensed at Kaur’s poems that he went off on a long, mocking rant, culminating in one brilliant Photoshop:
RAINDROP DROP TOP FUNNY MEMES HOW TO
This was my favorite poem from milk and honey, so deep and meaningful /SMcIoFH0E3Īnd Jared, who never learned how to read: Who said Milk and Honey wasn't real poetry? /O44uBODajt Notable entries include the “Miss Keisha” Vine Other Kaur detractors picked it up and ran with it, making Vine quotes look like actual pages from the book. The trend seems to have started with this tweet by RicardoJKay, which throws shade at Rupi Kaur by implying that adding line breaks to any chunk of text makes it just as poetic as Milk and Honey. Even if it’s “Step the fuck up, Kyle” Vine or the classic “ Post up.” There’s a growing trend of taking absurd quotes from the defunct video site Vine (R.I.P.) and using Photoshop to pass them off as pages from Milk and Honey. Some are obvious jokes, and others … well, if you haven’t read the book, you’d be forgiven for thinking they were real poems. And, as with anything popular, Milk and Honey is facing an inevitable backlash. It’s basically the only contemporary poetry book you can buy on sale at Target. Milk and Honey, a collection of poems by 20-something Canadian social media personality Rupi Kaur, has received a huge amount of exposure since its release in 2016.

The Ghosts of Christmas present
Hardly the most festive Xmas period for North End in recent years with three games played and three defeats on the board. With just a trip to Stoke on Monday afternoon left it sees North End with nul points so far and no looking favourites to get any in the Potteries on Monday. The manner of the defeats in the two most recent games, Huddersfield at home and West Brom away has been very concerning and it has seen North End drop from fifth in the Championship to fourteenth in just thirteen days. Apportioning blame is easy and you can make a case for it being lack of investments, poor tactics from the manager or just a general lack of effort and motivation from the players. Certainly at West Brom my blame is aimed directly at the players but against Huddersfield maybe tactics and team selection came into play.
The game against Huddersfield on Boxing Day was a strange encounter with North End taking the lead and looking ok up to the break. Then the Terriers got their act together in the second half as North End just withered on the Xmas vine to concede two goals in the last fifteen minutes. Once again we had worked our way into a good position in the league only to let it flop at home against the bottom of the league in front of a big crowd. I am sure it is just not North End who manage to mess things up in front of their own faithful but I have lost count of the number of times this has happened in front of the Deepdale faithful over the past twenty years or so.
Following on from the Boxing Day debacle was a trip to West Brom on Thursday evening that, again, panned out much to the form book with North End offering another gutless display and going down by two goals to nil. West Brom have come to a bit lately but the lack of composure on the ball and the tactical ineptitude was utterly woeful on the evening made worse by the fact that there was a sell out 1,972 North End fans down in the West Midlands on a cold and rainy December evening. The body language of the players seemed to me to be very down and no doubt the conspiracy theorist will be onto this. Whatever it was it just wasn`t good enough.
On Monday afternoon North End travel to the bet365 Stadium to take on Alex Neil and his Stoke City side. The home side will be confident of victory after winning at Deepdale added to North End`s recent woeful form. This is a game where Ryan Lowe really must pull something out of the hat because a fourth defeat over the Xmas period would do irreparable damage to the fans base, some of whom have already pledge not to renew their season cards for next time. The Summer is a long way off and much can happen before then but North End really must start getting it together in what promises to be one of the most important Transfer Windows since that disastrous window in 2006. Should North End not invest and finish in the bottom half of the league then I fear the selling value of the club could drop by 25%-33% Surely the owners are aware of this and understand that the only table that matters is the league table after the Sunderland game in May.
And finally this week:- on Thursday evening it was announced that Pele had passed away after a long battle with Cancer. Edson Arantes do Nascimento was the greatest footballer I have ever seen and was a man who was universally respected throughout the football world. His passing is a massive loss to the game and a National tragedy in his home country of Brazil and I doubt we will ever see his like again. R.I.P Sir
