Writer Samuel Johnson said, “by seeing London, I have seen as much of life as the world can show.” He might have been slightly biased coming from England (and writing in the 18th Century not too familiar with what goes on in Bangkok at night). Still, he’s not far wrong and London has always been a capital city filled with rich delights, sights, and sounds, where you can usually find what you want when you want it – no matter the hands on the clock.

London – All the lights shine.

The Big Smoke

Interestingly, at the time of writing and according to Forbes, London is second only to the provocative Thai capital as the most visited city in the world (having just lost the number one spot). Some 16 million tourists descend on “the big smoke” every year and those people are all looking for fun things to do. As you might expect, London has it in abundance.

And like any world-city worth its salt, it offers much when the sun goes down and the people come out to play. Here then, are 20 + things to see and do in London in the evening or at night.

Finding Your Way Around

Before we dive right in, we’ve included a handy Google map of all the main attractions listed here. However, please note for the likes of pubs, clubs and restaurants etcetera, there are simply far too many to pin – so you’re just going to have to sniff those out on your own!

West End Musicals and Theater

Love them or hate them, there’s no doubt that musicals are enormously popular, particularly when in their territory of London’s West End or Broadway in New York. Remember the amount of people who visit London? Well, the Society of London Theater claim that 15 million bums were on auditorium seats in 2017. While we’re not saying that every tourist who visits the city goes to a show – there’s a tremendous amount of them that do!

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast – Just one of hundreds of West End shows.

Musicals like The Lion King, Wicked, Les Misérables and the Phantom of the Opera have been mesmerising audiences for decades, with the cream of film and theater acting talent regularly adding their own box-office clout. If you’re not a fan of musicals, don’t miss some of the world’s best cutting-edge theater, and you might see a global superstar doing what they do best. For many, the highlight of a visit to London is grabbing a ticket to one of these timeless spectacles. Don’t miss it.

Sightseeing the Lights

London, like Paris, is famous for its lights at night and there’s no better way to see them than an evening stroll through the city. It’s particularly stunning at Christmas time when scores of fluorescent bulbs illuminate the streets, but you don’t need to just visit then to experience the magic and charm of London when her lights are on.

Tower Bridge at night is truly a sight to behold.

World-famous sights such as the Houses of Parliament, Piccadilly Circus, Tower Bridge, and St Paul’s Cathedral are all spectacularly lit up at night, and you’ll find no shortage of great walking tours to guide you around them. Just don’t forget your camera’s tripod for taking those truly stunning twilight photographs.

Famous Pubs, Bars, and Clubs

London’s nightlife is up there with the finest in the world, with some of the best pubs, bars, and clubs you could possibly hope to find. From beautiful, ye olde worlde style taverns to avant-garde, swankiness, this city has an establishment to cater for every taste.

Stunning locations like the Dickens Inn await you when you’re thirsty.

If you’re that way inclined, you can even do specially designed London pub tours to make sure you don’t miss out on all the best ones – because your head will be spinning from more than a pint of ale with how many there are. And when you’ve had your fill of the vintage and traditional, hit up some of the best dance clubs on the planet and cut some rug until the early hours.

Comedy/Stand Up

Rattle off a list of British comedians and you’ve got a who’s who of the funniest people ever to grace a comedy stage – and they all started somewhere. The comedy circuit in London is extremely popular for international funny people and a great choice for an alternative night out. You’ve more than half a chance at catching tomorrow’s stars before they make it big.

Gigs, Gigs, and More Gigs

The UK is home to the finest music scene in the world and this is reflected in the sheer amount of live performances you can see across the country week in week out. London has more than its fair share of music gigs available every night, where you can catch all the legends or the next big thing.

And while you’re at it, why not take in the famous history and sites by doing a rock and roll music tour? One of the best ways to truly immerse yourself in the experience and one for true music aficionados everywhere – especially if you’re fans of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.

The Tower of London – Ceremony of the Keys

Visiting the crown jewels is always a highlight for tourists coming to London, many of whom flock here to enjoy the history of the British Royal family. The infamous Tower of London is forever synonymous with that history, with a brutal and bloody past that makes it an exciting and educational attraction – especially at night.

Many a ne’er do well met a timely end here.

The Ceremony of the Keys is the oldest military ceremony in the world, dating back to the middle ages. It starts at exactly 21.53 every night, where the guards perform a fascinating interaction to ensure the keys are kept safe until the morning. It’s totally free, but only 40-50 tourists are allowed access to it, which means that it is nearly always sold out at least 12 months in advance. Remember to book ahead!

The London Eye

When the London Eye opened to the public back in the year 2000 it was the world’s tallest Ferris wheel. Now ranking number three, it’s still the tallest in Europe, and one of London’s premier tourist attractions. As you might expect, you’ll get some of the best views of the capital from here.

Both it and surrounding docks on the river Thames light up beautifully at night – and it’s well worth it to get your ticket in advance to beat the queues. The London Eye features regularly in popular culture and it’s a landmark you really shouldn’t miss when visiting the city. Providing you have a head for heights of course!

Late-Night London Museums

Have you ever seen the movie Night at the Museum? That could very well happen in London town! While the exhibits might not literally come to life, there’s plenty of opportunity for seeing some of the city’s best museums with late opening times offering something to keep all the family happy.

History at your fingertips

Museums like the Tate Modern, British Museum and Transport Museum regularly stay open well into the evening to give everyone the chance of enjoying the exhibitions, while some like the Natural History Museum (pictured above) even have sleepover events where you can stay the whole night! Perhaps the Tyrannosaurus Rex does come alive when nobody’s watching!

A River Thames Cruise

The River Thames is the iconic body of water that flows through the heart of London, inspiring a catalogue of stories, shaping history and defining a city. It’s fondly regarded in these parts, and what better way to see it than taking in a sunset cruise?

Enjoy a glass (or two) of bubbly as you float down this world-famous river, passing all the major landmarks along the way. It’s surely one of the best ways to see the city at a leisurely pace from a unique vantage point, perfect for treating a loved one.

Jack the Ripper/Ghost Tour

England – and the UK in general – is one of the most haunted places on earth, and as such, the popularity of ghost walks and tours has skyrocketed. London is in the very thick of it, with the capital having more than its fair share of ghostly goings on. It’s not for the faint of heart, that’s for sure!

But of all the tales coming out of the capital, perhaps the most infamous is that of Jack the Ripper – the Whitechapel murderer who was never found. He terrorised the city back in 1888, and he still does to this day, as you can “enjoy” a spine-tingling tour through the streets of his old stomping ground. Just don’t look behind you!

The Sky Garden

While not nearly being close to having the skyscrapers of other world cities such as New York or Hong Kong, London certainly has some distinctive ones. 20 Fenchurch Street is one such architectural construction, known affectionately by locals as “the walkie-talkie.”

One of the most interesting things about it is that it has a beautiful, three-floor sky garden with stunning views over the city. It all lights up rather charmingly at night and being the 6th tallest building in the city, it will give you unrivalled views as London sprawls out below you. Sunrise yoga is also extremely popular too!

Visit Shakespeare’s Globe

“All the world’s a stage,” quoted Shakespeare in his play As You Like It, and you’d be mad to miss one of the most beautiful and iconic stages in the world while visiting London. Shakespeare’s Globe is a faithful reconstruction of the bard’s 16th-century theater, and seeing a performance here is a must for anyone who is a fan of the “upstart crow.”

The theater has a repertoire of seasonal work and has been playing to delighted audiences since it opened in 1997. Catch a mesmerising, candle-lit performance of Hamlet, Macbeth, and co if you can, but there’s still plenty to see and do when no shows are scheduled.

Late-Night London Shopping

Just as tempting as visiting a city’s tourist attractions is visiting its shopping districts, particularly if you happen to be in one of the fashion hot-spots of the world. London is no stranger to style and high-end couture, and you can soak it all up by exploring any number of shopping streets in the capital.

Regent Street at Christmas

Oxford Street, Regent Street, Bond Street, and Mayfair have become by-words for shopping excellence, but there are literally hundreds of locations to choose from for a spree at night. And if your legs can’t carry you anymore and you’ve shopped until you’ve dropped, try a chauffeur driven experience to help you carry those bags instead. You can thank us later.

Night Bus Tour

It might not be the night bus of Harry Potter fame (although London does have a number of attractions to keep wizards happy), but taking an open-top bus around the sights is a wonderful way to spend an evening.

For just under two hours you can enjoy views that you wouldn’t get from a walking tour, all from the comfort of your seat. A professional guide is included as well as the option of listening in several different languages. May we suggest you wrap up warm though if sitting upstairs in winter – and be aware that the summer version is mainly conducted in daylight.

Observatory Stargazing

The longer nights bring the perfect opportunity to turn our gaze to the heavens and enjoy some celestial activity, and what better way to enjoy it than visiting one of London’s famous observatories? Hampstead Observatory is open every Friday and Saturday night from the end of September to the beginning of April and it’s free to enter. You’ll learn a lot about the night sky from one of the centre’s knowledgeable and keen volunteers.

The Royal Observatory, Greenwich

Alternatively, you can visit the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, which is located in a UNESCO world heritage site. There you can stand astride the Greenwich Meridian Line and be in the western and eastern hemispheres at the same time! Make sure to visit in the evening for stargazing experiences, astronomer talks and a planetarium show.

Dining Out/Chinatown/Late Markets

London is a foodie’s paradise, with world-class, top quality wining and dining at thousands of restaurants and eateries scattered across the city. There’s something to suit all tastes, but even if you don’t find what you’re looking for, why not visit one of the late-night markets and cook something up for yourself? You could even try a food tour to sample a little bit of everything.

Dining out – one of life’s little pleasures

Alternatively, take in the sights, sounds, and smells of London’s Chinatown. Fine east Asian cooking and experiences await right in the heart of the city and it’s always a joy to visit the region at night – especially if there’s a party going down.

The Shard City View

The Shard is London’s newest addition to its skyline, completed in 2012 making it the tallest building in the UK. Its 95 stories are shaped into a giant shard of glass, and you can enjoy the spectacular, panoramic views from the 72nd floor during the day or at night.

If you’re feeling particularly brave, you can even venture out onto the open-air viewing platform – which is the highest in Europe. There’s also multimedia exhibits and knowledgeable staff on hand to inform you about the London skyline. A great experience all round, but especially magical in the evening.

Late Debate at the Houses of Parliament

One of the most famous buildings in the world, the UK Houses of Parliament is a London icon, not least for the stunning Big-Ben tower and clock. But did you know you can sit in on debates in the public gallery? MPs often work late into the night, and it’s possible to catch them having an argument or two about current affairs.

Of course, you can never be sure what they’re going to be talking about, so it could be sleep-inducing monotony, but it’s still a great alternative attraction at such a revered and historic seat. Don’t forget you can also visit in the day with a guided tour should you prefer.

Bat Tour

Visiting Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon (or any London park for that matter) particularly if the weather is fine. But there’s an increasingly popular activity that has been garnering positive press for members of the order Chiroptera. That’s a fancy name for bats, and you can see them if you attend one of the Royal Park’s Bat Walks.

Not scary at all!

Bats get a bad rep, but with the help of a guide, some of the negative myths will be dispensed with as you use “bat-detectors” to locate and study the creatures. Other nocturnal animals might well make themselves known too, but if you’re not happy with that and a big scaredy-pants – you can always just visit the London Zoo during the day – which is the oldest of its kind in the world.

Become a TV Show Audience Member

The UK is home to some extremely popular TV shows, including the likes of the Voice and the X-Factor, the Graham Norton Show and comedy options Live at the Apollo, Q.I, Mock the Week and Never Mind the Buzzcocks. Plus loads more besides.

Whatever your preference, if you book in advance you just might be able to score some tickets to your favourite TV show. And the best thing about it is – they’re usually free! Failing that, you can join millions of people each year who enjoy one of London’s many film tours, with Harry Potter easily being the biggest draw.

Late Night Madame Tussauds

The world-famous waxwork museum needs little introduction and no visit to the capital is complete without seeing the incredible life-like sculptures of people in the public eye. It’s been drawing in the crowds for over 200 years, constantly evolving and adding new exhibits and experiences. But while it usually closes in the afternoon, late-night Madame Tussauds is also a thing – an adults-only evening that’s guaranteed to be loads of fun.

Rub shoulders with the Queen of England, meet a galaxy of Star Wars characters or give Donald Trump a piece of your mind. You’ll need to book in advance and check dates, but a late-night with a bunch of life-like wax figures couldn’t possibly go wrong!

London Calling…

“A bad day in London is still better than a good day anywhere else,” said an unknown author, and we’re sure that with these sights and attractions, you’ll also have a good night there too. This barely scratches the surface of what you can do in the UK capital, but they’re arguably some of the best ways to spend an evening. You’ll soon discover that London is everything you dreamed it would be.

a post of me talking about one of my fai.ry ta.il self inserts, Sapphira Isolde's visual appearance aesthetics.

sapphira's physical appearance is kind of ethereal, in that she has deep brown eyes, some diamond shaped markings (that could be make up) that lay on the cheekbones, but aren't too close to the cilia and lateral canthus parts of the eye. their hair is long, silky and is styled in the form of side undercut, in which most of her right eye is obscured by her hair sometimes. This undercut does show that opposite side is like. neatly shaved.

I still have yet to choose what colour it is, be it a pastel cyan colour or silver. maybe i might make a poll about that.

I've mentioned this before, but she is a diamond dragon slayer, and her parent was motherglare. she ended up joining blue pegasus after being found alone by a returning blue pegasus team group from a mission. initially her stay was supposed to be temporary but when the guild realised that genuinely no parent was going to show up and pick this kid up even after sending out a continent wide notice about Sapphira's whereabouts, Master Bob realised that they have to take them in because there really isn't anywhere else for her to go.

Sapphira grows up along side with the tri-men, and another fair.y tai.l self insert azure mayweather, and they kinda become inseparable.

When Lok.e was still under contract with Karen, he did take part in training her to control her powers a little more (because motherglare had to juggle two sets of kids. a whole human being AND her own young) - and never got around to fully polishing Sapphira's control of her power.

Karen, blue peg.asus' celestial wizard didn't like this at all but be-grudgingly went along because she's not stupid, she realises having a dragon slayer in their guild is a massive asset. but that's not to say she likes sapphira, in fact she despises her.

anyways, loke and sapphira get along, and when loke vanishes it just. hurts sapphira, whom really wanted loke to watch her finally improve at the highest point: being able to call on the dragon force at will.

Her wardrobe can be described as ‘suits, suits, suits, and mostly more suits’ although there is the occasional skirt, dress and blouses, but suits mostly dominate the wardrobe. Said suits range In different colours: beige, white, black, navy blue, red, royal blue, purple. Some do have sequins, although she saves the fancier stuff for special events and social gatherings.

obviously due in part of being a dragon slayer some tears are inevitable in the suits which was quite annoying at first, but later they opted to get said suits tailored. The adjustments to said suits means making the pants go a little bit below the knees and stops at the shin. Meanwhile the suit sleeves are shortened or removed entirely depending on the design/fit structure of the clothing material.

one of the courses i'm taking is one i really feared would turn into a 'you have to actually carry out a community group program in real life'. and my prediction turned out to correct and I now I just don't like it.... but i can't quit due to graduation. so it's like. I have no other choice but to push through.

Delyth Ophelia objects to Aizen’s idea of kidnapping Orihime, because it’s so obvious to them that this child is not a threat to the Espada (or Arrancar), and it would just come and bite them in the ass because quote: “This Kurosaki boy will come after us. He and his friends would tear down the world if it meant finding her. It will be your arrogance that gets us all killed, and paradise will never be attained. Is abducting a human girl, let alone one of Kurosaki’s friends really worth such a risk?”

Aizen just, waves away Delyth’s concerns because from his perspective the Espada have the greater advantage over the Soul Society AND Ichigo’s tag tag group of friends.

Delyth unamusedly says: “Go ahead Aizen. Do what you will, my opinion as your bodyguard will always be obsolete. But don’t come crying to me with crocodile tears when the Cavalry stampedes on our doorstep.”

They’re not exactly looking out for Orihime, rather they are more concerned with the lives of their fellow Espada and Fraccion, and fears what will happen to all of them if they lose this fight against the Soul Society. They already have built up so much respect for their fellow associates, even if this is a temporary ally ship, it means a lot to them to know that they aren’t alone.

To them abducting Orihime is a waste of time and resources, and while this opinion does soften when they see Orihime’s abilities in person, they do still believe that abducting her is going to be their undoing for all the things they’ve achieved so far. That’s what they ultimately fear, their comrades lives and losing ground on the progress of their goals.

#crocodile tears is an intentional phrase because Dyleth’s animal fraccion form has crocodile features.#kind of like how grimmjow is associated with a Panther or harribel is with a shark. a kinda long post about my ship with Ly.on V.asti.a and my self insert Nova Celestina, and their melancholic-ish meet cute (?)

Ly..on and Nova meet each other for the very first time at the Fai.ray Ta.il Guild, not long after hearing some of its members have gone missing (and that Sirius Island, a place these missing members went to has ‘vanished’) and that the local search parties have turned up NOTHING.

they both go to said guild to hopefully comfort the remaining members who are there. To share a moment of giref and provide a helping hand or two.

Ly..on goes with Ju.ra because Lam..ia Scale has pretty strong ties with FT, and so really it’s just to lend a shoulder for these members to lean on if they ever need help or assistance (of which also Blue Pegasus does too).

Nova goes for for a more personal reason, as that even as one of the few independent freelance mages in Fiore (with no guild attachment), she still holds a special place for Fai.ry Tai.l. It was her old guild after all until aspects of her own personal life had to take priority. She still thinks about the people she was growing up with, and how much they meant to her, and still mean to her. She does find herself thinking about them in even the smallest of tranquil moments when she isn’t taking on a freelance job or being hired on the spot.

Anyways, the two meet each other for the first time at the Fairy Tail Guild and try to offer remaining members support and sort out deals as to what they can do to help them if their other members don’t turn up. It’s essentially a moment for people at the guild to take time to grieve and mourn their friends and compatriots.

Ly.on reflects on how he and Gra.y could have fixed their relationship, because even if they are rivals, he still cares about him. I personally headcanon that Gra.y is like the brother Ly.on never had,the two never always saw each other eye to eye, and sometimes there were arguements that could be deemed as petty. Now Ly.on will never gain the opportunity to fix that relationship after finally being given a second chance by his old childhood friend, let alone be able catch up on their relationship.

It particularly hurts him, especially with their last face-to-face communication being the Nirvana Arc, and Gra.y is the reason why La.Mia S.cale are a legitimate guild now, and Ly.on has turned around his life for the better! but now that opportunity to thank Gra.y is gone… and it breaks his heart into pieces, because he can’t make up for lost time.

Nova just misses the guild that she once called home. And she’s been overdue for a ‘proper’ visit (she briefly shows up in the Phantom Lord-Lucy Rescue Arc to fuck some shit up against PL) but she didn’t properly stay around for long. Even if she left at a young age, fa.iry t.ail still said she could return whenever she needed to, because fairy tail always left their doors open to former members to return whenever they need to.

It was a place she once called home, and now is ever more the opportune time to come back home when her family needs her most. However there is an aspect of.. fearing for the guild’s safety. Fai.ry tai.l is unfortunately a guild that other rival guilds love to target and intimidate. Now with their highest and most capable members missing or worse dead, they can’t protect the guild to the extent than they used too. Even when Gildarts came back, he joined the others to Sirius Island. Nova wants to not just support her old guild and guild mates, but to try to protect them too. She is a relatively powerful mage, having cosmic/chaos devil slayer magic, but even then, it won’t do much because other guilds can take advantage of a mourning, grieving fairy tail in other ways aside from magic (I.e: absurd taxes, owed debts, just general financial abuse and bullying).

It’s just an extra layer of salt added to an already angry wound. It’s just unfair that other guilds will target another simply because it’s taking the time to process grief and move on.

During this… sad/melancholic atmosphere at the FT guild, Ly.on and Nova kinda hit it off well. It does start small but later they become more conversation throughout the day there, talking about their connections and relationships to Fairy Tail and it’s members, telling funny stories and just generally enjoying each other’s company. That’s the general starting point of how they meet, but really the way they fall in love is partly due to their shared connection to Fairy Tail and how their experiences with the guild have changed and helped them improve as people.

I want to make a blazblue self insert that’s a really skilled engineer/mechanic and basically they pull a Tony Stark and just make their own Murakumo Unit Suit. And like it’s an extremely capable and intricate piece of technology that is durable, combat ready, and has like its own code and safety functions in case someone tries to hack into the suit. It’s also very close replicating the real thing, And so when she’s wearing it onlookers genuinely mistake her as being an actual Murakumo Unit.

Some thoughts about Henry being a parent. (Tw for implied emotional and psychological abuse by a family member, particularly by a parent/parental figure).

So… i came across someone’s headcanon that Henry would be an authoraitive father, and basically re-tread the same steps/toxic behaviours as his bio + adoptive dad took when they were raising him…..

And I just want to say, I respectfully disagree. Mostly because the flashback of him in NMH3 saving his siblings from their bio dad, implies that he would FEAR becoming the people he hates (his adoptive dad and his bio dad). And look I get NMH3 Henry is not mentally or emotionally stable enough to be a parent, but if given support and therapy, I think he’d be an actual good parent. And even then, I think his disdain for the horrible father figures in his life, he’d at least in some way be self-cautious/self-reflective enough to not replicate their toxic behaviours.

I will stress that Henry won’t be a perfect parent, but I’d believe he’d at least try to raise his kid/s in way that’s healthy and productive. Unlike his adoptive family, he would absolutely treat his kid/kids with respect and dignity. They would do their best to discourage zeir kids from undertaking the same path as he has. Henry would just do what he can to make sure his kid/s have a genuinely happy and healthy childhood. I mean Henry had his childhood mostly erased, rewritten, it was taken from him without his consent, of course he’d want to make sure that he was a good parent to his kid/s.

Plus, it would be a great ‘fuck you’ to the adopted family that tried to mould him into a puppet. Its as if to say “no! You don’t have any right to be part of my children’s life! You ruined my own life as a child. As an act of revenge, I’m making sure these children turn into decent human beings who are free of your toxic influence.”

It’s like, the smallest act of defiance that lets him carve out his own path and identity. No one protected him, and so the best thing he can do is protect the next generation from his adopted family’s (toxic) influence.

a very long post about bateman, and how i made a mistake liking him in the first place and should have shut that shit down when it started. the prioritization of my white feelings have gotten people hurt and its best to acknowledge that I was wrong for even liking him in the first place.

i really don't want to make a post like this but i just want to ask people to please stop associating me with bateman. I know my feelings were quite strong for him however I should have never liked him to begin with and I should have stopped liking him much earlier. i unfortunately prioritised my white feelings over the comfort of real people and honestly after thinking about it, its just not worth it anymore.

I get I should be self-indulgent but sometimes your feelings for fictional characters can get real people hurt and its your responsibility to accept that fact and own up to it. To my detriment I now recognize that liking bateman was the wrong thing to begin with. sure he has all the social commentary behind him as a character, but honestly that is too late and inexcusable. I was catering to my own feelings over the actual lives of other people who are negatively affected by the character's actions, I've lost friendships over it and now I have to deal with the consequences of my own actions, of which I do deserve. It should also be noted that unfortunately the original commentary of the character has been twisted to become a trojan horse that looks funny but actually peddles and pushes harmfully shitty ideas onto young impressionable audiences in the real world who don't have the full context or understanding of the source media.

When people think of bateman they don't think of the actual in-depth commentary left by Ellis or Herron, no, they think of the vile viral videos that endorse shitty 'alpha sigma whatever bullshit wolf pseudoscience label' ideas onto impressionable young amab teens who are confused and scared about the wider world and how it leaves them to internalize toxic ideas of masculinity. hence why people are reasonably disgusted by him.

I should have known better to even entertain the idea of liking him, and I should have cut myself away from all of his source material to begin with. Real people have gotten hurt due to the nature of the character and the source, I can't forgive myself for that, my reckless self-indulgence has caused real discomfort and harm to other people, I feel that I should have noticed it sooner and dropped him earlier. Hence, why to me, its not really worth liking him in it in the long run, plus like there are so many other much better slasher-like characters out there that don't have the same amount of controversial baggage as bateman has.

I do genuinely want to apologies to people that have felt genuinely hurt by me for liking bateman. Your discomfort is absolutely valid and you have every damn right to not accept any apologies from me, because I have to work for that forgiveness, i have to work hard to earn that respect back. if you've blocked me in the long run, i don't blame you, I'd probably do the same thing too. Sure the heart yearns for what it wants but sometimes you NEED to put that thinking cap back on and priortise other people's safety over your own feelings and that's a good learning experience.

Unfortunately, also I realise that I've put my thinking cap on way too late, and I don't think anything i do is really going to fix that even if I try as hard as a I can. But at the same time it's better to acknowledge that you're wrong as opposed to taking the cowards way out and doubling down, not bothering to learn from the mistakes to begin with.

The only other takeaway from this is that I do acknowledge that american psycho as a piece of media in general is a fantastic litmus test to know the level/understanding of a person's media literacy skills, which is pretty valuable in my opinion. If that's some silver lining I can take away from this, then that's okay with me.

Also before anyone asks, I'm actually not as heartbroken about it at all, however i am disappointed in myself for letting it happen in the first place and I should have just. you know. not enacted upon said crush to begin with. I've deleted many posts involving patrick but there's probably some that i've missed and i'l do my best to search through my blog to find them and delete the rest.
