Jeffery Johnson -

Jeffery Johnson was born on September 21st 1980 and died on September 5th 2002, at the age of 21.

There was just something different about running across a large field with a prized possession in his hand while others ran after him, attempting to stop him.

Even as a child, Jeffery showed great interests in sports. He loved dribbling basketballs, batting baseballs, but he had a certain fondness for football.

He was top of his class, always being team captain or picked first when playing sports with his classmates.

Jeffery wasn't the brightest kid though, falling behind his peers often.

It didn't matter much. He always was very charismatic, and got what he wanted with sugarsweet words.

Even with his bad grades, his parents supported him none the less. Hoping on him getting into the NFL.

And he did, flourishing under the spotlight he seemed to find himself in.

Jeffery was gaining popularity quickly. Both for his amazing work out in the field and devilishly good looks. Admired by all, but one.

The teammate was a jealous one. He was a lot older and didn't see even a fraction of popularity Jeffery got.

When the NFL season started on the 5th of September 2002, Jeffery was excited to play his first official season. But his excitement was short lived as he was strangled by a teammate in the locker rooms.

For the first few years he was reanimated, he was brash and aggressive. He was frustrated and devastated at his life being taken from him at such a young age, when he finally started making a name for himself.

But with the help of others, he managed to become his old goofball, childish, self again.

The Suburban Almanac: Scientist

The Zombie team's guardian a̶n̶g̶e̶l̶ devil! Bio: The 2nd soldier to be deployed since the beginning of the war. Scientist is the most respected zombie on his team, for his incredible intelligence, gentleman behavior, (at least compared to the rest) and life-saving inventions. Despite being calm and clean most of the time, he certainly has a crazy side. Nobody loves laughing maniacally while brewing up incredibly dangerous potions more than him. And if given the chance, he could absolutely take down the entire plant team on his own if he goes full cookoo mode. Close relationships: -Foot Soldier- To put it short, they have known each other the longest out of every other zombie and have been best friends for years now. Soldier helps keep him from snapping, and Sci helps him out with his poor math skills (been trying to figure out 5+5 for decades now). One cant imagine life without the other. -All Star and Engie- Foot Soldier is his #1, and these 2 are his #1A. They have spent years together now. They like talking about the good old days of the war when it was just them, him and Foot. -Slide- After making the gadgets that helped cure her injuries, She became his trusy and clumsy lab assistant. Theyre close friends behind the lab business, and enjoy each others company well. He gets pretty protective of her too. -Imp- They understand each other on a crazy level. When these 2 are alone together, expect something to blow up. Final fun facts: -He created a lot of the weaponry that his teammates use (Space Cadet's pod, all of Slide's electro blasters + her rocket skates, All-Star's forcefield dummy etc.) -He does his absolute best to impress Zomboss, in hopes of getting promoted. (Never gonna happen, but he wont stop trying) -Hates rose more than any other plant.

FUCK IT BFN THOUGHTS SO FAR

okay so. the game is Fun but it’s not the same type of fun as garden warfare. bfn feels akin to splatoon or overwatch and if any pvz game would have meta it’d be it

first up. i think the art style is really a hit or miss bfn leans heavy with the cartoony style. which emphasises shapes, personality and geometry while the gw games emphasised texture, colours and realism. what you prefer is simply your own tastes, i prefer the gw style but i think both have their drawbacks and positives (bfn’s characters all have super strong shape language but lack gw’s detailed textures) anyway what i don’t like

i really am not a fan of how characters HAVE to have a mirror counterpart in the game. most notably the scientist and sunflower lost all their offense capabilities. i main marine biologist and frequently play + am pretty decent with some sunflowers but playing them in bfn felt so jank and weak i did not enjoy it

weird random changes to characters like the chomper not having the goop or rose’s goatify i still do not understand

almost no character has splash damage God Help Me

lack of roots on the plants

turf takeover is literally just the payload thing from ow idk what it’s called i’ve barely seen any ow in my life

sprinting. it removes the whole each character has their own speed and you work with that dynamic

smaller lobbies

overall everything just feels shorter which i don’t really like

customisations are more annoying to get

the prize bulb tree thingy idk it disrupts gameplay

the voices for the new guys + sunflower sound too. Human

no gnome plot as far as i know

sound design all the bullets sound the same and i am being thrown off

THE CHAT FUNCTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i’ve been praying that it’d get added to gw since 2015

the new plants + space cadet they’re SO FUN to use i had a blast teaming up with other acorns and space cadets

the world geometry is really good

the singleplayer stuff is wonderful, but i wish there was more

the fact boss hunts aren’t a timed event is great (< missed both the zombie ones)

the fact the game is so ambitious and changes so much

also the fact it isn’t gw3

the changes to the z-mech reticle, all-star shields actually being useful, health boosts from sunflowers/scientists

the funderdome looks fun but i have yet to play it

the shader genuinely rocks for dark areas ourhg
