Der Wespenfisch aka Neovespicula depressifrons ist ein an den Küstenregion des Indo- Pazifischen Raums vorkommender Drachenkopffisch. Wie die meisten Drachenkopffische verfügt auch der Wespenfisch über Giftstacheln in einigen seiner Flossenstrahlen. Eine Haltung dieses, seltener eingeführten, bis zu 10cm groß werdenden Fisches ist in Brack- und Meerwasser Artenbecken sehr gut möglich. Einzig eine Vergesellschaftung, in ausreichend großen Aquarien, mit dem Segelkärpflings #poeciliavelifera scheint eine vertretbare Lösung zu sein. Diese über 15cm erreichenden Mollienser stehen nicht mehr im Beutespektrum und ihr regelmäßiger Nachwuchs ist eine gute Ergänzung des Nahrungsangebots. Im Gegenzug sind die Segelkärpflinge ein gutes Mittel gegen Verschiedenste Algenaufwüchse. Weitergehend ernährt man Wespenfische am besten mit lebenden Salinenkrebsen und Garnelen.
