i think protosaber is white bread but he at least has like, prototype fragments to do stuff in. he has lore even if i dont care for it. protolancer has nothing. he has 5 minutes of screentime in a trailer-style ova animation of the scrapped original fate/stay night concept. he has a material book entry and fgo profile that come down to "well he's basically the same as fsn lancer except different" with no elaboration. they had like the implied presence of some setup going with saying he's younger and not as sure about how cool he is with where his life ended up but then they actually followed up on that setup with setanta, making proto even more obsolete than before. he's effectively just an alt costume except they gave him a different voice actor so it's more like he's a second rate celebrity impersonator. i don't care about this. why are we inviting the guy who just coincidentally kinda looks like family to the family cookout.

It might just be because Cu is one of my favorite characters, but I still dont get why his only 5 star form is BerzCu. Like why are his lancer, caster and proto form all 3 stars???? I get That when the game first started out having characters the fans recognized from the show was/is good, so I guess having OG Cu be one of the first 3star lancers you get is understandable. But still???? At least with his Caster or ProtoLancer form please???? 4star Cu with his Hounds?!!!!

well kotomine kirei technically comes from nasu and not urobuchi but hes pretty much bonkers. as for izaya, sure there are similarities (the crafty villain that is everywhere in every series) but im pretty izaya has different motivations anyway

Ah sorry I didn't know that since I recently watched/finished Fate/Zero ;u; but thanks for telling me this so I dont fuck up on that next time wow. Oh yeah I saw how bonkers he got. I'm gonna assume he's just as bonkers in Stay/Night? But what I meant was that he's from an anime that Urobuchi was involved with just like Makishima (even tho he's from Amano). I don't know I just remembered seeing a post in his tag about how he's similar to Kirei which honestly I don't understand. Maybe I'll have to get into Stay/Night to undeerstand it.

Ah yeah Izaya just does it for the amusement I guess though he's screwing himself over in the light novels lately.

Makishima well...I guess I'll just have to continue watching to see if those comparisons are right.

Though what I can say is that he's not like Haizaki Shougo at all which was why this conversation even occured in the first place.
