We are anticipating a weather event with high winds over the next few days. Our electric company has informed 800,000 customers in Northern CA, including myself that we may be without power for a couple of days starting tomorrow and up to 7 days for repairs. This will most likely affect cell reception so I may not have any access to your message or orders. I will be updating the ship time to 3-5 days this evening in anticipation of the event. Hurricane Preparedness

So we are just hours away from Hurricane Florence to come baring down on the Carolinas, Virginia, and to some degree Georgia, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Kentucky. Many people living in the North Carolina interior may not be used to hurricanes, so I wanted to list just a few things that can be done to prepare for hours and/or days without power or water. 

If at this point you can't find water, * get jugs or gallon ziplock bags and fill them with tap water. Most bottled water is tap water. If it makes you feel better, boil the water first. The bags of water can also be frozen to keep your freezer items from spoiling. You can also use frozen bottles of water. * Batteries, flashlights, and lanterns. Make sure you have one or multiple. * Get perishable items and a can opener. Don't rush to stock your fridge/freezer.

* Charcoal grills are your friend. * Leave a voicemail with your status for family and friends in case your phone battery dies. Also charge computers, tablets, portable charges to serve as a backup phone charger. * Because I don't like certain bugs, I closed/stopped up my drains to keep pests from trying to seek refuge through the drains. (maybe it's just me)
