Do you have a recommendation for a specific book of your work for folks who showed up for your Bg3 stuff?
(Also if you read the parts out of order would that be an issue?)
welcome aboard!!! thank you so much for checking my bg3 stuff out, it's a pleasure to have you
as i said in my other post over here, im predominantly an extreme horror artist! i 100% decline to call myself an eroguro artist because personally i dont find the kind of gore & horror i do particularly erotic, but im super fascinated with the horrors of the body & the darkness of the general human experience, so thats the kind of stuff i tend to make. it isnt the worst most heinous Ever you'll find out there, but im fully aware that it's A Lot, so everything i make with @meanbossart is thoroughly warned for so nobody goes into our body of work unaware & gets a nasty shock.
bg3 in particular goes some pretty dark routes (some bits in a dark urge run even made me kinda reel back and go "jesus"), so id say for people coming in from bg3 your mileage may heavily vary. if torture & really extreme body horror doesnt bother you, you may be OK with SAD SACK (sus.space/sadsack) and its current wip sequel SORTIE (sus.space/sortie), but i would still recommend reading each book's individual content warnings thoroughly before choosing to spend any money. (everything is paywalled to further deter minors.) if you're on the fence about how much horror content is too much for you, or if you're curious about these titles but find the content warnings to be concerning, my DMs on tumblr+twitter and my IMs are always open if you have any questions about particular CWs or even need specific page numbers so you can either skip that bit of gore or be informed enough to approach the page number(s), take a Deep breath, and proceed when youre ready!
for these 2 titles in particular, unfortunately they do have a linear story, so to fully grasp what's going on requires reading the books in order. again if it's something youre curious to the point of wanting to try but on the fence about, i am always welcoming of inquiring DMs to help make the experience thrilling + chilling but Not genuinely upsetting.
if you're OK with a little violence and body horror but not as splatterfest as these titles, im currently chipping away at the preliminaries for my giant project LOVOS4017 (lovos4017.the-comic.org) which is a love letter to TNG scifi and 80s cyberpunk anime. im currently on pause with the roughs since last year due to COVID frontline burnout, but ive by no means abandoned it; this IP is my baby that ive been workshopping the show bible for for over a decade & i want to see it through to the end B)
finally if you would like to read our work but want to avoid gore and extreme violence entirely, we do have some stuff that is violence-free! [email protected] (suscomics.itch.io/pooppix) is a comic with a really bonkers premise but no violence and no visible onscreen poop i promise about finding genuine human connection over unusual shared interests on the internet. ATTACK DOG (suscomics.itch.io/attackdog) is also a short solo comic i did myself about sex, quasi-submission fetish, & the requirements of true love (theres some mild gooey body weirdness but no gore i promise)
overall i thank you for showing interest in what @meanbossart & i do! we tend towards strange & unusual premises and presentations, but i hope that you find something within our body of work that entertains you. if you every have any questions about anything, please please please feel free to DM me at any time; my goal in life is to entertain & provoke thought!

I bought the comic [email protected] off of itchio today. it’s about a depressed 29 year old office worker who participates in a kik chatroom where users post pictures of their turds. one day, his idol from the chat hits him up and tells him that he wants to visit him........irl (:O !!!!!), antics and bonding ensue.
there are no actual pictures of poop in this comic and I thought that the story was very sweet (the humor is also very I Feel Sick-era jhonen vasquez-ish if you like that too). it’s on sale right now so if you have like, $10 to spare, I would really recommend picking it up.

Hello! hope you are doing well too. Pooppix has a part two prelim'd and Nick has considered sketching out a part 3, however our workloads are massive and we are prioritizing other projects.
Frankly I don't think we expected people to enjoy the series so much, as it was always intended as more of a side thing-- But hey as far as problems go, that's a pretty good one to have!

I do agree with the previous commenter that the original ending where Rowan gets angry would be a major tone shift for the comic but I think it's a 1000% justifiable response. I don't know how you come back from that, Rowan must simply be built different in the "let us never speak of this again" ending because I'd be going no contact immediately.
word, ending i need to add on basically i want a consolidation of the big morose ending mostly with rowan asking like. alright bud what was that. explain. focusing way more on the awkward than anything else lol

here to gush about [email protected]. spoilers ahead!
i saw some comments on it here before i picked it up so i can't say i was surprised by how uh... wholesome? it was despite the bizarre premise. but i was totally taken by the story and nearly moved to tears in the end. colin is incredibly relatable: an avatar of the special kind of loneliness that's made both better and worse by the internet. and it made me smile to see rowan impart some of the life (and death) lessons from Rotten. i'll admit i hoped for more than friendship! i respect the choice you made, but then seeing the "1/3" in the end made me hope some more, lol.
i know there are preliminaries for part 2. currently fighting the temptation to read it because i think i'd prefer the finalized thing, but we'll see. all in all, i'm greatly enjoying your stuff and it's just a matter of time before i go on and pick up Sad Sack.

ive got prelims up for pooppix2 on patreon it’s true, but honestly im Extremely dissatisfied with its ending as it takes a hard left turn into the type of melodrama i dont really care for. i need to rework the ending but you can actually read all the pooppix2 prelims i like over here on twitter for free! the chunk i like anyway lol i chopped the ending off in this thread & shortened it by like 100 pages LOL

hi I bought poopix recently and cried after I finished reading it. I am much like colin (except I do not take impressive dumps. and even if I did... I would probably not post pics of them in a kik chat) so it hit really hard for me. anyway a couple days after I finished reading I worked up the courage to talk to someone I've wanted to get to know for a while now and it went well👍 thanks for your comic hope you have a great day/week/life etc.
thank you so much for reading. pooppix is the story with the most absurdist premise & thereby (hopefully) the hardest hitting Actual story, & im so glad it was effective.

ik u r mostly getting character related asks but sadly i still havent read sad sack so i cant do that BUT i do have another ask!
i have like 3 billion creative projects goin on at any given time and im finally taking the big step to make my most important one actually happen next month, but my other ones just sorta sit there waiting for me to flip the switch and get them going. iirc from the stream with cryptid coven ur comics were more of an impulse thing with friends that blossomed into a bigger idea, but have you ever struggled with getting yourself to push past the brainstorming phase and actually start putting things out there? do you think it gets easier to keep stuff going once its out of your head and into the world, or harder?

no worries lol sad sack is like Long And Kinda Harrowing no rush! BUT I LOVE ANY ASKS ESPECIALLY TALKIN-SHOP ASKS SO YOURE IN LUCK
the truth is sad sack was a total outlier project cus i had the exact same problem! like id make dozens of show bibles, then get intimidated by the scale of the project, then shelve them indefinitely. sad sack was going "fuck it im just gonna start and then start narrative weaving as i go," sortie was an exercise in more doubling back & editing, & after getting those done (and namely showing myself that i Could get large projects done) i got the confidence to start tackling the project backlog! [email protected] was an ANCIENT story from like 2010 for instance, & the current one lovos4017 ive been workshopping behind the scenes pretty much nonstop since 2013 lol. it absolutely gets easier once you prove to yourself like, hey i Can do it!!! starting with short ones or doing a story where you just go by the seat of your pants is great for building that initial confidence to start chipping into the backlog!

ok, i read pooppix2 and -- spoilers! -- oh. my. god.
oh, colin (facepalm, with feeling). like, it wasn't hard to see that it was going towards some catastrophe of mythic proportions but i didn't see *that* coming (ahem). i stared at it for solid 10 seconds, shaking my head in disbelief. lol
also, i snorted my tea through my nose at <3 so reasonably sized <3
kudos for cutting out a genuine argument in the aftermath, that would've been too heavy for the tone you set up so far. and i can totally see rowen rationalizing it somehow, or pretending it didn't happen, rather than getting angry.
that said, the end is totally how i feared it would be! the mother of all cliffhangers! any chance you'll draw those closure pages in the near future?
I WILL AT SOME POINT I PROMISE LOL, it's literally just a wrapup with them clearing their throats & mutually going like :| so it's not anything huge lol. and yeah the original ending after that comedic buildup was like the biggest wet fart imaginable. it was like 100 extra pages of just Strife & like im not opposed to drawing Strife but it was just such a snorefest. i dont regret doing them tho even if they never see the light of day, 100 pages is 100 opportunities to practice layout & experiment hehe

I audibly screamed at the pooppix 2 ending holy shit. Woke my housemates up at the tender hour of 7am. Genuinely had to put my phone down for a minute after seeing the. Yknow. Colin oh my god. Oh my god Colin.
Also feel very heavily for Rowan because I've been on the receiving end of awkward one sided crushes (fortunately I have never experienced anything like what happened at the end of pp2 good GOD). You think you have a best friend then alla the sudden! Funny business. Anyway whether you decide to rework the ending and finish it or not I think it's a great comic👍

Oh my fuckin gggooodddd dude I had no clue you did prelims to pooppix2 and now I’m losing my mind reading them on Twitter! I would be replying a storm to my face panels if I had an account there. I love these two dudes so much lmfao you’re so good at writing dialogue and interactions that feel natural and casual, it really does seem effortless. I think it’s my favorite part of your work for sure
