CW: I knew that my facility ground was home to a few scavenger tribes, but I never realized that each region would house different kinds of tribes with different beliefs and social system CW: I've noted that each region except for myself, the Void Source, the Great Lake, and the Sewer System has housed ONE tribe each. With a total of 11 different tribes inside my facility ground:

The Megakarta Tribe (Mega Kingdom). This scavenger tribe lives in the city of Megakarta above my rooftop. This tribe might be the most advanced of the other tribes because they have access to the ancient technology and knowledge that were left behind when they all ascended. This tribe might also be the biggest with around 500 scavengers in population, quite a number for such a species. Unlike other tribes, they aren't led by a chieftain but by a King. And in the latest survey scan, I found out he was named Sama-Sama by his people.

The Urbaningrum Tribe (Urban Tribe). This scavenger tribe was the predecessor of the ones living in Megakarta. They still have a good relationship between the two tribes. This tribe lived in the middle of the abandoned city of Urbaningrum with a population of around 100 scavengers, the 2nd largest tribe after the Megakarta Kingdom. They often sail into the Great Lake with their rafts to find food and pearls. This tribe is led by a chieftain which they called Kami-Kami.

The Old Mine Tribe (Miner Tribe). This scavenger tribe is home to the 'richest' scavenger tribe of them all. This is due to them living in the old mine that once also stored pearls amongst other minerals. They protect their pearls and minerals from creatures and other tribes by storing them inside old vaults that were once used by the ancients. This tribe's population is around 50 scavengers in total and is led by Kaya-Kaya.

The Swampland Tribe (Swamp Tribe). This scavenger tribe lived to adapt to the wetlands. Using the high level of water and the density of the trees to hide themselves from predators and help them in hunting. They often used rafts to travel the swamps and are agile swimmers. They're over 50 scavengers in total and is led by Sawa-Sawa.

The Garbage Disposal Region Pirates (Garbage Pirate). Unlike other tribes, this one is the most unfriendly of them all. They live in the G.D.R. (Garbage Disposal Region) with little to no resources except garbage and waste. So they had to steal and pirate other tribes to preserve themselves. This pirate group has over 75 scavengers in total and is led by Baja-Baja.

The Giant Forest Tribe (Forest Tribe). This tribe lives in the tall branches high above the ground. Creating a system of treehouses for their tribe and adapting to swinging from tree to tree. This tribe uses traps as their method of hunting and security measures. With over 50 scavengers in total and led by Poho-Poho, this tribe is the most tactical of them all.

The Agriculture Complex Tribe (Farmer Tribe). This tribe lives by farming, a skill they learned from watching the ancients long ago. Once the ancients were gone, they overtook parts of the complex and turn it into their village, away from the many carnivorous plants that often threatened their territory. This tribe lives with over 50 scavengers in population and is led by Tani-Tani.

The Upstream Tribe (Waterfall Tribe). This tribe lives in the dangerous hills and cliffs of the waterfalls in the Upstream. They learned how to traverse the extreme terrain and hunt fish in the streams near the waterfalls. This tribe has only over 30 scavengers in total and is led by Buki-Buki.

Mt. Everhigh Monks (Mountain Monks). This group of scavengers is quite special. There are only 15 of them in total but it seems like they are guarding something in the peak of the mountain. Now, with the mountain being beyond the retaining wall and how big the mountain is, not to mention these scavengers seemed to be way more powerful than any other scavengers. I haven't been able to research what it is that they are guarding. All of my overseers that I sent there have been destroyed by the monks. It seems like their leader is called Jaga-Jaga, and in the meantime, I will let them be.

The Green Sanctuary Tribe (Sanctuary Protectors). This tribe of scavengers was created by me and my creator, Mistress Stains, to act as the guardian of the Green Sanctuary Region. They were hardwired to protect the wildlife inside the region and preserve the sanctuary's pureness. Even though it was a long time ago, it seems like the 50 descendants of those scavengers still has those system installed in their instincts. They are led by the wise Huta-Huta.

The Plain Outskirts Tribe (Plain Tribe). This last tribe of scavengers lives in the plain biome on the outskirts of Urbaningrum City. They have over 100 scavengers scattered all over the plain with not much center of society between all of them. They are pretty nomadic themselves, unlike other scavenger tribes. As such they have no central leader but they do have a good sense of community between them all.

CW: My estimation of their entire population is not 100% accurate, but that is the estimation that I've scanned for over 100 cycles. I am curious to learn more about their social system and their relations with each other CW: ...I wonder if I could create an organism that would resemble them in a way that would let me look deeper into their society. hi! new to hockey here and i have a maybe dumb question: we got kyle as “president of hockey operations”. are we still looking for a general manager? or is president of hockey operations just another way to name the GM position? thank you 🤍🤍

Hi! Welcome. Not dumb at all, the front office stuff in the NHL can get obtuse.

POHO is a separate position from GM. Generally, for teams that employ both positions, the GM reports to the POHO, who has final say on the overall team strategy and vision, as well as other aspects of hockey operations (hiring scouts, training staff, the analytics department, etc—everything needed for the care and feeding of a successful hockey team). It is up to the GM to align with the POHO and execute the vision by handling trades, the draft, managing the cap, etc—basically the day-to-day running and team-building. Not all teams have a POHO (before Brian Burke the Penguins never had), and in those cases the GM generally handles all of the tasks of both roles.

Kyle said yesterday in his presser that since we are close to some key dates (the draft is at the end of the month and free agency starts July 1), he’s going to hold off on searching for a GM until July, and will be performing those duties himself on an interim basis. This is the right call IMO because it allows him to focus on learning the team and its organizational strengths and weaknesses, work on identifying where hires might need to be made, and focus on getting the draft and the start of free agency right. It also means he won’t be rushing the GM search just for the sake of hiring someone to be a body in that position, so he’s more likely to get that right, too.

The downside is a lot of the major GM work of the off-season might be finished by the time he’s conducting interviews and making his final decision, and that may put off some candidates—however, there are only 32 GM roles in the league, and my impression was that Kyle sees this as a long-term position for him, and thus presumably for whoever he hires as GM as well. That means that while they might miss out on this summer, they’ll have the foreseeable future to work on maximizing the Sidney Crosby window while also looking to shortening the rebuild window once the core retires—and as Kyle has said he plans to pick someone with a more progressive eye towards team construction, it’s likely they would have been aligned on the decisions Kyle will be making over the next few weeks anyway.

22. Shame- Food For Worms

Az első Shame lemezt rengetget hallgattam. Mondanám, hogy rongyosra, de sajnos a streaming korában már ez is elveszett. De amúgy tényleg, iszonyú nagy kedvenc volt az a lemez, meg még mindig az igazából. Most ezzel lehet hülyeséget mondok, de vállalom, hogy emlékeim szerint ők voltak az egyik úttörői a nagy poszt-punk revivalnek, de nem ez fogott meg bennük, mert az, hogy poszt-punk nem feltétlenül hívószó nálam, hanem az, hogy az egyértelmű Fall hatások mellett felfedezni véltem ilyen Dischord Records hatásokat is. Az meg csak hab volt tortán, hogy olyan társadalmi és politikai kérdéseket feszegettek a szövegekben, amik szerintem is elég fontosak, szóval még ebben is hasonlítottak az általam imádott washingtoni harDCore zenekarokra. Nem sokkal a lemez megjelenése után láthattam volna őket Bécsben egy kis helyen, meg is volt a jegy, de egy héttel a koncert előtt lemondták, mert hogy a koncert napján Jools Holland legendás műsorában léptek fel inkább. Ott azért eléggé megorroltam rájuk. Ennyit a nagy lázadásról, fütyül egyet a brit közszolgálati, és már bokáznak is, a rajongók meg le vannak szarva! Ráadásul akkoriban az énekes arc még egész visszafogott volt, mert most már nekem nem kicsit too much. Kb már így default, hogy állandóan félmeztelen, pedig no offense, semmi cink, de én ezt a pohos felső testet nem mutogatnám! Szerintem a mondanivaló meg a dühös üzenetek pólóban is átjönnének. Na mindegy, nem vagyunk egyformák. Lehet hogy ilyenek miatt, de inkább azért, mert kurvára magasan volt a léc az első lemezzel, nekem a második lemez annyira nem jött be. A kritika amúgy szerette mondván, hogy még dühösebbek lettek meg még kísérletezgetősebbek, ami igaz is, de ezzel pont elvesztek a jó dalok, amivel tele volt az első lemez.

Kicsit le is tettem erről a zenekarról, szóval mérsékelten voltam lelkes, amikor az első kislemezt kiadták az új lemezről. Nem segített az sem, hogy a Six-Pack folytatta ezt a kísérletezős vonalat, úgyhogy nem voltak nagy reményeim az albummal kapcsolatban, de hát itt jött be, hogy mennyire fontos egy jó nyitódal! Most már nem tudom hány éve, de pénteken vannak a lemezmegjelenések (régen hétfőn voltak), és én minden péntek reggel 6-ra megyek a Hármashatár hegyre futni, és ehhez 4:40-kor kell kelni. Ez pont olyan szar, aminek hangzik. Mármint nem a futás, hanem a felkelés. A legtöbb péntek hajnalon egy-egy új lemez megjelenése tartja bennem a lelket, így volt ez a Shame lemezzel is. Gondoltam, lássuk, a hajnali kelésnél nem lehet szarabb, és hát nem is volt szarabb, sőt a nyitószám annyira jó volt, és annyira fellelkesített, hogy az azt követő Six-Pack itt már kifejezetten tetszett, és ez így ment végig az egész lemezen, és mivel a második legjobb szám szerintem a zárószám, így úgy fejeztem be, hogy ezt újból meg kell hallgatnom! Elég ügyes húzás! Amúgy az album nem visszatérés az általam imádott első a lemezhez, hanem a másodikon elővezetett zenei világ sokkal jobban előadva, szóval itt is vannak új területek, amik eddig nem voltak, meg itt is van düh meg méreg, de valahogy sikerült ezt úgy megoldani, hogy emlékszem is a dalokra. Lehet, hogy ezt már csak én mesélem be magamnak, de ez már nem is Dischord stílus sokszor, hanem egy kommerszebb, felhasználóbarátabb My War éra Black Flag. Így vagy úgy, kellemes meglepetés ez a lemez, de azért továbbra is a Songs Of Praise marad nekem a Shame lemez. Kb 1 hónapja felléptek itt Budapesten, de nem mentem, mert másnap reggel futás volt hajnalban a hegyen. Ahhoz, hogy ezt skippeljem, még egy ennél is sokkal jobb lemez kell.
