Ever wondered the difference between a Bambino and a Dwarf Fiddle Leaf Fig? 🌱 They are actually the same plant! 🤭 If you’re searching for a house plant that fits snugly into your limited space, caring for a Bambino is just as easy as regular fiddles! 🌿 The main distinction is that Bambinos reach a maximum height of 3 feet. They maintain a lovely bushy and compact form, making them ideal for cozy homes with smaller spaces 🏡💚 In the video: Our 7” Tapered Planter in Terracotta. 🪴 #repotting #fiddleleaffig #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantlovers #plantparent #plantcaretips #fiddleleaffigcare

Houseplant Care
March is the time to repot houseplants in need. When the roots are visible from the drainage holes or start growing out of them, it’s time for a new home. Choose a container that’s an inch or two larger than the original or root prune the plant by slicing half an inch of roots off the sides and bottom of the root ball and put it back in the same pot with
When the houseplants begin to show new growth it’s time to start fertilizing. Jack’s Classic is a good water-soluble fertilizer that’s available at independent garden centers. Always read and follow the directions on the package. If you prefer an organic fertilizer, Neptune’s Harvest Fish/Seaweed Fertilizer contains everything a plant needs to thrive. Though it’s deodorized the faint smell lasts only a few hours. Never fertilize a plant when the soil is dry. Water it first and let it sit for a day – then fertilize it.
Growing from Seed
Folks who are new to seed starting often make the mistake of starting seeds too early. The rule of thumb for starting seeds is to begin 6 weeks or so weeks prior to the planting time, so the plants do not grow tall and spindly from lack of light. Plants in this condition are badly stressed and may fail to thrive. However, come take longer times to germinate so follow the directions on the seed packet. Those of us who live in cold climbs have two to three months to wait for planting time but now is a good time to shop for seeds, potting soils, and other equipment.
The temperature of the soil is the key to success when planting. Cool weather lovers, such as lettuce, Swiss chard, kale, and peas need soil temperatures at 50 degrees F. Warm weather lovers, including tomatoes, peppers, and basil need soil temperatures of 60 degrees F. A soil thermometer, available at garden centers and in big boxes, will take the mystery out of timing and may save your plants.

My philo. White Wizard, which I ALWAYS mistake for white knight 🤦🏻‍♀️the main difference being the red tinted petiole in the knight. I used to have one but somewhere down the line itttt died. But lucky I have my white wizard, clearly the real knight in shining armor 🧙! I recently sliced and diced this plant baby up and all the cuttings took! Even the main stalk grew really fast. This here is the first cutting I’ve transferred to a soil medium. I planed on keeping it like I have which have been- bright indirect (with a touch of direct light) humidity and a great light airy aroid soil mix. My next experiment with this plant will be to see if I can get it to climb. Overall, I would consider this a medium level plant. Once established though it should grow for anyone with ease 😊 #plantsincolor :: :: :: :: #apartmentbotanist #philodendronwhitewizard #philodendron #philodendronfanatic #philofan #variegatedplants #rareplants #rare #plantcommunity #houseplantcare #plantcare #plantcaretips #plantcareisselfcare #propagation #potting #plantpotting https://www.instagram.com/p/CB15BWMgjbG/?igshid=k94cn8us6xy4
