He’s a bit more chivalrous than usual, taking care to hold doors open for you, pull out your chair for you to sit in, and kiss the back of your hand before he lets go. After dinner, you can pick between visiting a tavern for some drinks and dancing, or taking a stroll outside the walls of Mondstadt to take in the stars. No matter what you choose, you’re bound to have a great time, and Kaeya will ensure that you have a wonderful night

Notwithstanding their seeming cliché status, red roses are beloved for a reason. Since they have always symbolised love, they have cemented their status as the favoured romantic flower. AN: Hey guys, it’s me again! Just thought I ought to say, if you want vague updates and to talk to me more, I have a Helluva Boss Tumblr, too! Tumblr is Gimme-A-Thrust! I also have a writing Discord that is currently pretty dead. xD If you want it, please contact me on Tumblr/Twitter!
Sorry for the absence! I’ve been having a rough go of it for a bit, now, but things are okay. Well, they’re stable, now, at least. I think things will get better. At any rate, I really had a lot of fun with this fic, I love incorporating the language of flowers into my different fics, and it put me in the mood to work on my hanahaki fics a bit more. Who knows, maybe I will.
Requests for headcanons and fics are still open on my blog if anyone is interested! I’ve got a small queue right now for fics, and I’m slowly pecking at them between 30 Days Of Fizzarozzie prompt fills. I just kind of let the fics go where they go, and I don’t have a cap for how long they will be because it stresses me out less. I will get to the ones I have accepted, even if it takes me a bit to get there.
Anyway, that’s enough of me rambling, I hope y’all enjoy this one! It’s sweet (for the most part).
30 Days Of Fizzarozzie Fic Masterlist
Lily Of The Valley Of The Shadow Of Death
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Giving flowers to a demon one liked was a sentimental statement, for sure, but Fizzarolli couldn’t help himself. He just knew that Asmodeus would love these. Hopefully. Maybe. They were his favorite flower, after all, in all of creation. His frazzled nerves were warranted, maybe even to be expected, and he kept telling himself that this would be fine. It was fine. They’d already done the confessing part, so this was fine.
The mixture of Calla Lilies wrapped in the appropriately colored paper would no doubt please him, right? There were four purple Calla lilies, symbolizing admiration and enchantment, and twelve red ones that harkened to his love, courage, and lust for him. The six orange ones were for energy and excitement, the two pink for adoration and appreciation, and finally in the center was the most important of all.
In the spray of flowers, a circle of five white lilies with a red one shone like a beacon in the very center. The white represented purity, innocence, elegance, and rebirth, and most importantly, was a symbol of holiness. Ozzie was a demon that enjoyed blaspheming maybe even more than the other Sins, and so Fizzarolli had wanted to surprise him with something to his taste. He hoped that his lover would like it because he'd had to go to Earth in order to find them. The bouquet had cost him an arm and a leg (but not quite literally), and he found himself begging in his head that the Dark Lords could make this a success.
Making his way to Ozzie’s at-home office where he usually did his paperwork that wasn’t club related, he couldn’t help walking at his usual pace instead of taking wide strides like he often did. The elder demon had many businesses under his belt, and Olli couldn’t fault him for wanting to condense things into one room when he had the chance to. Knocking on the door after hesitating for a few seconds, Olli took a deep breath and held it as he waited for the go-ahead. Ozzie didn’t often like to be disturbed when he was working, and Fizzarolli recalled him saying something about having to work on some numbers for the factory. If it was money, parts, or product, Fizzarolli couldn’t remember, it hadn’t seemed important to him at the time. What he’d noticed was that Ozzie would be busy for a while, and that gave him time to set up his gift.
“Need somethin’, Baby?” Ozzie asked loudly enough to be heard through the wooden door, and as he sat back in his rolling chair, he could be heard heaving a sigh as the springs groaned from his weight. Fizzarolli could visualize him in there, pinching the fur between his eyes, rubbing them, and all three heads yawning in broken increments that made them have to look away not to get trapped in a loop. There was no doubt that he was tired, probably frustrated, since he hadn’t been able to indulge in his sin all morning, “Come on in, Sexy. I could use a break from this, anyway.”
Raising up on his robotic legs with a mechanical whir and soft jingle, Fizzarolli opened the door and chewed on his tongue for a second as it poked out of his mouth. Inching into the room shyly, like he was afraid of being bitten, he carefully made sure that he wasn’t taller than the reclining King he had brought these to. Half of him wanted to lay prostrate on the ground, offer up his gift like he was presenting it to the new Messiah, but he refrained from the dramatic gesture, if only barely. Ozzie rose his eyebrows in surprise when Olli held out the bouquet of lilies, and his eyes scanned over the flowers for a moment before his heads tipped in curiosity.
“You got me flowers?” He asked after a brief pause that lasted for a thousand decades, and Fizzarolli nodded slowly, his lungs burning from  holding his breath for so long, “Breathe, Baby, it’s okay.” Holding out his arms, Ozzie welcomed the large (even if it was small to him) bundle of flowers into his hands, and Fizzarolli watched him bring them to his face. Sniffing them and catching a scant, delicately sweet scent, he smiled softly, his eyes sliding closed for a moment. He recognized the meanings behind these, as that had always been something important to him, and as much as some of them concerned him, he actually kind of liked the tenderness behind this gesture. It felt odd and somehow uncomfortable and like an old, familiar dress found in the back of a closet. He slipped into it with little delay despite himself.
“I, uh…” Fizzarolli rubbed the back of his neck, averting his gaze and swallowing audibly, “I know you like those, and I wanted to do something special for you. There’s this uh… This thing, you know, on Earth. Valentine’s Day? I think it’s got something to do with holy bullshit, there’s a cherub for it and all that shit. I know how much you like blaspheming, and so, uh, I just…” Trailing off, he didn’t really notice when Ozzie moved, and he blinked up at him with wide pink eyes.
Setting the cut flowers on his desk, he turned his chair more to fully face the other with a gentle purr in his chest. Taking the other’s face in his hands, Ozzie kissed him slowly, carefully parting the other’s lips with his tongue, evocative as the gesture was, it was so Ozzie. When Fizzarolli opened up to him with a gentle moan, the King couldn’t help but lap at his tongue, his hands sliding down the other’s clothed torso, holding onto his suspenders with a happy little growl.
“I love ‘em” Ozzie slurred against his mouth, licking his lips and nuzzling their faces together. The bull and goat joined him in petting Fizzarolli with mouths, chins, and foreheads, a loud purr emanating from the large demon’s body. It was almost enough to vibrate Olli right off of his metallic legs, and Ozzie scooped him up into his arms to keep him from falling. It was a little more than that, but he didn’t know if he could even admit that to himself.
“I got you somethin’ else, too, Ozz.” The imp grinned, pulling away from the other and relishing in the thin line of saliva tethering their lips together, watching in delight as it snapped,  “Grab the flowers, let’s go to the kitchen. I think you’ll like it.” Hopefully.
The secrecy behind his second gift intrigued Ozzie, and he carried Olli and the flowers out of his office. Fizzarolli closed the door behind them with an easy extension of his arm, and he purred to match Ozzie’s deep rumbling as they walked. Upon the center island in the kitchen sat a fully anatomically correct heart with a deep hole where the arteries gave out to emptiness. Immediately, Ozzie’s shoulders sagged with relaxed ease and a stupid, lovestruck smile worked onto his face.
“You really do know me, huh?” He asked softly, almost shyly, “Is it ready, or do I need to fill it and put the preservation packet things in it?”
“All full and ready for ya, Big Guy.” Olli beamed up at him, clearly proud of himself, “I thought of everything. Even cut the flowers down a bit more for you. Figured you deserved it.” He couldn’t force Ozzie to do more work than necessary for his gift, it felt wrong.
“For once, I kind of like this shi– This kind of thing. I don’t usually get presents like this.” It felt nice to be spoiled instead of doing the spoiling, and it brought a brightly glowing, gracious smirk to all three faces, “Guess I have to rethink that ‘sentimentality allergy,’ huh?”
“Selective allergies fucking suck, huh?” Unable to help himself, Olli climbed up to sit on the other’s shoulder, kissing the goat’s mouth as Ozzie unwrapped his flowers. The bull was over in a heartbeat to join them, and Fizzarolli had to give both of them wanton, wet, and sloppy, open-mouthed caresses of their mouths. Freeing the blooms from their lavender and primrose paper prison, Ozzie hummed pleasantly as he went about carefully organizing the flowers in the vase to keep from losing the centerpiece of the whole thing.
“Yeah, I guess so.” Ozzie finally answered, glancing over at him, “You really shoulda got a better vase, though, there’s so many of these.”
“I wanted it to be special,” Came the distracted reply as Olli smacked his lips in a much appreciated, erotic display, “The number thirty means–”
“Dedication to one’s duty or task.” Finishing the other’s sentence, Ozzie tried to hide his fond smile by turning away, “I’m very aware of that. I just… Guess I’ve never been given something like this. I’m not trying to nitpick. They’re… You’re–” He couldn’t finish his own sentence. What was wrong with him?
“Dashing? Handsome? Lovely? Sexy?” In love with everything about you? Loyal to a fault? Ready to do, be, say, and complete anything for you? Constantly ready to ask how high you’d like me to jump? He was thankful none of these things left his mouth because he didn’t think Ozzie could handle any more mushy feelings without combusting.
“...All of the above, Olli Baby.” He really, really needed to get over this stupid, blushy, embarrassing behavior or he was going to lose his reputation with his lover in a front-page story of a King ‘burned alive by his own stupidity’ kind of way.
“You are, too, Babe. Promise I won’t do it too much, long as you don’t mind it.” I want to do it every day.
“You’re welcome to do it whenever, Sweet–” Ozzie paused, gulped, and sighed, unable to finish what he was saying, “Uh… Sugar tits.” Well… That wasn’t really what he wanted but he supposed it worked better than anything too romantic. Sweetheart wouldn’t fit his usual persona, his bravado, his stance on love. Then again, he was fairly sure that Fizzarolli had changed him, had ruined him for others, for himself, his ideals, and his firmly held beliefs.
“Sugar tits?” Barking a laugh, Olli puffed up his chest and pressed his hands to the sides of his pecs like he might try and push them together, but there wasn’t much of a difference, “Looks like I’m pretty flat, Ozz.” He still appreciated the attempt, though, wishing he could hear ‘sweetheart’ in that smooth voice he’d fallen in love with.
“Your skin’s always sweet, could get your nipples in my mouth and suck ‘em like I’ll get something out of them. Maybe even until I do.”
There he was, good ol’ Asmodeus, King of Lust, Deadly Sin Incarnate, being his normal, slutty self. If he couldn’t be an unabashed whore, what was the point in being alive?
Olli hugged his head, pressing his face into the other’s cheek as his arms enveloped the other’s neck, tangling up in his mane happily.
“Yeah? You’re lucky I lesbians you,” The imp snorted as he rolled his eyes, happy that Ozzie hadn’t stopped him at that, “Nobody else can get away with sucking on me at all.”
“Yeah, well, I fucked it up for you wanting anyone else, and we all know it.” Ozzie’s full-body purr returned, and Fizzarolli couldn’t help but return it with a soft, warm smile.
“Yeah, and I think I broke you a little, too.”
Oh, he had definitely cracked something in him, but Ozzie couldn’t even find it in himself to be upset about it. Fizzarolli had come into his life and changed everything, and he still hoped that it was for the better and not to his detriment. That didn’t mean he wouldn’t indulge in his silly little guy until he wrung the life from him, however. There was no separating them, at this point, not without them amputating the parts of themselves that made them whole.
Fizzarolli had had just about enough of amputating things at this point in his life.
“I lesbians you, too.” Ozzie finally murmured, sighing softly as he closed his eyes, “And I’m going to wreck that pretty mouth for saying it, too.”
All Olli could do was bark in excitement, letting Ozzie get away with changing the subject.

Anniversary Gift Ideas
Romance has long been inextricably linked to different types of flowers symbolizing different emotions. Find out how this tradition is carried on to celebrate wedding anniversaries.
The beauty of flowers and the celebration of love are harmonious – so much so that it's difficult to remember a time when we didn't associate romance with the delight of receiving a fragrant fresh anniversary bouquet.
While roses are truly the quintessential messengers of love (a surefire way to celebrate a new love or romantic milestone), during the Victorian era, couples also used other varieties of fresh flowers to send messages to each other – each expressing a different heartfelt emotion. Those meanings are carried on today as ways to commemorate each wedding anniversary with floral gifts.
Carnation: 1st Anniversary: From the red carnation that symbolizes admiration to the white that represents pure and innocent love or the pink bloom that says “I'll never forget you,” the carnation – with its long-lasting qualities and clove-like delicate fragrance – embodies joy and commitment promised for years to come.
Lily 2nd Anniversary: Signifying happiness and purity of heart, lilies of the valley have long been associated with humility and devotion. Legend has it that a nightingale's affection for this beautiful flower was so strong that it wouldn't return to the woods until the flower bloomed in spring
Sunflower: 3rd Anniversary: It's said that a gift of sunflowers signifies a "devout admirer." Representing strength, warmth and nourishment – all attributes of the sun itself – the way in which a sunflower turns to follow the sun symbolizes deep loyalty and constancy
Hydrangea 4th Anniversary: With lush globes filled with a delicate lace of small petals, the hydrangea symbolizes both gratefulness and pride – celebrating heartfelt praise and appreciation.
Daisy 5th Anniversary: While the well-known legend carried over from Victorian times has it that maidens would pluck a daisy's petals one by one to predict their romantic future, daisies are also known to indicate innocence, purity and gentleness on behalf of both the giver and recipient, declaring: "You have as many virtues as this flower has petals."
Calla 6th Anniversary: The calla – with its trumpet-shaped blooms and graceful, slender profile – is a symbol of transition and growth, reflecting the beauty and pride gained from shared wisdom over time.
Freesia 7th Anniversary: A symbol of trust and fidelity, freesia is an antidote to the proverbial saying that the seventh year of marriage provokes restlessness. Representing faithfulness through the seasons, it's a traditional reminder of love's honorable character.
Lilac 8th Anniversary: With their heart-shaped, deep green leaves and irresistibly fragrant blooms, lilacs have been treasured for generations. Reminiscent of springtime and young love, they symbolize and recall love's first emotions.
Bird of Paradise 9th Anniversary: Resembling one of the most striking, exotic birds in the world, birds of paradise, with large orange and blue blossoms, symbolize magnificence and splendor – celebrating romance's unexpected side.
Daffodil 10th Anniversary: 10th Anniversary: In nature as in romance the daffodil reminds us of renewal and simple pleasures. Possessing a fresh, sweet fragrance, this joyful bloom symbolizes singular love and chivalry
Tulip 11th Anniversary: Symbolizing a declaration of love, legend has it that the tulip's velvety black center represents a lover's heart darkened by the heat of passion. Believed by many to be the most romantic of flowers, tulips also represent elegance and grace.
Peony 12th Anniversary: In full bloom, the lush peony embodies romance and prosperity. Known as the flower of riches and honor, the peony is regarded as an omen of good fortune and a happy marriage.
Chrysantheum 13th Anniversary: While misfortune is frequently associated with the number thirteen, there's nothing unlucky about a chrysanthemum fresh floral arrangement that represents this wedding anniversary. Long associated with abundance and loveliness, the chrysanthemum is also a symbol for fidelity
Orchid 14th Anniversary: A pink orchid conveys pure affection. The popular cattelya orchid represents mature charm. With a universal message of love, beauty, wisdom and thoughtfulness, the graceful orchid symbolizes affection and understanding
Rose 15th Anniversary: One of the earliest flowers known to man, roses symbolize love, magic, hope and passion. It's said Cleopatra scattered rose petals before Mark Antony's feet representing ultimate beauty and perfection. Exquisite and radiant, they are the quintessential messengers of love.
Aster 20th Anniversary: Believed to have magical properties, the aster is said to be a talisman of love. Symbolizing patience and elegance, the star-like bloom represents a combination of gained wisdom and good fortune
Iris 25th Anniversary: Combining many of the best characteristics of a long, happy marriage – faith, hope, wisdom, valor and promise – the iris is also the emblem of France, one of the most romantic countries in the world.
Lily 30th Anniversary: The majestic status of 30 years of marriage isn't lost on this anniversary's flower. In addition to symbolizing magnificence, the sweetly fragrant lily, with its star-shaped bloom, represents devotion, pride and beauty – further testaments to such a significant milestone.
Gladioulus 40th Anniversary: Derived from the Latin word gladius, meaning “sword,” for the shape of its leaves, the gladiolus signifies remembrance – fitting for an anniversary with so many years to recall. Also expressing vibrancy and infatuation, this showy flower tells the recipient that he or she “pierces the heart.”
Yellow Rose and violets 50th Anniversary: It's not surprising that the wedding anniversary that celebrates a half century of marriage should have two flowers to represent its significance. Yellow roses have long been known as the traditional gift for this anniversary. With their sun-kissed color, lush blossoms and subtle fragrance, they represent the inner light and beauty of a long, prosperous marriage. With yellow roses, violets share the spotlight in commemorating this important occasion. Legend has it that when Josephine married Napoleon, she wore a string of violets, and on every wedding anniversary thereafter, Napoleon sent her a violet bouquet. Symbolizing virtue, modesty and faithfulness, violets represent the combination of humility and commitment that sustains an enduring union.

It’s Not All Hearts and Roses
“Nothing says I love you like roses.” I am sure we’ve all heard that phrase before, right?  As I reflect on this past Valentine’s Day, I think of all Valentine’s Day related events in which the decorations were dominated by hearts and roses.  Although the heart and the rose are strong symbols of love, romance, passion, and emotion, when it comes to Valentine’s Day my philosophy is that it’s not all hearts and roses.  In relation to floral design for Valentine’s Day events, I like to branch out and use a variety of flowers in various shades of red, pink, and white. Here are some alternative to pair with roses or to mix without roses that still symbolize love and all things related to love.
White calla lilies are symbolic of purity.
Orchids of any color signify beauty, love, and vigor.
Red carnations represent love, honor and appreciation.
Pink carnations represent the love of a woman or a mother.
White carnations embody purity and unadulterated love.
Chrysanthemums are reflective of faithfulness, devoted love, and treasured friendship.
Dahlias signify enduring connections and commitments.
Gardenias reflect purity and love.
Magenta lilacs represent love and passion.
Peonies are symbolic of happiness
Tulips signify flawless love and faithfulness.
Baby’s Breath embody endless love and purity.
Here are some sample arrangements to give you some ideas to try.

The possibilities are endless, so get creative and use arrangements that best represent your love, passion, emotion, and romance.  Don’t limit yourself because remember “it’s not all hearts and roses.”

Observational Notes 05/15/2018:
Tumblr media
NAGEL DINING HALL: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
The photo to the right shows the display that I put out on the check-out stand. The text says:
The Lupine ~ Voraciousness & Imagination
Miss Rumphius by Barbra Cooney
“Lupines. Now they call her the Lupine Lady. Sometimes my friends stand with me outside her gate, curious to see the old, old lady who planted the fields of lupines… ‘When I grow up,’ I tell her, ‘I too will go to faraway places and come home to live by the sea.’ ‘That is all very well, little Alice,’ says my aunt. ‘but there is a third thing you must do.’ What is that? I ask her. ‘You must do something to make the world more beautiful.’”
And the box says take one, leaving it up to the viewer to take a paper or a flower or both or even not to take one.  I sat in the corner and observed the different reactions of people.
ll of the available tables inside are full. 71 degrees right now, and 50% of the outdoor tables are full. There is fluctuating line at the register as of 11:05.
Staff to patron ratio: 8:30
11:30 From where I am sitting I do not hear any music. No predominant smell. Taste: I ate a salad, it tasted like water. Tables and general area is pretty clean.
There is a girl picking her teeth which is pretty gross. Only two people eating alone, they don't seem to be uncomfortable… I got chips, the people checking out are nice /friendly… I am in an indoor environment, so there are no naturally occurring flowers around me except those that I have laid out.
2:45 less people by more than half.
What surprised me? That approximately 75% of the people just walked by the flowers without even noticing them. They are in a completely unnatural environment, so they stood out especially because of the bright box they were in.
What intrigued me? How quickly the amount of people changed in the eating area!! In only 30 min. For the people who did stop to look at the flowers or take one without saying anything or having a visible reaction, I would have liked to know what they were thinking.
What disturbed me? tHe girl picking her teeth & my watery salad. The one person who rolled there eyes, who does that to flowers...?
Here are some quotes that I picked up on:
« i lové lilacs, i have a new lilac bush in my house »
« this is so sweet «  smiles «  who did this »
"i want to read this book"
75% walk by without looking
people take read and smile
smiles and nods « look at this cute message « 100 percent of ppl who have taken them have been girls
five people around it all talking about it... some start talking about their favorite flowers
one person rolled their eyes
miss suzie came and said that this is the sweetest thing she’s ever seen and that she would parade me around her family
the one guys stopped to smell the lilacs
one girl took a flower and put it behind her ear while she was eating
I wonder if there would be a different reaction if the bouquet was bigger or if i actually had lupines
