When you have so many books to choose from, gathered from years of spending time in charity shops, bargain book stores and the like, it’s hard to know what to read and when. For me, I have to make lists, organise my reading if you will and one the ways I manage that is by having ‘Seasonal Reading Lists’. This Summer, I have collected together, everything I have by the long forgotten author ‘Cecil Roberts’, who despite being a prolific writer, is practically unknown today. His style does seem a little dated, but the content, particularly of what I call his travel adventures, still holds up.

He’s worth seeking out, and spending some time with, if you are prepared to go with the flow of his writing style, which is very 1950′s/60′s.
