Hey! How's it going? Been doing interesting or fun things? I hope all is well with everyone reading this.

Long sims ramble below the cut. :)

I've been remaking my hodgepodge sims calculator with inspiration drawn from executables-sims' post seen here, and to test it out, I started a 'hood that has been brewing in my mind for a little while now. I've taken some of the elder sims (plus some that have already passed on but I wanted) from the premade hoods and remade them as university students. :D

I've been playing but not really documenting much screenshot-wise because I was fussing with reshade settings and organizing downloads... This is a whole other topic, but I always wanted to use skell's repository stuff but the way they had things organized put me off. With picknmix's outfit organizer though, it's so simple to change clothing categories and merge packages, it's great! Still time consuming, but less than it would be if I had to use SimPE for it all.

Anyway. This new neighborhood. I started with the chosen sims in university - I'm using katatty's Academie Le Tour makeover because I've never used it before - and once they graduate, I'm going to move them into her makeover of Downtown, until they start having kids, then I'll move them into the 'main' hood, as yet undecorated because I think it will be a little while before I get there.

The sims are currently in the second half of freshman year. Everyone is in dorms, and after each term, I'm randomizing who is living with who so everyone has a chance to meet and make friends or enemies. I'm playing pretty hands off rn, fulfilling the odd want and making sure they go to bed because I'm not up for figuring out why, a lot of the time, they won't autonomously use their beds (they do sometimes, but not consistently, I reckon it's probably a mod issue). Today, someone rolled the first "flirt with a specific sim" want, and that's exciting stuff!

Without input from myself (and keeping the ACR default setting of 10%), 6 of the 8 female sims in my Elders-But-As-Uni-Students neighborhood (must come up with a better name) rolled to be lesbians. This has caused a few broken hearts already!

It started with Coral Ruggbyrne (aka Coral Oldie) and Betty Goldstein. Coral was the first sim to roll a want to flirt with a specific sim - that sim was Betty. They were also the first to make use of a double bed. They only share 1 bolt, however.

Then Faith Decker (originally Faith Goodie) - poor Faith. She had a crush on Contessa for a semester and a half, but never tried anything with her. Contessa, at the time, was not interested in anyone of any gender (that has now changed - Contessa was the first sim to decide she was bisexual). Then Faith moved into a dorm with Betty and Coral, and she was finally brave enough to flirt with someone. I witnessed her flirt with Coral (Betty must have seen her also, because she became furious with her) but I think she must have also flirted with Betty, because Coral is also livid with her? I said it once, I'll say it again - poor Faith.

Next up, Betty Simovitch (better known as Betty Newbie) discovered she has three bolts of chemistry with Betty Goldstein, so they were pretty flirty for a while. That seems to have been the final nail in the coffin for Betty Goldstein and Coral.

Finally, after showing no romantic interest for 6 whole semesters, Catherine Sutter (aka Catherine Viejo) has decided she's in love with her bestest friend, you guessed it - Betty Goldstein! What is it about her? They only have 2 bolts, but they've both rolled wants to get engaged to each other. That's quick, but I guess they are BFFs. Betty Goldstein and Betty Simovitch aren't in love and currently have no wants pertaining to each other, but there's still 2 semesters until everyone graduates. Things could change.

If you were counting, you'll notice I've only named 5 out of 6 sims. The last one has no romantic drama, but plenty of enemies - it's Olive Muenda herself!

Every other sim has had no romantic interaction whatsoever, so there are no other budding relationships to report on.
