Everyone has at least one embarrassing situation to recall. Or comes with a common gap in knowledge that strikes an absolute nerd in that field as ridiculous. Sira, however composed and seemingly gloomy, doesn't pose an exception. Michael's mouth barely curves upward by a minute bit, barely visible really, as she drops such warning— bad decision. It takes three whole seconds of a poor attempt at compliance and Michael snorts ere bursting into wholehearted, unbridled laughter. The story wasn't actually super funny until she warned him. And Sira's deadpan expression? Doesn't help at all!
Slumping back in the chair, one hand brought to his stomach, he makes an effort to give a dismissive wave of his free hand. In tandem with a shake of his head just when his laugh trails into quieter snickers. " Y-you can't... " He blinks, tears already gathering in his eyes. Breathe. " Can't tell me n-not to... " Another giggle cuts him off, though Michael forces himself to calm down some. Sighing; alright, again: " You can't tell me not to laugh and expect me not to laugh. "

Okay spoilers for the twisted tale of sleeping beauty book.
In the book of twisted tales "Once Upon a Dream" aurora realises that these "gifts" weren't for her but for her husband that she'll never meet, like come on out of everything the three fairies could of gave they choose to give her song and dance, like how that going to help her kingdom? And there's a scene in the book where aurora says to the Philip "I am not cheerful and lighthearted. You caught me on a good morning, when I was going mad with loneliness from living in a forest with three crazy aunts"

They would have given them to her "husband", which would have been more logical…
Except for Merriweather - her gift of happiness can be interpreted in different ways, but it would have been more useful. (My favorite Fairy is Merryweather. If she had been given some screen time and lines, I would have been delighted)
As well as the other two gifts.
Let's assume that the "Gift of Beauty" is that Aurora is able to charm anyone with beauty.
Using her power correctly, it can bring her some benefit.
The gift of singing is also if the meaning is that Aurora has a beautiful voice that everyone will want to hear.
On the other hand, her husband will expose it more like a bird in a cage. "More decoration than personality."
By the way, this is an interesting detail!
In fact, Aurora lived in isolation from society. Seeing only his three aunts and animals in the forest.
We were not shown how a teenager copes with this.
I just thank everyone that Toboso did not take as a basis the original version of the Brothers Grimm of this fairy tale…

There are a few short stories in my drafts/docs but I've only recently considered ao3. For sure was hesitant on even sharing it publicly LMAO but after realizing there are moments I want to share without waiting until I "visit the universe" of the OC I want to flesh out in "story mode", I will share the moments in their lives prior to the tadpole whenever I feel like dropping in lol fsijfksdkj which is usually when I start to miss them.
