It is drawn to people who are sick with contagious diseases. It doesn’t seem to heal the disease or even alleviate symptoms as many fairy-types do, preferring to stare in silence. It has a complicated courtship dance that varies between different regions. Hidden by its mask-like beak are five rows of sharp teeth that are shed and regrown.
