Idk if this has been asked before so ima ask it, how did you get into Houseki?
listen... i simply saw a bunch of art and refs of the anime back in 2017 while the anime was airing, and got curious about who the blue bowl cut guy was and just had to know.
i was instantly in crazy mode after starting it. the whole set up of the story got me OBSESSED, so i binged the manga in like 2 days and it spiraled from there.
at the time, i had caught up to the beginning of the moon arc and it was painful. no words except this specific scene had changed my brain chemistry:
just crying, dying, throwing up, staring at the ceiling for hours with rapid shots of emotions firing into my brain lol the peak of my descent...

Hi Pemprika :) I'm really a fan of your work. I wanted to ask about your HnK pins, since I hoped to buy some in particular (I'm in love with your Ventricosus, Aculeatus and youngest version of Phos among the others) but I see that the first two are sold out. These are among the designs that will be discontinued, is it correct? If so, is there any possibility of a new design for them in the future? (Only if you would like to share, I wanted to know if there's any particular reason for the discontinuing)
I hope I can still find them at least as grade B pins. If not, I'm happy to have a lot of choices with the other characters :)
Hi! I'm sorry for the delayed response... 🤧 Yes, I'll have b-grades of Ventricosus and Aculeatus available when I reopen my store in early June (tentatively); however, Aculeatus is much lower in stock than the rest. 😣
The IPSEITY pins require quite a bit of logistics and space to manage, and for me to bulk order in (very) large quantities, and sadly, I'm not that confident in selling high volumes of certain characters... 😢
If I get more interest from others, I would consider bringing them back in the future, but as for now, I plan on discontinuing the admirabillis and others. 😭 I also don't have plans on new admirabillis merch but that might change depending on my ideas!

moon shinshsa head canons pls

this ask is splitting my head... i think you're referring to lunarian shinsha during the 10,000 years waiting period? if you are, i've admittedly been avoiding the recent developments tbh but i do have thoughts!
shinsha is probably more accustomed to talking with others by this point, although still a little flustered with group outings. they probably have a lot more friends, including lunarians. ;_;
i love the idea of shinsha being an incredible florist, despite not having been able to directly touch plants for a long, long time. since they were always careful and observant on earth, i bet their keen instincts allowed them to be renowned for their new floral work!
not me projecting again, but i think shinsha reminisces about phos a lot, and especially when they work with daffodils. ichikawa had used daffodils in reference with phos in her art book and i love it bc it refers to "rebirth and new beginnings"
now that i think about it, i do really like the idea of shinsha arranging daffodils on phos' behalf, maybe as a way to cope with their guilt and regret. .....punches myself..
i don't think shinsha cares too much how they appear, so fashion isn't exactly something they look for... however, i think it's cute how they bun up their hair now. i like to think they enjoy stylizing their hair in up-do's more while they're working. it's a change of pace :-)
now i'm spiraling... what if antarc hangs out with shinsha a lot after their work? i love... love... how they are buddies now. i bet they caught up on a lot, especially regarding phos. i'm sure they would get along, especially with the way they coped with being in solitude differently...
i hope this was what you were referring to! and if not, sorry for word vomiting a bunch of useless thoughts at once

What are your thoughts on Lapis Lazuli and their impact on the characters of Houseki, such as Ghost and Euc. and obviously what are your thoughts on the ships of LapiGhost and LapiEuc(? idk if thats the ship name)
also omg I wonder if Cinnabar and Lapis have ever spoke, that would be a super interesting interaction lol
i think ichikawa wrote lapis lazuli in such tasteful subtlety and complexity by showing bits of their lore through other characters’ perspectives, i.e euclase and ghost, rather than telling it blatantly. it adds to their mystery and charm! i love how lapis was a rule bender as if they lived to defy. their manipulative and daring personality is a catalyst and speaks in volumes with how euclase and ghost reminisces about them so differently.
with context clues, euclase and lapis seemed like they clashed with their morals, and it makes it all the more interesting to think about euclase’ possible unresolved discontentment with lapis being projected onto phos after changing heads (who knows). i’ve also seen portrayals of euc and lapis being intellectually competitive, like.. one uses wits for good and the other for chaos lol maybe at one point, they had fun playing card games together. 😭
compared to euclase, ghost passively pedestaled lapis and i like to think their fondness for lapis was far greater than the other way around. like...they are giving one-sided yearning even in "death". i like to think that ghost was drawn to lapis' openness and how they weren't immediately off-put by their dual-personality...(cairngorm)
lapis and shinsha are an interesting duo! if it's anyone but sensei, dia, or rutile, there's only a 0.0000000001% chance of talking with shinsha because they'll just avoid the situation entirely. if they were to interact, i envision lapis being curious about shinsha's intellect... maybe they could have deep conversations about the moon and the possibilities of gem mortality...

Brooo it was soo good... It ended perfectly without showing too much or little. Laois' ending was actually so funny I cried
The only thing I wanted to see more of was life during the aftermath of getting Farlin back. 🥺 If Kui ever releases bonus pieces in the future, I hope she would include short stories of the characters' lives... like does Chilchack get to see his wife and family again? 🥺 I am so attached to Dungeon Meshi's world building...I'm going to miss this series sm but I'm so excited for the anime to come out... The trailer looks fun 😣
