this is actually an excellent death match because theyre basically the same build but kali’s just better optimized as an ambush predator and king errs toward tank/dps hybrid (but isn’t very good at it imo). her base damage is probably lower but, like the crocodilian death roll, her “thrash” grapple combo is pretty much a guaranteed kill if it finishes. she also has higher def and resistance to slashing/piercing attacks due to her thick subcutaneous fat layer. king has higher base damage but the chain whip grapple wouldn’t be as effective against kali because she’s too big to throw around. also for a tank build he has the worst def lmao
normally i’m against tank/dps hybrids playing the long game (and it only served to hinder him in the canon boss fight) but in this particular case i do think king would have to keep kali away from him in order to survive. as long as he can avoid her jaws she won’t be able to do enough damage to really fuck him up, so he can chip at her hp with magic attacks until she realizes it’s a lost cause and flees. but if she gets a good bite on one of his legs or his neck… she’ll shred him like a dog toy.
