Travesía Circuito Macizo Paine Grande.

Día 2 – Diciembre 26 de 2017.

– Distancia: 14km – Tiempo: 4h 50min – Ascenso total: 367m – Descenso total: 357m

Es el día 2 de nuestra aventura y realizaremos el primer tramo de la travesía por el Macizo Paine, nos esperan 14 kilómetros de Trekking desde el Campamento Las Torres hasta el Campamento Serón, ubicado a orillas del río Paine, al cual llegamos luego de unas 5 horas de caminata con muy poco desnivel.

Este primer tramo para muchos no es el mas bello del parque, y es además el que menos dificultad tiene, pues se trata al comienzo de un ancho camino al parecer de origen vehicular, para luego terminar en un sendero algo mas angosto pero sin ninguna dificultad técnica, hasta aquí cualquier persona con estado físico puede realizar este tramo sin ningún problema.

Uno de los principales atractivos que tiene este tramo, es el campo de margaritas que se encuentra en el último tercio del camino, sin duda un lugar increíble, en donde nos acordamos de porque nuestro himno habla del campo de “flores bordado”.

Otro de los atractivos que adorna este sector es el río Paine, el cual nos acompañará por varios tramos de esta maravillosa travesía, en donde el viento y las lluvia nos daban tregua pues aunque suene irreal, cada vez que caminábamos la intensidad de la lluvia era soportable, sin embargo cada vez que ya estábamos al interior de las carpas, el aguacero caía por arte de magia.

El primer día en Serón fue para descansar, nos protegimos de la lluvia que comenzó a caer alrededor de las 20 hrs. y no paró hasta el amanecer.

Full blog post at http://ift.tt/2sRNJBy Every year, thousand of people are drawn to Torres del Paine National Park to hike through the soaring mountains and view the bright blue glaciers and lakes. It's not surprising that this area of Patagonia is a major destination for trekking and the ‘O’ circuit trek and the W trek are gaining in popularity quickly! The hikes range from single day hikes up to 12 day backcountry adventures via the ‘O’ circuit. I chose to hike the Torres del Paine ‘O’ Circuit which leads into the back of the park, far from the crowds and leads to beautiful views that can’t be seen from the W trek. One of the highlights of the ‘O’ trek is crossing over the John Gardener Pass and getting the first view of Glacier Grey. Then, after descending, we hiked alongside the massive glacier for hours and watched it crack and crumble right in front of us. Hiking in Torres del Paine remains one of my favorite adventures over the past two years of traveling! Our Route: Day 1. Torres Central Camping to Las Torres: 12mi (19km) Day 2. Torres Central Camping to Campamento Seron: 8mi (13km) Day 3. Campamento Seron to Refugio Dickson: 11.25mi (18km) Day 4. Refugio Dickson to Los Perros: 7.5mi (12km) Day 5.
