Anche se ti vedo in magnifica forma, mi sembra doveroso chiederti: ti sei ripreso dalla faticaccia che è stata quest’esperienza? » la domanda pende per qualche istante, poi l’intervistatrice incalza. « Al punto di rifarla, magari? » 　　« Rifarla? » esclama Thiago col sorriso sulle labbra, « ogni secondo della mia giornata. Insomma, l’esperienza è stata meravigliosa. Traumatica? Certo, ma più costruttiva che altro. Rinuncerei volentieri al traumatico incontro col molliccio, però, lo ammetto… » 　　« Hai mai pensato, pure soltanto per qualche istante, di ritirarti? E, sempre rimanendo in tema, se il torneo dovesse avere una seconda edizione, a persone con quale spirito diresti con tutto il cuore “no, fra, leva mano, con ‘sta gemma facci un anello che è meglio”? » 　　Scoppia in una risata, l’espressione che si fa dubbiosa. « Che bella domanda. Non la consiglierei a chiunque, poco ma sicuro, ma allo stesso tempo… Non l’avrei consigliata nemmeno a me stesso all’inizio del Torneo. Tutto è partito come una riscatto, una sfida verso me stesso, ed è terminata nel migliore dei modi. Quindi chi sono io per scoraggiare chiunque volesse prendervi parte? » 　　« Mi sembra giusto riservare uno spazio pure alla figura che ti ha accompagnato nel modo più tecnico possibile durante questo percorso: Lake Llewelyn. Quanto è stata importante per te la sua vicinanza? Ma soprattutto, per noi che amiamo il gossip, quante volte ti sei chiuso nel buio del tuo baldacchino a manifestare un cambio mentore e perché? » 　　« Oh, odiavo Lake all’inizio » borbotta il Grifondoro. « Sarebbe capace d’impicciarsi in qualsiasi cosa e di portare allo stremo la persona più paziente del mondo. Posso farti una confidenza, però, Eden? Lake è stata veramente la mia ancora in questo torneo. Il suo talento e la sua empatia sono stati punti cruciali nei miei successi, specialmente nell’accettare che non sempre si può uscire vincitori. Aver conosciuto una persona del genere è, per me, la vera vittoria del Torneo. Se tornassi indietro non chiederei mentore migliore. » 　　« Persone pagate per farlo a parte, ce ne sono state altre che, pur non facendo parte del torneo, ti sono state accanto con convinzione durante tutti i mesi di durata? Se sì, che cosa vorresti dire loro in questo momento? » 　　Thiago stringe le labbra, le guanche si tingono di rosso. « Be’, che te lo dico a fare? » ridacchia imbarazzato. « Se non avessi avuto il mio ragazzo, Dane, non credo avrei mantenuto una stabilità mentale sufficiente ad arrivare in fondo. Purtroppo non è qui stasera 一 sai, lui è un pilota sulla via del successo 一 ma senza il suo supporto probabilmente mi sarei sentito troppo solo per procedere. I miei compagni di stanza, poi, sono stati delle vere e proprie… Gemme. Perdonami la battuta. I miei compagni d’avventura non sono da meno: solo per citarne alcuni, come Oliver, Theseus, Darnell, Beatrice, Casey e Roxanne. Dei veri e propri amici. Non importa se alcuni erano parte di un team diverso: durante il Torneo ho capito il vero significato di amicizia. » 　　« Il Torneo Quattrogemme è stato impostato sulla parola “quattro”, pur avendo poi cinque squadre partecipanti. Una mossa chiaramente volta a confondere le masse, che per stasera evitiamo di emulare. Ti chiedo, dunque: quattro task delle prove che ti hanno fatto pensare “grazie Merlino per avermi fatto decidere di iscrivermi”? » 　　« In primis il Grifone. Il sogno di una vita. Il Tuono Alato va al secondo posto, ne sono rimasto estasiato. Come scordare la salamandra? Anche se l’ho restituita, Passandra avrà per sempre un posto nel mio cuore. E in ultimo 一 sconvolgente, lo so 一 la lotta a corpo libero. Fortunatamente la prima è stata con Connor, quindi mi ha permesso di superare un mio limite con una persona fortemente capace di capire i miei stati d’animo. » 　　« Quattro insegnamenti o momenti divertenti che ti ha lasciato questa competizione? » 　　« Ragazzi! » esclama aprendo le braccia, « ho baciato Oliver Fletcher! » Una risata segue a quella prima risposta. « A parte scherzi… Direi che affrontare il Grandala del Botswana con Roxanne mi abbia realmente spiegato il lavoro di squadra. Non è stato da meno nemmeno l’enigma finale, ché la logica è, purtroppo da sempre, un mio punto debole. Ma ci tengo a ricordare anche un altro momento divertente: ho realmente urlato un “baby che fai?” a un drago che mi ha quasi ucciso. Si chiama “risposta al trauma”, secondo te? » 　　« Una risposta al trauma in grande stile, sicuramente! Quattro parole per descrivere il torneo? » 　　« Allenamento, esperienza, amicizia, conoscenza. » 　　« Quattro campioni che ritieni abbiano dato del filo da torcere a tutti? » 　　« Oliver al primo posto. È troppo forte in tutto ciò che fa, ed è stata una fonte d’ispirazione per me. Beatrice Ricci perché è, inevitabilmente, un portento di altruismo e intelligenza. Guardare la classe con cui Theodora Strain ha partecipato, poi, è stato un piacere per gli occhi. E Grace Jordan-Dursley, dal canto suo, ha portato alto il nome dei Tassorosso. » 　　« Siamo giunti alle battute finali e presto potrai tornare dai tuoi amici a far festa, giurin giurello. Perché dovrebbe vincere proprio la tua squadra? Desiderio di trionfo a parte, ovviamente. » 　　« La verità, Eden, è che non ho una risposta. So bene che abbiamo lavorato sodo, che abbiamo svolto una gara pulita e all’altezza delle nostre forze. Credo che ci meritiamo di vincere per il duro lavoro svolto, sia singolarmente che non, e… Be’, tutto qua. Che non è poco. » 　　« E se, con tutti i dovuti scongiuri » che per carineria esegue pure, con un bel paio di corna puntate verso il pavimento. « Non fosse il tuo team ad alzare la coppa, secondo te quale dovrebbe farlo e perché? » 　　Ride, scuotendo il capo. « Ti diverti a mettere zizzania, eh? » chiede scherzosamente. « Onestamente sono fortemente dibattuto. Amerei veder vincere i Serpeverde, ma i Corvonero sono stati oggettivamente eccezionali. Non dirlo in giro, ma credo proprio di tifare per loro… Come seconda scelta. » 　　« Grazie per aver parlato con noi, Thiago » il palmo alzato a mezz’aria lascia intendere l’invito a schiacciare con lei un cinque. « Buon continuo serata e dita sempre incrociate, mi raccomando! »

I already made Triffany and Wambus child a long time ago so i decided to draw Lizbert and Eggabell's and Snorpy and Chandlo's children too

It's so hard to figure it out and making into "Grumpus name sounding like" names.

I didn't draw a Child for Gramble and Wiggle and Filbo and Buddy bc I don't think they'd have (for Gramble and wiggle i think they'd rather have a pet first. And as for Filbo and Buddy, they'd babysit the kids probably hdhdhdhd)

CUCUMBERS

These summer salad stalwarts are easy to grow in any garden, and although some varieties require a greenhouse to crop well, “ridge” varieties are perfectly happy outside. These can be left to sprawl over the ground, or where space is limited, they can be trained up stout canes or trellises, making good use of vertical surfaces. Small-fruited “snacking” cucumbers are particularly productive and convenient, with fruit just large enough for a lunch box.

1. GETTING STARTED Cucumbers can be raised from seed, which is ideal if you want a large crop. They can also be bought as seedlings in spring, which may be a better choice if you only want a few plants. Cucumbers are productive, and depending on the variety, just two or three plants will be enough for most families all summer.

-Mini Munch is a heavycropping, “snackbox” variety. Fruits are harvested small.

-Passandra grows indoors and gives a large crop of small, single-serving fruits.

-Marketmore is reliable with good disease resistance and is suited to being grown outside.

-Crystal Apple bears a good crop of small, round, juicy fruits. It is easy to grow outside.

2. SOWING SEEDS Cucumber seeds should be started off under cover because plants are very sensitive to the cold and need a long growing season to fruit well. Hybrid seeds may be more expensive but they result in more vigorous, productive plants, so are worth the extra expense. Fill 10cm (4in) diameter pots with seed compost, water well and allow to drain. Sow one seed per pot, 2cm (3⁄4in) deep, water them lightly, and put them in a heated propagator to germinate.

-Cucumber seed can be expensive. Sow one seed per pot and keep them warm, 22-25°C (72–77°F), to encourage germination.

-Check the seed regularly until they germinate, which should take a week or two. Remove them from the propagator and grow them on indoors.

Note : Cucumbers require constantly high temperatures, so don’t sow too early.

3. PLANTING OUT Once they are large enough, plant cucumbers out in early summer – enrich the soil thoroughly in advance. Outdoor “ridge” varieties can be planted directly into the soil in a sunny spot and left to trail across the surface, or can be trained up canes. Greenhouse-types can be planted one per 30cm (12in) pot.

-Outdoor varieties should be hardened off for a few weeks before planting to acclimatize them to outdoor conditions.

-Insert canes to train plants upwards where space is limited. This also keeps the fruit clean and away from crawling pests.

-Containers are ideal for greenhouse crops but they can also be used outside. Allow the soil to warm up before planting.

4. POLLINATION Outdoor varieties have both male and female flowers; the latter must be pollinated to set fruit. Many modern greenhouse varieties are “all female” and must not be pollinated because they then produce bitter-tasting fruits. Grow these well away from varieties that produce male flowers.

-Female flowers have an embryonic fruit behind the petals. These must be pollinated unless the variety is “all female”. Check before you buy.

5. ROUTINE CARE Keep plants well watered, and apply tomato fertilizer regularly, as directed. Indoor plants thrive in high humidity, which you can achieve by watering the ground around the plants. This also helps to deter red spider mite and powdery mildew, which are both common.

-Swelling cucumbers become heavy, especially on mature plants with several fruits, so make sure the stems are attached to their supports.

6. HARVESTING As soon as individual fruits are large enough, cut them from the plants using secateurs. Cucumbers grow quickly and their quality declines if they are left too long on the plant. To enjoy them at their best, check plants daily and harvest them as soon as they are ready. The fruit can be stored in the fridge until needed. If you expect a glut, very young fruits can be harvested as gherkins and used for pickling.

-Some cucumbers are smooth-skinned, others have small prickles but both types taste just as good as each other.
