A grin tugged at Rick's lips at the compliment. Rose was a very recent acquaintance, but he had started to enjoy her company already. She was fun, danced like a pro and had an amazing singing voice. Not to mention that she was really attractive. She definitely fitted the bill of the kind of people he loved hanging out with after a concert, to ride the high of the stage and of the drugs.
"S-Shit, thanks. Y-You're not bad yourself," he snickered, gently bumping into her side. "An-And yeah, the extra practice have been r-real fuckin' fun with you there."
His movements were a little sloppy because of the alcohol in his system, but he couldn't have cared less. He had everything he could want for that night. Good music, great company and a drink in his hand.
"Oh, r-right, speaking of. I-I pitched the idea of letting you on stage w-with us to Pers and Squanchy," he went on, as the thought struck him. "T-They are a little skeptical, BP especially, b-but I'm sure I fan convince 'em."
His best friend wasn't exactly thrilled at the idea of letting one of his hopefully soon-to-be conquests join in on their gigs, but Rick was sure that he would change his mind once he would have heard Rose singing.

“Are you staying for dinner? I made lasagna.” (pearl for denki)

「 ☆ 」 ❝ Wait— You actually want me to stay longer? ❞ Denki doesn’t hide the surprise in his tone, words out before the can think once— let alone twice —about them. Not that Pearl has been anything but hospitable since he came over. But Denki figured she was being just that. Polite. Courteous towards the stranger in her home but not eager for him to stay any longer than deemed necessary. Denki had been doing his best to be a good friend and not drive Steven’s caregivers absolutely crazy. But he’s self-aware enough to know that, even when trying, he isn’t always successful. Hell, he wouldn’t have been shocked to be ushered out the door with some flimsy excuse for why they wish they could do this again but can’t.
Blinking dumbly at the woman, he’s quiet for a moment, giving Pearl a chance to correct herself and tell him that he’s actually supposed to leave. But when that doesn’t seem to be the case, he stammers out, ❝ I—If it’s not any trouble. I mean— I don’t... exactly have any dinner plans so, I can— ❞ Frankly, he doubts there’s dinner waiting for him at ALL. But there should be something salvageable in the fridge. His mother might not even be waiting for him. Not that it’d be too much of a loss. Denki prefers the nights when he doesn’t have to feel her eyes stuck on him. A sneer on her lips as she offhandedly mentions everything about him that reminds her of his bastard of a father. It’s not like the apartment is quiet without her either, plenty of creaks and leaks filling the air and keeping him company whenever he’s alone.
❝ Y-Yeah... Heh, Yeah! That sounds great! ❞ Denki finally replies, enthusiasm starting to show by the faint sparks crackling around the teen. Hair growing a bit fluffier with the faint rise of electricity in the air surrounding him, he eagerly clenches his fists in front of himself, ❝ I’d love to stay for dinner! Is there anything you need help with? I don’t mean to brag, but I’m pretty good at setting a table... ❞ He chuckles at his joking boast, a thumb jutted into his chest. 「 ☆ 」

"I'm honestly stumped. What do you think I should do?" partcfyouruniverse (yellow pearl)
“…I am not your Diamond!” she barked, “I am not anyone’s Diamond! You have all been liberated, so go. Make of your existence what you will.”
With a huff, Yellow ended the call. She scrolled through the backlog to find 2,000 more gems waiting on the line. She’d been pacing back and forth in her quarters for a week, not once removing her grasp from the Communicator. Although she liked to imagine that her form was pristine as usual, her color had subtly dulled and a few hairs were fraying out of her helmet-like crown. She was busy— but it had been many years since she was this busy.
The announcement of the new Era had left an endless array of wide-eyed elites, clawing at her in desperation. Sooner or later, she’d have to start ignoring the calls. Else, she was sure she’d fry half of Homeworld into oblivion.
Yellow spun on her heel towards a welcome voice; finally, someone who wouldn't demand anything of her.
“Pearl— thank the stars you’re—“
Her face fell, almost immediately. “No.” She simply stared at the Pearl, an odd, vulnerable feeling welling inside of her that she couldn’t suppress. “I—I don’t know. But you shouldn’t be here.”

UNPROMPTED ASKS - Always Accepting!
The Diamond was silent. It had only been a short amount of time after finding Pink shattered, being the firestarter to this whole "rebellion" phase that their kind was enduring. Gems were turning against one another, and Pink's colony had become a warzone. All Blue could do was grieve, unable to control her power to overrule her room and entire Court outside, which had been grieving with her.
"...nothing. There is... nothing you can do right now, Pearl," she spoke, voice cracking from her tears. "I... I feel so terribly lost. What... What is there that I can do? She is... gone. For good. I have only her... her shards, and..."
Blue couldn't speak. All she could do was weep with her head in her hands, having Pink's shards next to her in a small jar, desperate to try and restore her form. Nothing. Nothing was working. She was gone.

That was a heavier question than it seemed on the surface, at least to Rose. They had been so concerned with just surviving the war, then recovering any shattered gems and cleaning up the destruction caused. But now it was finally time to perhaps allow themselves to move on to less serious things, if just for a while.
“Anything we want.” Rose said with a smile. After all, wasn’t that the point?

Oh right, she probably should have told Blue about Petal after having met the latter. Somehow doing that completely slipped her mind, but well she could do it now “She is!”
“I don’t know how much you were told by your Diamond, but as it turns out she was just given to an Agate and not shattered.” While she wanted to tell Blue more like how Petal had been abused it didn’t feel like her place to do so. This was very personal for the pink gem so she should get to chose if and what she tells Blue when they meet.

Rick made a show of rolling his eyes at Pearl's words, crossing his arms over his chest as he leant against the wall. He had been supposed to meet up with Rose, but apparently she had been delayed for some reason and she had had the not brilliant idea to send her annoying groupie to warn him.
If he had known that wooing his way into the Gem's arm would have meant putting up with all that nagging, maybe he would have pondered his choice a bit longer before making up his mind. Oh, Rose was great and even his two pals liked her, but at times he wondered if having to deal with Pearl's vexing jealousy was worth it.
"S-So what? W-We're just hooking up, i-it's not like I'm planning to marry her or-or shit," he scoffed in a bored tone. Was she really going to remain there and bother him until Rose had joined them? "S-She knows and I know. N-Not that it's your business anyway. I-I don't get why you keep bringing this shit up. I-If you have a problem with me, w-with us...Well, t-that's your problem. I-I don't give a damn."

I have one in particular.
Sometime after Steven met Petal, he persuaded a conversation out of her. Poking and prodding led him to gathering a bit of information about Petal, and that information was simply this: Petal loved heavy metal.
This threw Steven off. Pearls were so elegant. Their musical tastes usually followed suit. But Petal was different. She was rigid and rough, with a tough as nails exterior. And her musical tastes seemed to follow.
This led Steven to inquire more. Had she ever been to a metal show? When she sang, did she sing heavy metal? Was her metal band called Petal Metal? Because if it wasn’t, she missed out on a golden opportunity, he felt.
He knew what metal was, though the first and only exposure he ever had was when his dad mistakenly put a burned metal CD into the CD player of his van after Steven had told him about being kidnapped by Jasper and Peridot.
Honestly, metal wasn’t something Steven had a particular taste for. Maybe it was thanks to that one experience as he watched his own father hyperventilate over all the trouble his son had gotten into. But Steven was older now.
That meant getting a new perspective on things. He met a Pearl named Petal who loved metal, and by gosh, he was going to experience metal with Petal! Thus, Steven asked her about going to a show.
That’s right, Steven Universe experienced his first (and so far only) heavy metal concert with Petal. Petal introduced Steven to metal and mosh pits. And at first, it was a terrifying experience. People thrashed into each other, drank heavily, made some not-so-great choices, and seemed really, really angry. He was scared, but...
Petal took Steven’s hand, however, and helped open his eyes to the culture. When someone fell in a mosh pit, the pit stopped moshing. The music was loud and angry, but meaningful to so many people in the audience. It was a culture all its own, and the more he saw Petal’s love for it shine through, the more he began to understand it.
By the end of the show, Steven was even headbanging with the rest of them. And as they walked out of the show, he asked Petal if she could find him a cool jacket like hers.

Now this is more like it! A Pearl that isn’t trying to smother him or shouting for him to be careful all the damn time. Steven had mentioned on more than one occasion that Pearl was a fighter; had been part of a rebellion once. Noel hadn’t seen it in the slightest.
Rascal is eager to join Noel, shifting to his staff form and landing in the teenager’s hand. He spins said staff from hand to hand with many years of experience, and takes a stance. “All right then. Let’s see what you’ve got.”
