I am not entirely sure why I made this. A history of the logos from all the releases from the Baldur's Gate series, collected and assembled from various box and promotional art, and then mostly traced.

If nothing else it made me realise some funky things about the designs, like how you can tell that SOD and BG3 are more recent releases by their logos alone, considering the emphasis on black. Or how weirdly BG3 stands out since it doesn't have a subtitle and the main logo part includes the title and number.

I think it’s easy to underestimate the enormity of Beatrice’s decision to try and place the crown on Ava.

It happens in a flash, it’s followed by The Kiss (which is everything). I think some viewers might even have missed she was holding the crown at all.

And so much happens and events spiral so quickly, it’s easy to forget where in the story Beatrice stands at this point.

Beatrice does not know the specifics of Adriel’s plan. At this point in the story, the OCS’ best guess is Adriel will use the portal to bring through unlimited wraith demons.

That’s the stakes for them: complete the mission or face a full on demon apocalypse. It’s literally “do this or the world ends.”

And Beatrice has lost so much. She’s lost Shannon just months ago, she’s lost Mary, Vincent betrayed them, to all appearances they’ve lost Lilith to Adriel for good. More of her closest family have died or abandoned her than not.

What more could the universe take from her?

And then the universe points at Ava and says “that one.”

You know those few months you got to spend away from the thick of battle? The short breath of time where you tasted life? Where you fell in love? Where you let yourself believe that — just maybe — happiness was possible? I want that. I want the person at the center of that, I want the one who gave you that.

Beatrice says no.

Putting the crown on Ava is not a discussion. It’s not a reassessment of the plan. It’s putting her unconscious to get her out. It’s aborting the mission.

The mission to save the world, where failure means wraith demons everywhere and most likely a literal apocalypse, and Beatrice says “No.”

Not if the cost is her.

Because how just is a world that keeps demanding this kind of suffering and sacrifice? There has to be another way for the world, because if there isn’t, she will not save it.

Not at this cost.

oughhgrhghh the agony of decision making wether to keep it for the full post or nooooooo,,, oh fuck it here u go

not as content-full as my more recent noodle pages, but ah well. the idea behind this whole thing was actually revisiting my old design ideas from two years ago n see what i can do with them with my current skillset!

the inspiration behind the arm is people bitchin (/lh) in the tag about how there's too much importance put on the puppets in the fandom while mostly ignoring the rest of the superstructure (maybe even demonizing it??? idk. it's kinda valid. some Iterators themselves demonize their structures- oh wow isn't that a fun string of words). i do sorta agree but also like. u do what makes this whole thing fun for you, yanno

other ideas i had when pondering how to make the puppets more puppet-like:

as for the finalized hand design, idk! the idea was that the cables are the hard connection (+ the arm can find the puppet after letting it go, i like to think the only way for the Iterator to see is either thru the overseers or its puppet's eyes) and the fingerpads are softer connection that kind of Finalizes the whole sync by letting the Iterator project their consciousness into the thing fully

So I have been recently using a combination of SAI 2 and CSP EX for my drawings nowadays so I figured it would be time to update my preferences and post them on here for the yall to see and use too :3

For my CSP brushes I tend to use these ones which you can find for free on their asset shop. I use ALOT of other brushes in CSP but they are also mainly free ones.
