i thought ciel was actually holding a white rose covered in red to look like a red rose, & not just Actually A Red Rose, which would make the sensual connotation even More interesting bc a white rose symbolizes purity (as well as loyalty! which fits sebastian and ciel, w ciel also feeling loyal to sebastian just as his butler is to him. also white roses are often used at weddings and romantic occasions) yet its being dyed in the color of passion... but alas, i was just so excited at seeing the art that i didnt look close enough to see that it's a White Teacup underneath the red rose, not white petals behind red.

update i checked the blog of the 1 person (at the time) who'd rbed the edit i made & it's not on their blog anymore it truly did just get thanos snapped what... typically deleted posts still show up as rbs at least. like how delete art posts can still circulate despite being gone
