LoZ - Yiga!Link is a Riot

I gotta say that the concept of Yiga!Link is effing hilarious. Especially if it's Zelink.

Because, think about it.

In this situation, Ganon has literally everything lined up perfectly. Link, his eons-long, multi-life arch-nemesis is essentially his minion & he likely doesn't even know it.

Kid's probably deep into the sauce too, man.

Then, either along comes this pretty little princess & he's like, "yeah, sorry bro, but I'm gettin' me some of that." Maybe he was kidnapped as a baby & Link & Zelda met previously as kids? Maybe she did something for him that he'd never forgotten, then when they remeet, she does something for him that seals a huge crush on her, & thus can't bring himself to kill her? I dunno, there's a lot of ways this could go. OR, he learns personally that he's the Chosen Hero, the very person he's supposed to despise & kill. Meaning that if the other members learn about it, they'll likely kill him. His whole life comes crashing down around him. The first blow to the cult's programming.

Like, it'd just be such a power move on destiny's part.

Like, as dangerous as Ganon obviously is, he simply does not win for very long. He always looses eventually.

And this would just cement that fact. Like, he had his effing arch-nemesis in the palm of his fucking hand & didn't even know it & he'll still fucking lose.

I dunno about you, but I'd be pretty damn demoralized after that.

I might just need the next 10,000 years dead before my next reincarnation to mentally recover.

At the same time, it does make me wonder. Why do non-Sheikah Yiga stick with them? Like, we know the reason why the Yiga was originally formed. A Hylian King from 10,000 years ago forced the Sheikah to decommission their technology, fearing it'd bring about Hyrule's demise. (Which, despite how unfair it was, he was... actually right. Makes me wonder if he actually learned that the Sheikah Tech could be taken over. Maybe he'd been an accomplished mage & had managed to use his magic to take control of the machines, then realizing that he likely wouldn't be around for the next Calamity, he ordered the Sheikah to find a way to prevent the machines from being possessed by magic. But no matter what they did, they couldn't manage to figure it out, or maybe they did for a while, but the king kept testing them to make sure it was fixed. However, much like hacking in real life, there will always be new ways to exploit the system, thus the king was left with no choice but to decommission them.)

But, anyway, what exactly do they tell their members to get them to want to stay? Hell, why were they even still a thing in BotW? Why hadn't they made their move? There were no more guards, or soldiers, only a few trained Sheikah, all of which were either too old to keep fighting or were swiftly getting there, & there'd been no royal family besides Zelda, who was keeping Calamity Ganon sealed away.

Why didn't they take over the rest of Hyrule, asserting their dominance & killing all the loyalists so that when the Hero returned, he'd be an outlaw, thus making his journey harder? (It certainly wouldn't have been the first time something like that would've happened in the series.) In fact, why reveal themselves to him when they meet? Just wait till his back is turned, then Eightfold Blade him in the back! Or have a Yiga replace the Sheikah & Hylian innkeepers/Stable Managers, then when Link rents a bed for the night, give him a poisoned complementary meal! Then, when he collapses, just execute him!

It's that easy! Or it should be, because they're effing ninja!

I mean, they were perfectly fine with killing Dorian's wife, who Dorian had been a member of the Yiga before, thus they've no issue with the act of killing.

Which, btw, why didn't they instead kidnap her, maybe even his daughters too, & use them as blackmail to keep him under their thumb?

LEGEND OF ZELDA: SHATTERED STARS

The Triforce is lost, the Ocarina is shattered, and for untold millennia the holy cycle of Hero, Goddess, and Beast has remained stagnant. We have forsaken our birth-world of ancient Hyrule, and the eternal war between the Church of Hylia and the armies of Demise has spread bloated and carnivorous to the very stars. Blink-ships of the Great Sages and agents of the Gerudo Sisterhood comb world after world, fulfilling their centennial mission to find their reincarnated leaders and groom them for a life as figureheads in a war with no victor.

But now, for what may be the first time in the recorded history of our wizened cosmos, the winds of change blow through the aether and rattle the foundations of a ruinous system. The newest reincarnation of the Beast has escaped his Gerudo handlers, and the Hero and Goddess have evaded discovery for twenty years now. Rumors grow of the Red Lion- a lone ship crewed by a smuggler named Link, a warrior-cyborg named Zelda, and a mutant technomancer who is reticent to use the name of Ganon.

Have the fates spun a new tale? Have the reincarnated three found each other anew, free from the machinations of the Church or the Sisterhood? And if they have, what are three outlaws against all the horrors of this dark future- a future which has known only war?

This is a entry for @zelinktines24 event day 20: Diary. I was going to use Zelda’s Diary from Breath of the Wild, but I realized that it would be unoriginal, so I made a diary of Link and Zelda learning of the struggle of past heroes which Zelda write down.

HYRULE DAY 2/19....

‘Bit by bit, I’ve gotten Link to open up to me, and he tell me why he so quiet when he was a bit of a chatterbox in her youth. Since he pull the sword out when he was twelve years old and the ceremony in the castle that was hold in his honor, Link was put through training to be at his peak and he was discouraged in seeing his destiny as a soft of childish game, and he couldn’t make any friends among the knights, whose look at him with envy, not respect or kindness as he thought he would have just like the heroes of the past. It could be those knights wanted to be the one with the glory of being the hero and be praise by all of Hyrule. On some nights, Link would hear a voice in his sleep that he thought he was thinking up because of his stress as it sound like a woman voice, maybe his own mother, trying to comfort him that the heroes went through things similar to what he going through. Our talk about the sword made Link realized that the voice he has been hearing is the sword itself. In the meantime, Link feels it necessary to be silent and never show any emotion and I realized that he was cursed with the burden of saving Hyrule just like I have. I always believed him to be simply a gifted person who had never faced a day of hardship, but I realized how wrong I was and I put his childish anger out at him, which end up making things wrong for Link’s mindset as it made him wonder why most of Hyrule Knights and princess hate him.’

‘Link told me of what the sword told him about its, or rather her, past masters and their struggles, which the legends didn’t show. The sword first master struggles with Hylia putting her faith on him and a childhood friend he loved to defeat a powerful demon king when he was a newly graduated knight. The Hero of Time, one of the most famous hero in Hyrule legends, lost a father figure when he was nine years old and accidentally open a door to great power to a king of evil, brining a decade of darkness to Hyrule until he come to save it, but he was mentally scar for the horrors that the king of evil did on Hyrule. The successors of the Hero of Time, the Hero of the Wind and the Hero of Twilight, worry about being the legend that he was while they only started their quest to rescue a younger sibling whose was taken from them by monsters, and a woman they loved risk their life to help save him from the king of evil, whose first see them as weak copies of the Hero of Time. A hero saved the princess of his era from a corrupted noble whose made him a outlaw in Hyrule, which made his quest to stop the evil noble harder and give him some self doubt about other people that he left Hyrule after his quest. A hero whose raise in the aftermath of the Imprisoning War struggles with his destiny and his growing feelings for Princess Zelda as they bond over the lost of their parents. Even the hero whose fought Calamity Ganon centuries ago with the Guardians that are being unearthed now struggles with the demons of the king to make him and his daughter, the Princess Zelda of that time, read to face Ganon. It was thanks to the Guardians and the champions at that era which allow both the hero and Princess Zelda to seal Calamity Ganon away, but I wonder if history is going to repeat itself when our battle against Calamity Ganon come.’

‘Anyway, I was so absorbed with my own problems that I failed to see his problems. I start to feel a soul similar to mine, one whose was rob of a childhood just so Hyrule would have a figure to defend itself. I wish for us to share our demons more, and maybe we will have a happy ending when all of this is over with.’

Grief

There is a Zelink story below the cut. TW. CW. I'm very very serious. I am incredibly upset by the news from the US today.

I hope everyone who reads this is upset by the new reality facing people living in the United States. I wrote this story to help me cope with my upset and worst fears. The ruling today devastates both people who do and do not wish for a child.

Author's Note:

I am facing the reality that while I wish for a child, I may need to choose between receiving proper medical care for the dangerous medical condition of pregnancy and staying in my home state. This ruling makes it dangerous to carry a wanted child. This ruling is dangerous for people who do and do not wish for a child. It is bad for both pro-choice and pro-life people. Attempting to conceive does not mean you are waiving your right to life-saving medical treatment. My home state is outlawing medications used to assist people experiencing a miscarriage.

This is a terrible time for everyone and it's about more than the absolute human right to their own bodies although that should be enough on its own. This is about letting women die of sepsis in a miscarriage. This is about the death of a woman who cannot carry her abuser's child to term. This is about a person who isn't ready and this is about a person who will never be ready. This is about loss and heartbreak and autonomy. This is about all of us.

Grief

Link couldn’t help but pace. He was barred from the house he shared with Zelda as she went through the worst moments of their lives. Ganon had nothing on this. Losing their friends was a dull memory in comparison. Every shriek from her jolted his insides and every long silence froze them. He resisted the urge to climb up the walls and find the misaligned board that let him view in just enough to see the midwife, but not enough to see Zelda.

It had happened so suddenly. They were lounging in the garden that Zelda had planted. She was telling him about the wintery herbs that she was certain she could cultivate in the too-warm Hateno air with a special soil mixture. He was so content with her voice prattling in his ears and the warm sun of her smile. They had been married for little more than 6 months and she was only two months along. Zelda thought it was a boy and Link knew better than to disagree with an expecting mother, but secretly he hoped for a girl as beautiful and daring and intelligent as his wife. This child would be cherished by their parents and would take the world by storm.

Except they wouldn’t. Zelda had frowned. Her pointing hand fell to her belly where the child hadn’t even begun to make itself known yet. She swayed a little in place where she sat before slumping down. 

“Link,” she had said in a rough, terrified voice, “Fetch the midwife.”

He had never run so fast. Leaving her was heart-wrenching, but defying her orders was blasphemy. The woman brought her herbs, but also a little pack that chinked with metal. They got Zelda settled into their bed when the woman kicked him out. He wasn’t sure why. Something about hysteria and unsettling the patient. 

So now he waited. It was obviously bad news. Zelda’s shouts were one part physical pain and one part grief. All he could hope for was Zelda’s health to recover. That one day they would be able to try again when their grief wasn’t new and raw.

Another long silence froze his heart. It lasted longer this time. The midwife called his name. 

“Link! Come in here.”

Link didn’t rush as quickly as he could this time. He stepped to the door with trepidation. He took a great breath to steel his nerves and reflected that courage was supposed to come easily to him. He opened the door, slowly ascended the stairs, and saw Zelda with her eyes closed and a wet brow. And a rising and falling chest. 

Zelda had lived through the procedure, although there was a mess around the bed and it looked like the midwife was crying too. She bundled up all her materials and hid them from his gaze. 

“My condolences. Zelda will be well again, but she will need care. The herbs she will require are on the desk.” She kept the bundle close and slipped down the stairs and out the door. 

Zelda looked pale and fragile. She was always larger than life and in motion so Link occasionally forgot that she was an exceptionally small and slight Hylian. But it was obvious now that she was small and in pain. Her tears spilled past closed eyes as if she couldn’t hold them back. 

Link slipped into the bed next to her and gently wiped the tears from her cheek before placing a kiss. There was nothing to say. They would grieve together and he would care for her as they had done before. Except, this time it wasn’t for their friends and Zelda wasn’t just tired from a fight.

If I were the king of Hyrule, I would simply outlaw the name Link, thereby ending the cycle of reincarnation that allows Ganon to continue to return

Wolfie is what inspired the creation of the divine beasts. How do you think that went down?

Did he see the blueprints and start aggressively barking because he knows this backfires in the future? Did he warn that the next time the technology was going to be hijacked by Ganon and that's why the king outlawed it? Was he a nuisance when the divine beasts were dug up?

When he saw the 10,000 hero what do you think he thought? "Hey! You're not Wild! Damn it! Why'd he have to be from so far in the future?"

The Hero, after Ganon is sealed: "Your purpose is fulfilled, o great spirit. You may rest now."

Wolfie: "Screw you, not Wild. I'm not resting until I see my amnesic hermit again."

AHH the Yiga hideout is fascinating! Clearly it was an ancient Gerudo temple before the Yiga occupied it and added Sheikah trimmings. How interesting that some of the Yiga motifs echo ancient Sheikah patterns--the organic curves and whorls found throughout ancient Sheikah technology--likely a reminder of their lost culture and capability outlawed by the Hylian Royal Family so long ago, that drove them to become a splinter faction.

How the Yiga choose to live on the edge of an inhospitable desert, within a crimson sandstone valley, inside an ancient Gerudo structure, is so interesting. Not having played Age of Calamity (yet), as I understand it, the Yiga look to Calamity Ganon almost as though it were some sort of dark god, but do they also know about Ganon's Gerudo origins? Did they set up their base of operations in his homeland as a way to connect and better understand the entity they chose to follow?

The newest Link sighed, holding his knife as he helped Rune cook some food. He looked around at all the Links, from heroes of the past like Genesis and Ocarina and Mask, to those of alternate timelines like Lich, Doomguy, and Wiz. He tried to smile, he tried to be happy... but he couldn't. Today was the anniversary of his village's burning, the day he lost his parents and sister at a very young age... He looked at Rune. "I'm sorry, I need some air." He muttered, before setting off into the night. He soon came across a clearing, sighing as he sat down with his steak and biscuits and ate. He opened a bottle of ale, sipping at it after pouring some out for his family. "Mind if I sit here?" a voice said, as Gen sat next to the outlaw. "Seemed like you were walking off in a bit of a upset. I wanted to help." He sighed. "Naw, just.... remembering." "Oh?" Gen looked at him, nodding. "Mind telling me?" "... Today's the anniversary of when Ganon's men burned my village to the ground." He muttered, looking down. "I wanted to pour one out for my family. A tradition, since visiting their graves would put me too close to the capital."

Gen did know of the other's life as an outlaw, he had told all of them, but he still winced. "I'm sorry... how long has it been?" "9 years on the dot. Usually I'd go raid a nearby base or fort, but... tonight, I just wanna rest." Gen put a hand on Outlaw's shoulder, nodding. "You know that we're your family too, right?" Outlaw smiled at his brother-through-time. "Yeah, I do." He got back up. "C'mon, let's go see the others, yeah?" Gen nodded, as the two of them headed back to their camp.

Link’s design process until now was an nightmare and I have no idea where half of his initial sketches are but I still have some!

None of the designs are still really finished and I’m working on backgrounds and other characters too!

Also I have no idea what to name this au, so if anyone has any ideas I’m all ears :)

Okay im just going to make my own post about this because this bugs the hell out of me

Look i get that botw kind of brought a lot of new people to loz and i think thats great, if botw is the only zelda game you’ve ever played and you loved it thats valid, its an amazing game. But im getting tired of people acting like botw zelda is the only zelda with a compelling personality or backstory because you’re either forgetting entire games?? Or throwing games you never played under the bus to make botw seem like the most indisputably superior zelda game possible? (It isn’t. Its very good but it still has flaws.)

People are like “every other Zelda is lame and boring and is just a pretty wizard with a crown 🙄 but THIS Zelda! She has ANXIETY!”

I get that botw Zelda is arguably one of the more vulnerable and relatable Zeldas, or even the most tragic, but it’s not like this is the first game to humanize Zelda or give her a unique backstory and personality? She’s not even the first Zelda to technically “fail” and then have to work overtime to damage control a situation she “failed” to prevent. OOT Zelda KNEW Ganon was going to kill everyone and fuck up Hyrule and NO ONE BELIEVED HER, so her idiot father just let him take over and reduce Hyrule to a miserable hellscape full of ZOMBIES. She had to go in to hiding for ten years, in which she of course patiently waited for Link to save her like the boring pre-botw princess she was :/ PSYCHE SHE STUDIED THE BLADE AND BECAME A SHEIKAH WARRIOR (and there was no reason she had to pose as a boy to do that because there are loads of female sheikah warriors so arguably a transmasc/nb icon.) Then she sent Da Linky back in time and just resigned herself to rebuild Hyrule by herself in the fucked up hell timeline he left behind?? That’s fucking sad bro she did that. She rebuilt Hyrule and didn’t even have Link to help her. And it’s not like he ditched her she did that to give him back his childhood because she’s a good friend.

Okay, I hear you say, well she was still wasn’t humanized because she is presented as an all powerful mysterious high-priestess type figure. Okay fair enough, you want a relatable Zelda? How about Tetra?? The daughter of a pirate queen, orphaned at a young age, who is an outlaw with a heart of gold, vaguely aware that she has some spooky bloodline shit going on but has no idea she’s a princess OR has magic powers, and has to live up to her mother’s reputation and lead a crew even though she’s way too young? And she struggles to make decisions that befit both a pirate captain and her own innate sense of altruism? I cannot believe the way people sleep on Tetra bro she was so fucking cool. Honestly there are more examples I can think of but I need to go to bed. I didn’t even get to Twilight Princess. OR Skyward Sword Zelda, notable because it was the game where they established “Zelda doesn’t need Link any more than he needs her, they are two sides of a coin that work together rather than a hero and a human mcguffin” as a real lore point and made it the rule rather than the exception. (Although most recent games by this point where working from that angle)

So let me close with this:

Reasons BOTW Zelda is unique among other Zeldas and very cool and awesome:

Has an interesting backstory & humanized personality without it in some way revolving around her pretending not to be/not knowing she is a princess (this isn’t really a plus but it isn’t a drawback, its just Different and therefore unique.)

Technically never gets kidnapped, and is trapped because of a decision SHE made when she was ready, to fight back (even though she really didn’t have any other options it still gives her more agency and agency is good)

Her story actually deals with the pressure of being both a political and religious figure, and the stress and trauma that comes with the “chosen one” narrative, especially when you don’t feel like you fit the mold/struggle to conform.

She is a nature nerd and i love her

Reasons BOTW Zelda is NOT objectively better than other Zeldas:

She is the only one with a personality (this is a lie)

She is the only one with agency (also a lie)

She is the only one who is relatable or likeable (biggest lie of 2021)

BOTW is the only Zelda game to switch up the formula or format of the series or make any progressive changes to the story i know we all know this is horseshit but sometimes ppl really make me wonder if they know other games occurred between Breath Of The Wild and Link To The Past.

Harp (Ocarina of Time/Majora’s Mask): - post-ocarina so basically she’s in the adult timeline but seven years older than she were when we last saw her at the end of oot - big mom friend,,,,,,,,,,,, tall and Motherly will adopt every child - she can and will slice a bitch if she needs to dont cross her - her scars were from the 7 years where she hid as Sheik while Time took himself a nice little nap - after sending Time back to his childhood she’s just been working to rebuild her kingdom and is now Queen - like i said on the Links one, headcanon that she’s Time’s twin sister - nothing much to say about her design it’s pretty much the same asdfghj

Plume (Skyward Sword): - still rowdy. still bapey - can and will push you off a cliff - really loves her animals and insists her remlit’s a sweetheart despite what Sky may tell her - really sweet and understanding about Sky and his napping but will still Suplex A Bitch if he’s being an ass - after what happened in skyward sword she’s in the lead of getting the settlement on the surface up and running - changed her outfit a bit to one more inspired by one of her concept designs but it’s kinda hard to see anything but a white shirt in this image asdfghj - a few scrapes and scratches from tumbling around on the surface, nothing too serious though

Dawn (Twilight Princess): - Stoic and Quiet - i’ve had Twi for five minutes, but if anything were to happen to him i would kill everyone in this room and then myself - cares a whole lot about her kingdom and will do just about anything for her people- has been working to rebuild her kingdom too but like there isn’t much to fix anyway so i guess she gets off easy - again, same design as usual aaaaand no real noteworthy scars she’s smart enough not to get killed unlike everyone else

Hope (Breath of the Wild): - NERD ALERT - spends most of her time documenting and rambling - what do you mean shes gotta rule her country she’s found a cool frog she’s gotta take pictures of!!!! - can actually remember her friends and misses them a whole lot :( - HOO GIRL YOU’VE GOT......... A WHOLE LOT TO REBUILD..... WHEW - kept her design mostly as is and gave her the green eyes because nINTENDO ARE SO INCONSISTENT WITH HER EYE COLOUR IS2G - got in a few scrapes after sAVING WILD’S DYING ASS so that’s where the scars are from

Rapier (Hyrule Warriors): - the cool but wildly irresponsible mom - *gives a whole sword to small child* hell yeah kid go fuck those bitches up - also filthy rich even compared to the other Zeldas like look at that ridiculous amount of gold and silver armour it’s not even gonna protect her dumb ass - can absolutely destroy you if she chooses to do so - has a lot of scars because sOMEONE doesn’t know how to gear up properly - knows sign language so that she can communicate with Her Boy 

Canvas (A Link Between Worlds): - the biggest sweetheart you’ll ever meet...... like oh my god bapey............ - Big Fan Of Art - has a whole museum of paintings in her castle - is 100% convinced that Albi is Deceased :( spent a lot of resources to find him but kinda gave up on it after a year or two  - the lighter patch on her face is the ‘splash’ mark from being turned into a painting which also caused the color in her eyes to change - she actually used to have green eyes

Pebble (The Minish Cap): - OOOO BABEY.......... TODDLER - still really close to Minish they always hang out - Dramatic Little Shit - absolutely a sheltered kid there’s no way Daltus didn’t get a million times more protective of her after she got pETRIFIED??? - despite being completely baby she still manages to be taller than her Link lmao eat shit Minish - the feathers are supposed to resemble Picori feathers, no idea if they are real or not

Ghost (Spirit Tracks): - FUCKING DIES ASDFGHGFGHJ - super energetic and sweet - got all of Tetras attitude but none of the smarts. absolute Buffoon - might be out of mortal danger but still gets in trouble all the damn time - barely has any scars because ghosts don’t get injuries but she does have a big burn/lightning like scar on her chest/stomach from having her sOUL RIPPED OUT OF HER BODY - redesigned the dress a bit so she’d look different from Pebble - also the ribbon in her hair is supposed to be a Tetra’s old bandana!! she got it as a gift from her when she was still Very Small

Tetra (The Wind Waker): - Fuck Yeah Pirate Time - completely Rowdy. Will Stab a Bitch - is more like a robin hood type of outlaw she only steals from Corrupt Rich Asshats like a good pirate should - swears WAY too much. Horrible Influence on Children - is missing like half on her left leg, probably lost it to like a gyorg or some shit - scars are from various battles with other pirates, bokoblins, birds, etc. - busy finding a New Continent

Crystal (A Link To The Past): - tired............... needs a break - Just Wants Link To Stop Dying And Come Back Here For Once!!!!!!! dumbass - real quiet but real calculated - Reads Minds and Talks Inside Peoples Heads - real fond of gardening her own herbs and vegetables  -listen i KNOW they’re like her pajamas or some shit but the blue dress just suits her better!!!! also Canvas doesn’t have any alternate costumes soooo

Ribbon (The Legend of Zelda): - ROUND!!!! CHUMBY!!!!!!!!!! - very sweet and very bubbly - will absolutely hug you to death and there’s nothing you can do about it - rebuilt an entire kingdom because uhh that thing kinda fell apart a couple hundred years after ALBW - doesn’t have any scars because she just kinda sat around while Ganon and Link were having a bit of an argument - i changed her dress to be green because of her in game sprite

Dreamer (The Adventure of Link): - HEY GUYS DID YOU KNOW THAT CLASSIC SAVES TWO ZELDAS??? BECAUSE I DIDN’T REALIZE UNTIL NOW - THIS BITCH CAME BEFORE PEBBLE.......... A sequel to my story, LoZ: Hyrule Heroes, involving Link and Malon's kids, Lyn and Mel, trying to rescue Zeldas sonn Prince Scott, from a ressurrected Vaati and Zant from TP. Along their journey, they travel with a young Rito girl named Sarah, Erma, (the witch from the first story), the desperate Midna who's trying to reclaim her throne, and Flynn's pup, Zeke. A side-plot in the story would be Link and his companions from the first story protecting Hyrule Castle, and Zelda, from Zant and Vaatis incoming forces. 2. A harem crossover, Dragonball Z and Chrono Trigger, involving an OC, Ayla, Maron, (Krillins Ex, not his daughter), Launch, and a few other single women in these universes. The plot I've thought of so far is a young man from the future who ends up travelling through time, and thus, meets the many hot women who fall in love with him. 3. AvP, a female predator named Tia'ra and a male human named Max are trapped on a prison planet with many other humans and aliens. As they try to find a way to escape, as well as fall in love, they meet a Xenomorph whose been experimented on and given human speech and thought, a little girl whose been wrongfully taken there, a woman and her pet Xenomorph, (note, this is my character Violet and Xander from my story, the Android and The Mutant), and a male cyborg, the group find out about a plot that threatens to destroy the universe. 4. OFF, Batter x Queen AU. The Judge sends a regretful Batter to a time before Hugo lead his world to ruin, and thus, starts to form a relationship with the Queen. 5. A continuation of my story, UnderFell Mob. In this, Frisk is now an adult, working with her monster family to maintain peace. Soon, a new menace rears its head to threaten Frisk and those she cares about. 6. Godzilla Apocalypse Story involving OCs, humans and monsters from Godzilla, Gamera, Mothra and King Kong movies. When the world is turned into a wasteland, it's up to a small group of humans to try and create peace between the monsters and themselves. When Ling Ghidorah threatens the last of humanity, it may be up to a certain radioactive creature to maintain peace. 7. Invader Zim X Gaz AU, if this one wins, or if I ever decide to do it in the future, I might do another poll on where you'd want the setting for this AU to be. 8. Tom, Toonamis glorious host, is sent on a Sci-Fi adventure that will have him meet several faces. And they're all his own! (Basically, our current Tom ends up stranded on a desert planet with a new larger, more mobile version of SARA, Georgia the worm, and Clyde 56s, and they end up finding the factory that built Tom, and in doing so, they find the previous models of Tom, but discover that they have their own personalities!) 9. An OC ends up on a cosmic adventure with Quenn Tyr'ahnee, (aka: The Martian Queen on Duck Dodgers). On their journey, the two fall in love as they are chased down by a group of space pirates, (who may or may not look like classic Looney Tunes villains). 10. Years into the future, the Teen Titans, (comic versions mostly), are now lead by a new generation. The son of Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle, the daughter of Dick Grayson and Starfire, the daughter of Raven and Garfield Logan, an ageing Victor Stone, the grandson of Slade Wilson, and an orphaned monster find themsleves coming together to carry on the legacy of the Titans before them... 11. A crossover between Super Mario Odyssey, and Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. In the story, set in an AU, A weakened Ganon creates a spell that merges his world with the one housing a certain Italian plumber. When he forms a shakey alliance with Bowser, it's up to 2 heroes to save the day. A plumber with his talking cap, and the Hero with the sword that seals the darkness must save their world's from the Koopa King, and the Demon Lord... 12. Who loves Smash Bros? I Do! So I thoight, why not make it into an actual story? Keep In mind, due to so many characters In the games, and several games at that, I made it a more simple plot by making my own that's loosely based on the first game. I will have various characters from certain games In it though. Some as heroes, some as villains, and some as side characters. In my story, a dimensional rift created by Master Hand brings various worlds together. This includes the Mario Bros, Sonic the Hedgehog, Link, Fox Mccloud, Samus Aron, Solid Snake, Megaman, Kirby, Red and his pokemon, Ness, Lucas, Donkey Kong, Pit, (aka Kid Iccarus), and Captain Falcon. Characters such as Bayonetta, Lucas, Banjo Kazooie, various Princesses, the Wario Bros, (Yes, I'm putting Waluigi in there), will be forced to hold up together while our heroes work to stop Master Hand and his minions. 13. Mad Marvel. A Mad Max style universe involving various Marvel characters. For my main leads, Spiderman with his Karen AI, She-Hulk, (note that I'm toying with the idea of Spider-Man and she hulk as a couple for this story) Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Wasp, and Thor. The villains would be an immortal Joe version of Thanos, Hela, Magneto, Red Skull, MODOK, Dr. Doom and Abomination. Other characters like the X-Men, Deadpool, the Hulk, and other Avengers would pop up in other groups. The main one is the characters I listed. 14. Spiderman: Great Power. A very loose adaptation of the PS4 game. It has variations, like the action, and certain changes to the story. Such as Peter having his AI Karen and his drone from SM: Homecoming, Peter is in a relationship with She Hulk, he is friends with the Avengers, and side characters like Ned being involved on the side lines. 15. A Ben 10/ Fallout harem romance story. It loosely follows the combined plots of Fallout 3 and 4. An alternate Ben's universe is destroyed by a black hole, and so Paradox, feeling bad for him, sends him to an alternate dimension where he was unknowingly killed by an insane pyronite. Ben is brought to a fallout style dimension where various alien species have come to the Earth before and after the nukes turned it into a wasteland. As Ben works to save this world from being torn apart, he also finds himself in a harem style relationship with various woman from the series. Influenced by the story, "Ben's Harem", by GreyKing46. 16. A Smash Bros AU. In this story, Samus Aran is the captain of a group of space mercs. This team consists of Aran, Sonic from Mobius, a Pikachu tested in in a lab, a baby Metroid, Link as a Luke Skywalker type character as boy coming from a backwater planet, Mario as a space mechanic, Fox Mccloud, a cyborg version of Snake, Megaman and and Kirby as a mysterious space outlaw. 17. A fantasy story maybe? When a feared yet gentle barbarian is taken hostage by a tribe of ogres, he is soon thrown into an adventure involving high stakes danger, and romance. He soon finds himself in a relationship with several females! Yeah, trying to delve into harem style storytelling. He finds himself with an orc warrior, a runaway dwarf princess, a human thief, an enslaved centaur, a flirtatious elf, a hard headed goblin and a shy nymph. 18. A simple romance story where Peter Parker, Spider-Man, and Jennifer Walters, She-Hulk, become a couple, fighting against various enemies as members of the Avengers.

He only calls it "this peace", but honestly? Knowing how medieval Europe has influenced the Legend of Zelda, it's totally conceivable that the era of peace referred to in the beginning of Link: Faces of Evil is colloquially known as "Pax Harkiniana" and that just brings the widest grin to my face!

I’d like to imagine in that Cd-I universe that Ganon consistently failed to cut that era short on account of how key items kill him in one hit, so it just lasted years until Harkinian DIEd by natural causes,

by then Zelda just takes over as queen, and she has enough sense to just outlaw Ganon from existing.
