"oh my god, look at this!" excitement fills his frame, as he crouches down by his own little vegetable and fruit patch of land. robin had been working on it since he'd gotten here, and not much had happened, until now. "strawberries! i've grown strawberries." excitement bubbles into laughter, and he throws the other a glance, beam fully activated. the world had gone to shit, and now -- it was relatively calm and peaceful, he didn't know what he was or who he was or what he wanted anymore. so sure, he'd get excited about strawberries, they seemed like a rare treat at this point. "...are you brave enough to try them with me?"

ricky hated how stereotypical it was for him to fall for her. after his divorce and tackling the whole being a parent on his own thing, he didn't really think he would have time for romance. though, from the moment he met the woman, it was as if he knew he was a goner. "thank you for watching him on such short notice," he spoke as he walked into the kitchen to make himself the dinner he'd started before he was called back into work. "i'm sure there are other things you'd much rather be doing on a friday night."

quinn felt awkward and uncomfortable, to say the least. she was hovering on the peripherals of the party, sipping on a beer that she couldn't exactly say she was a fan of. unfortunately, her best friend was preoccupied and something about it was putting her in the worst mood. maybe it was just jealousy, wondering why she couldn't be the one people were asking to dance. the look on her face was probably warding people off, not that she knew that. as her best friend made her way back over, quinn tensed up, folding her free hand against her chest.
