Emily Ratajkowski wore the white, sculptural Greek goddess dress from Jacquemus Spring Summer 2024 to the Vanity Fair Oscar's After Party. It's a pre molded, structural bodice that was asymmetrical on the body.
I actually really like it, it's a more sleek variation on her usual body revealing looks and the bodice takes up all the attention
The veil would have brought a bit more drama to the party but she opted for a more sleek vibe...just the hair is a let down (just a slicked back hairstyle to contrast the white front versus the dark back)...a bit like Margot Robbie's hair for both her Oscar's red carpet look and her after party look (Thierry Mugler archival design) which also needed more refinement and drama...Emily and Margot both look a bit undone like this...don't get this trend, lately....
But if EmRata had posed even more and bended her body, she would have ended up with a Viktor + Rolf design from their S / S 2023 collection, which was an awesome collection, btw.
Here modeled by Elsa Hosk for an event.
Also, I like that revealing outfits are not as controversial anymore as they used to be...at least, I hope so! The whole naked dress trends, side boobs and nipples showing is finally not a big deal anymore!! It's still requires a certain confidence to wear it like this, especially if you do not have a model-esque figure and/or are not white, but it seems to be getting somewhat normalized...? Could also be over-saturation....?!?!
ROONEY MARA at the 95th Annual Academy Awards and the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscars Party on March 12th 2023 wearing ALEXANDER MCQUEEN
Rooney wore Alexander McQueen for both events, and I wasn’t a super huge fan of either of them. I thought both looks weren’t very flattering, and made her posture look poor. I liked the after party look a bit better, the red details were much more interesting compared to the white dress from the Academy Awards.
