Kitchen window orchid jungle. Love it! I had two orchids for a while, but then I brought some bargain bin ones that Kroger tried to kill, and they’ve bounced back from the brink! Score! And surprisingly, one of my old ones bloomed from July through to about December of last year... I put it in the dark for a while and it is already shooting up some bloom stems so she’s back out on the window sill again for an encore. #overachiever This #smartsexysmallhouse kitchen is a sort of steamy rainforest from time to time, especially when I have a pot of soup on the stove simmering away. Orchids are only plant I know of that thrive on my peculiar blend of neglect and admiration. And I saw a vivid one at Aldi at #valentines and snapped her up. Allllll the colors! I’m looking forward to seeing the little ones bloom, they have stems full of bud buttons.
