Kitchen window orchid jungle. Love it! I had two orchids for a while, but then I brought some bargain bin ones that Kroger tried to kill, and they’ve bounced back from the brink! Score! And surprisingly, one of my old ones bloomed from July through to about December of last year... I put it in the dark for a while and it is already shooting up some bloom stems so she’s back out on the window sill again for an encore. #overachiever This #smartsexysmallhouse kitchen is a sort of steamy rainforest from time to time, especially when I have a pot of soup on the stove simmering away. Chaos Orchid has 14, or maybe 15 blooms on her. She is glorious!! I’m sure if she had not been raised by wolves she would have that very proper orchid arch with well ordered blooms in mathematical precision. 🥴🙄😛 But she lives at my house, and I kept turning her in the window to help her straighten out, and she was having None. Of. It. ...Fine! Be your glorious self!! ⚜️ I love it when I get one at the store and it decides to bloom again and again. They are so stressed out by the time they get to the shop, that they may not bloom again for a year or so, but they often do return if given the opportunity. And orchids thrive on neglect, so we get along just fine. ⚜️ I love her colors. She brings me joy!
