i’m stuck on ep eight of my mln rewatch bc i know the gu backstory plot is about to start and like obv i am not unsatisfied with the overall conclusions to the drama but the logistics of it all still seriously confuse me like initially i thought the chairman viewed him as nothing more than a valuable asset but after the drama ended the music producer revealed that the chairman thought of gu like a son and worried about him (and there’s that convo they have in the second last ep too) so i’m just. a wee bit confused like is this one of those weird blurring the lines between business and personal relationships scenarios where the chairman would potentially let gu go if he had the right reasons for deciding to leave or will the chairman realistically never let gu go without him giving something back and ensuring the continued prosperity of his business in turn.. what is the lore to this relationship
