König dead ass thinks ghost is you husband, not some boyfriend shit, married for many years at this point, and he this birdie once healthy man, she's so fucking cute man, a while has passed and she's opening more to him, don't flinch when he touches her, at lunch time sometimes birdie just sits with him. He thinks he's lonely, that's why he's having these thoughts about her.

So, one day they go to a bar, just a small thing the guys invited him really insisted for him to go, and birdie is there civilian clothes looking like a snack and he's like "no, she's ghost's girl, yes she looking damn good, she's sweet I would love to kiss her, but she's married ☹️".

In the middle of the night she just sits next to him, he can tell she's tipsy looks at him and just "thanks a lot big man, now dudes don't want me" and the engine's in his head just going wait a minute.

The way Ghost would watch over her when they would be training, the way he was so quick to rip König off her when she'd panic, soothing her in the way only Ghost could. The way he protected her from him like he was the enemy.

König definitely thinks they're together.

When they go to the pub, Birdy tries her luck with a guy she's been crushing on for a while. He's so drunk he doesn't mean to hurt her feelings, but when he let's her down slowly its with the implications that the scarring on her face is the problem.

In that small moment, as Birdy's crying on the rooftop next to König in the aftermath, she looks at him all teary eyed.

"You've got the right idea with hood," she whispered. "I might need one"

"What?" He almost snaps his head turning to look at her, "who are you hiding from?"

"Everyone," she rasps, wiping her eyes with her sleeve. She let's loose a sad giggle, watching the horizon with a vacant gaze. "No man wants me anymore after you happened."

König's mouth went dry. Women found his scars hot, it made him look dangerous and exciting- something they craved in their boring lives.

But, now, men feared you.

You were damaged goods.

But to König, you were a fucking god on earth. He worshipped the floor you walked upon, prayed for your touch. He'd always known you weren't his, but he hadn't realised no one had laid claim.

"You're beautiful," König rasped carefully, eyes never leaving your features. "The men who don't see that are the men who are to weak to be near you."
