I need to vent about Bridgerton's season 3, part 1.

Warning: spoilers ahead (duh). Also, I haven't read the books so this is purely based on my experience with the show!
I'm going to start by saying that I am planning a rewatch this weekend to pay more attention to it and to relish in the story even more. I also want to say that the only thing I didn't like so far was the scene in which Pen begs Colin to kiss her. I mean, same Pen, same, I understand her very well. But I just didn't like it, it felt off.
That being said, I love everything. I love love love Pen, it's probably one of the characters with who I relate to the most...ever! She's smart, funny, kind, and to see her so actively trying to move past her uncomfortable and sometimes cruel life, has been amazing. She's so so strong. And also so very beautiful!!! 🩵
Now Colinnn, my boy, he's a 🤡. But I want him to be Pen's clown. I loved everything about the story, would have wanted more yearning, I wanted him more desperate tbh. I hate that the kiss was THE moment that made him realize stuff (like Kylie™). But anyway, I love them together. I can't wait for the next for episodes!
I was rooting for Lord Debling, I still like him. But why was he so upset when he himself told Pen he doesn't think he'll be able to love her? I wonder if he'll fight for Pen or something? I don't know. It was a bit odd.
Francesca! Oh my baby girl, you can really tell she craves a meaningful connection but hates the attention. I think the acting was superb. I wanted to hug her everytime she was onscreen. And the way she looks at Lord Kilmartin kills meee!
I kinda like El's friendship with Cressida. Will we witness her redeeming arc this season? I sure hope so. Also I hope she finally gets a match that will be good for her and to her.
Not really feeling Benedict's lady friend but I bet she'll be the connection to his love interest in the books? (Yes, I read about it).
This have been my thoughts on this first watch. Oh! And I need more Kanthony! And hopefully more yearning! Since this part ended like this I can't imagine what will happen in the next part! Are we getting more drama? Eloise revealing everything? Maybe Debling coming back? I can't wait!!!

Takeaway thoughts from the wedding in no particular order:
- does anyone ship the Djinn/Nandor yet? Because it’s kind of precious how he started by giving Nandor exactly what he wanted as soon as he said it damn the consequences ‘I teach lessons about desire and greed’ to ‘yah Instead of your basketball star I gave you a moving cardboard cutout idk man. You sure you want her parents back? Maybe temporary instead? Yeah cool, brunch the day after can-do buddy, wont even charge you another wish. Oh you ran out of wishes?…..here, three freebies. Happy wedding’
- The Guide is in love with Nadja
- everything about the baron was just perfect. His crispy bacon self sitting on the couch. The makeover montage. His beautiful gliding and how fucking serene he seems to be back in his body
- all the side characters lately, the way they’ve been treated is just lovely. Remember Darren? He got a job. Guillermo didn’t forget about him, he still feels bad and invited him to a wedding. Seanie? Well we GOT to have him AND his wife, it’s not a party without them. The sire and the hellhound? Still chilling and living their best afterlife. The Wraiths? Down to clown. We’ve hit the sweet spot where the show is shuffling people in without blinking and expecting you to keep up and I love it.

-Marwa is a gem and needs more screen time
-the Sklar Brothers continue to delight by existing

-Nandor. My big beautiful idiot. You’re so SAD this season. I’m sad for you. Please hug Memo, for both of our sakes. I need to see him comb your hair again. I want him to hold your hand as you retreat to your coffin. You’re using wishes to close your coffin because you construct intricate rituals to avoid the touch of another man.
-I’m seriously beginning to think the house is going to collapse. Metaphorically, physically. The home they had before is falling apart; it needs to break down so they can build a new one that fits their new family.

Google and Twitter also embedded themselves in his campaign. The staff used all they were taught to put bogus Hillary info out there and penetrate the rural vote. They pushed a lot of buttons with infrastructure in middle America. The platform churned out 50 to 60 thousand ads a day. By pinpointing the things you care about most , they seemed to use the trickery well because it worked.

*****Colin Kaepernick consulted a Navy seal about his peaceful protest. The Seal told him that he didn’t see a problem with the kneeling at the games. He found it more respectful than sitting. People seem very divided on this issue but this country has always disagreed on their version of patriotism. Wearing the flag s disrespectful, kneeling during our anthem is not. Perhaps the players should hold AR 15’s instead of taking a knee.
