You can always tell people who have never been to the PNW by their over the top reactions to reportings of anti-queer actions in the region
#yes this is about the Seattle bar raids and some braindead takes I've seen after them.#if you think SPD is anything other than a violent occupying force that is definitionarily anti-revolutionary and anti-queer#then like. you've never been to Seattle?#i have vivid memories of walking to Pride past alleys stacked w tactical vehicles#of having guns pointed at me in marches for my right to exist#of flashbangs and tear gas over no provocation#like sorry to tell you but having a 'better' queer scene doesn't mean a place is ssfe#in fact it often brings its own specific dangers bc those who oppose our right to exist start to feel marginalized and lash out violently#personal
