I've read many fanfics that go like "Charlie goes to the chocolate factory but brings his older (usually female) relative with him instead of Grandpa Joe. After the factory, she and Willy Wonka fall in love and they (live happily ever after.)"
That got me thinking "Why hasn't anyone written that story but with a different family?" I did see someone start to do just that, but Charlie and Joe were still heavily involved in the story. What's the point of using a different family if you're still gonna have the Buckets be a main part of the story? Just imagine the difference. Wonka is in love with this person, but he can't stand the child in the family. And the child's parents don't like or trust him and disapprove if his relationship with the other relative. It could be really good for conflict and character development. It'd be way more interesting than how the Buckets always like him right away.
So that's what I'm gonna attempt to do. A cheesy (or should I say chocolatey) Wonka love story but without the Buckets. Honestly, I'm just tired of reading about Charlie all the time. Let's give one of the other kids a chance.
So I'm currently working on two OCs, and I've got some ideas for what kinds of stories I might want to use them in. I even plan on writing a couple stories with BOTH of them in it. I wrote some notes for their characters. I'm still working on them, so I might add/change/remove some things. Here are some of the notes:

7. Describe the shoes they’re wearing. (This is a big catch all, gets into money, taste, practicality, level of wear, level of repair, literally what kind of shoes they require to live their life.)
Veruca's shoes are always in style to match with the rest of her attire. Despite being born into wealth, Veruca doesn't like spending a lot of money on personal items unless she has to. Shoes she wants are stuff that can last and are practical yet still have a nice style. Most of the footwear she owns look simple, with just a little detail to add to their design.
Given Veruca's height (5'3"/160cm), many people view Veruca as short. And it's true if you have Veruca stand next to Carson, the boy is a giant next to her (5'7"/170cm). So all of Veruca's shoes either has a heel or a platform to give her more leverage in height. But even then, she's still shorter than Carson 😆
Veruca takes great care with her shoes, putting them up on display in her closet rather than have them thrown to the side with other shoes. She even takes the time to clean them on a weekly basis, and all of her shoes are made with leather so Veruca takes extra care to make sure they shine. And most of her shoes come in one color, black. Very rarely would you find a pair in a different color.
Her standard footwear when it comes to family business or professional settings. They're comfortable for her, and much easy to slip on and off. They're very simple, not enough style or accesories to clash with her outfit.
These types of shoes are footwear she would wear on a daily basis. When she's at school, out with her friends or going off on dangerous adventures. The shoes are more secure with the straps and snug, making it easy for Veruca to run in if she ever needs to rush somewhere. And the height of the shoe is perfect and leveled for her so she wouldn't lose her balance if she ever slipped or jumped off a ledge.
On special occasions, like parties or banquets, Veruca would wear her nicer footwear. Shoes that have a strap to them and a thick heel. And a nice little touch to the attire, a small accessory on the shoes like a small bow or a charm. Even the buckle can take on a fancy shape.
Since Veruca has been wearing heels or platforms for most of her life, she is more than capable of running or jumping in them. Or even getting into a fight with someone 🤷♀️
