spinel is the epitome of perfection. she hasta be. anything less than perfection is something that can get her and her siblings killed. she already got her n her siblings out of an abusive home, she's not looking ta relive being in fear 24/7 (even though the situation hasnt changed, its just that the environment has and she feels a new level of control in this new one)

citrine is the opposite of perfection. she keeps fucking things up, not doing things the way they needta b done, and spinel dogs on her abt it A LOT. they're the eldest. they're the ones that hafta keep everything in order n citrine just doesnt seem ta b up ta the task. its like she's self sabotoging on purpose. like she's trying ta ruin this for them, when spinel worked oh so hard ta get them where they are now.

citrine used ta look up ta spinel a lot but not anymore. she's basically acting out in all the ways a rebellious teenager would. drugs, sex, hanging out w/"shady characters" just Not Listening, all that stuff. but bro. citrine is just tryna live man. really live. why does spinel hate it when she uses weed just ta try ta escape from the nightmare for a little bit? when she reads silly romance novels when she needs ta be training? she just wants to feel good for once.

but citrine is well aware that she's not the best role model for her younger siblings. her 5 yr old sis is already taking after her n her angry personality. lashing out at her twin sister in a very similar fashion that citrine does ta spinel, pretending ta smoke and getting caught trying ta smoke when going thru citrine's belongings, but she cant help but continue ta be the way she is. and neither can spinel. its like nothing changed. and citrine is watching the cycle continue with their 5 year old sisters while spinel doesn't seem ta notice the problem at all.

anyway ive been thinking lately abt The Two Worst Siblings™ yk citrine and spinel and how they are a perfect reflection of everything they hated abt their parents. every microaggression. every passive aggressive remark. every outright argument. spinel was basically tasked w/raising 4 kids at a young age but being so young she understood nothing. she fell back onto old ways and was surprised when citrine followed the same path. she liked 2 think she had done everything right. she made sure they were fed, she cut off their parents, she got an incredible job so why was she still miserable? why was citrine miserable? she couldnt understand it was all so illogical. but she was never taught how 2 talk. and so her feelings, which came from a good place initially, bubble up and she gets so angry. angry at her parents, angry her family is sad, angry at citrine, angry at herself. b/c why cant i keep my family together like i used to?

it only made her angrier seeing citrine the sister she had so many late night conversations w/planning out their escape, making promises of "we wont turn out like them," turn out like this. this delinquent who failed guard training twice. what happened to cute agreeable citrine? what happened to the citrine that excelled at everything she did? what happened to teamwork? where did her sister go?

but it was spinel's fault citrine turned out this way. citrine is so incredibly aware of everything that happens around her much 2 her detriment. she cant really understand how 2 fix the situation she's in.

she's trapped. forever dependent on someone who is just as bad as her parents and no wonder, they come from the same blood. but so does she. does that make her a monster too? she caught her younger sister w/one of her e-cigs once and after ripping it away and yelling at her, demanding 2 know why she had done this, her sister through choked sobs said, "i just want to be like you!" but citrine doesnt even want to be like herself. shes a monster. she just yelled at her kid sister and made her cry shes a monster. why would anyone ever want to be like her shes a mess and shes ugly and disgusting and she smokes and fails at everything and she yelled at her sister and made her cry. what is wrong with me? i am a monster i am a monster i am a monster i am a monster

(✿◕_◕✿) im not entirely satisfied w/their armour but its a start :3. these guys r kinda gimicky tbh. besties who obsess over romance and romantic shows n junk. schuy is a......bit of a sterotypical character in the way that she acts towards someone specific. tbh im still tryna figure out amie! she's been a bit of a "idk" character for me beyond her relationship w/schuy. they both enable each other's bad behavior lmao. im noticing that a lot of my characters form trios w/one another and the third oc that would b part of this trio is citrine :3

citrine and ametrine are siblings and citrine's the 19 yr old older sister who's just like. done w/these goofy ahh teens. they're all guards in training (although, citrine should have graduated training and become a guard already) and come tagether once a week ta watch cheesy romcoms tagether :33 also they're someof the few guards in training that acutally live in Rexica Manor 👀 due 2 their parents or sister holding important positions.

beyond that, they're just your run of the mill teens goin ta highschool, obsessing over romantic interests (mostly schuy), and preparing for their step inta adult life :)

schuy is all sunshine and rainbows, citrine is an angry and brooding almost 20 year old, and amie is a sarcastic mean son of a bitch. shuy is also one of my characters who has a voice claim!! i imagine her ta have a bit of a deeper harley quinn type accent, maybe not as exaggerated tho.

as of now they're kinda background-y (minus citrine) i like them a lot tho so im tryna find ways ta incorporate them inta the story better. also guess what phase i was in when i named schuyler. guess.
