History
Born on Nar Shaddaa as older sister to her sibling Jeva, the two had a rough life from the start. Their parents were both spice dealers, and stiffed a Hutt one too many times. Bounty hunters were sent to retrieve the family; when their parents defended themselves and a firefight broke out, Jessi grabbed her sibling and took off into the alley. When they later went back to their home, their parents and one of the hunters were dead inside.
From that point on, Jessi scrounged for scraps for the both of them while keeping them tucked away in forgotten alleyways. A few years of that passed before they encountered a Sith Pureblood bouncer, K'hedif, who offered them some food. K'hedif would continue to bring them food and changes of clothes for the next few weeks, until finally offering to pay for a hotel room for them when they were no longer timid of him.
When K'hedif left the planet, having finally saved up enough credits for a shuttle, he again gave the siblings an offer: Join him and get off Nar Shaddaa. Jeva was still young at the time, Jessi accepted the offer and they found themselves adopted by the man. He job-hopped a lot, taking the siblings with him whenever he did, until finally settling with an old spacer.
He had that job a while, before his employer was killed by Twin Suns gangsters. Jessi tucked her sibling into a closet on the ship and grabbed a spare blaster, positioning herself at the entrance to protect Jeva until K'hedif came for the two. Another spacer named Jen had stepped in just in time to save K'hedif and the siblings, and hesitantly offered a job. Jessi would later learn that it was only so she and Jeva would have a roof over their heads, and that Jen hadn't originally wanted K'hedif on his ship because he was Sith.
While Jeva was raised by the Sept crew, Jessi was hesitant to put too much trust into them and remained pretty independent despite her young age. It would take nearly three years before she even started calling Jen and Kitty her dads. When they adopted Sith apprentice Liakige onto the crew, Jessi grew fond of them pretty quickly; they were a lot closer to Jessi's age than her sibling, so when Ki became more comfortable with the crew, the two of them developed a close bond.
She'd always wanted to be like Kitty - a healer, a medic, whatever she could do - so took an interest in the Alliance as she got old enough for military. The life of a smuggler just wasn't for her. So, though she loved her family dearly, she started getting in touch with the Alliance with various questions on their military program.
With Ki at her side, Jessi decides to eventually leave the Star Hopper and join the Alliance. Jessi became a cadet training as a combat medic, while Ki began training in the newly formed Paladin Order.
Upon graduating from her training, Jessi was recruited to Inferno Squad as its medic - a new squad tasked with protecting rebuilding efforts on various planets. It was when the squad was on Taris that Jessi was mauled by a territorial nexu; it resulted in the loss of an eye. ...As well as finally earning her a military nickname that would soon become her call sign: "Nexu Bait." She was irritable with the name at first, but grew quite fond of it and would laugh about it over the years.
Inferno Squad uncovered a plot on the Commander's life purely by accident, and when Terrin decided to look at them with a little more scrutiny than she had previously, she realized she was holding the team back with their current jobs. They were tasked to train under Alliance Intelligence for a while, and became a subterfuge squad; their job became to track down traitors and various assassination and ambush plots before they could happen. It was around this time that Jessi was made the second-in-command of the squad, after the previous was removed due to not fitting with the restructuring.
Inferno Squad ended up the sole reason that, many years later, the Alliance wasn't totally wiped out when the Empire struck in an attempt to remove a thorn from its side. Had it not been for the squad, their losses would have been far greater.
Jessi readily followed when the Alliance disappeared into unknown space to avoid being wiped out completely. Though she would eventually leave the squad, she'd remain part of Odessa's security force, accompanying teams out into the wilderness as the Alliance slowly worked on building up a city...

It just occurred to me
That only three of my Canon Eight™️ actually survive to see Odessa when the Alliance abandons Odessen
-Terrin was killed, alongside her husband, a few months before the invasion. Thanks to a betrayal from their youngest child.
-Xaerez passes many years before due to health complications brought on by all the crap his body's been through.
-Synnda, to heart complications. He was always quiet about his health, and no one even realized his artificial heart was having issues until it was too late.
-Azan and Leo both meet their ends while defending Odessen from the Sith Empire's invasion.
-Jen survives, and retires on the new world, passing the Star Hopper to Jeva and Riza.
-Varrich's cybernetics keep him alive FAR longer than he should live, keeping him running even as his mind starts shutting down from age long after the Alliance disappears to Odessa.
-and then....there's Qizulth. Sith rituals, Ashaa rebuilding his body, keeping stubborn hold of a number of spirits.... He won't die. Some speculate he can't die, not from natural means. Three thousand years later, the hermit oracle in Odessa's wilderness scoffs at the stories of the undying Sith (but some with a keen eye notice that the oracle still glances up when Darth Nox is mentioned, or that he smiles just a little at stories of the ancient third Barsen'thor)

(Internet being spotty, so typing this out kinda quick. Apologies for any mistakes or Rambliness™️!)
(For anyone who may just happen across this: Kitty is the Sith Pureblood, Jen is the Cathar lol)
1. What were their first impressions of one another?
Jen didn't trust Kitty as far as he could throw him. Jen is lowkey scared of Sith, so one look at Kitty's face without knowing him had him on edge - he only let Kitty on his crew in the first place so his kids could have a roof over their heads.
Kitty was grateful of Jen, respected him for his help, but found him arrogant and kind of unbearable to be around for extended periods of time.
Obviously those negative impressions didn't last lol
2. What was their first date like? If they haven't been on a date yet, how would it go?
Theirs was pretty stereotypical. Baesk babysat the kids, Jen and Kitty went to a nicer cantina for drinks. They flirted, laughed, exchanged stories, that kind of thing. Kitty also proved to be a lightweight - Jen thought it was hilarious, but had to call Corso to help get Kitty back to the ship so he could sleep it off.
12. What would they say each other's worst quality is?
Jen thinks Kitty's is his selfishness when it comes to strangers in need. He won't risk his own life for someone he doesn't know, and it's caused some arguments.
Kitty 100% thinks it's Jen's tendency to run headfirst into things with zero planning or preparation.
13. What would they say each other's best quality is?
Jen adores Kitty's soft-spoken nature, and also thinks his medical know-how is invaluable to the crew.
Kitty thinks it's Jen's selflessness and courage when it comes to helping those in need; he admires it, but has a hard time being the same way, himself.
28. Are they affectionate in public? Is it too much?
While Kitty is a little more reserved simply due to the fact he's quiet around strangers, neither of them is afraid of PDA. They're happy to hold hands, hug, give a passing kiss on the lips or cheek, and Jen likes to bump his forehead against Kitty's chest or neck.
Jen is also subject to purr if Kitty has an arm around him.
50. Is there anything that scares them about their friendship/relationship?
They're both afraid of losing each other to something stupid - which can make Jen's tendency to put himself in dangerous situations pretty scary for Kitty.
1. What were their first impressions of one another?
Lina saw a loyal trooper, and was interested in learning more about his experiences since her brother was also in the Republic military.
Felix saw a surprisingly stubborn Jedi with a bright smile. He was...pretty smitten almost immediately.
2. What was their first date like? If they haven't been on a date yet, how would it go?
They both suspect Synnda purposefully tasked everyone else with things offboard to give them some time alone, though he never confirmed nor denied when asked about it. They took it as a chance to talk in private, get to know each other better without Tharan or Zenith making comments or Nadia giggling when she thought they wouldn't notice.
They never really had an "official" first date where they went somewhere fancy or spent fun time together, but that night alone was a big step for their relationship, and they fell asleep with Lina laying her head on his chest.
12. What would they say each other's worst quality is?
Lina thinks it's Felix's tendency to be selfless to the point of putting himself in extreme danger. She's had a few scares because of it.
Felix thinks it's Lina's poor improvisational skills. When Plans A and B fail, she balks, and he's always worried it'll get her or someone else hurt when it happens.
13. What would they say each other's best quality is?
Lina loves that he does what he thinks is right, but also that he's not really a by-the-book type of guy. She quickly grew to admire his leadership when she saw how he dealt with his men on Hoth.
Felix loves her arms her big heart and how it pairs with her sarcasm for a pretty damn endearing personality. He also likes that she's a good team player, working very well with most groups.
28. Are they affectionate in public? Is it too much?
They're both pretty reserved in public, though a passing peck on the cheek isn't unheard of. Their reservations on PDA is a leftover habit from when Lina was a Jedi, but they both know they don't need a bunch of it to know they love each other.
50. Is there anything that scares them about their friendship/relationship?
Lina's worst fear already came to a head when Zakuul captured Felix. She could sense he was alive, and his distress was great enough even she could feel it, and she worried every day for when that feeling would just. End. And she'd know he was gone. She bawled her eyes out when they were reunited on Odessen. (It didn't help that her brother was Also missing for about half that time, and when he came back he was in Bad shape, so she had a lot of thoughts about what might be happening to her husband which just distressed her more)
Felix is afraid of losing her in any way, though to age is what he worries about most (since she's a doctor/healer, so personally not in danger very often). She's a few years older than him, so it's fairly likely she'll die before him. He was admittedly also a little worried that in the years he was missing that she was no longer in love with him, or that she'd even found someone else. He felt guilty about it, but reminds himself that the thought was put in his head by Jarak, while he actually knows Lina.

2. Tell us a little bit about yourself.
"...You're not expectin' a sales pitch on why I'm a great leader or whatever, right?" She laughs, crossing her arms as she leans back comfortably in her seat. "Uhhh.... What is there to tell? I accidentally became Commander, I'm Mando, got a bit of a temper and like fire. I was a bounty hunter feels like a lifetime ago, sick of all the faction and Force nonsense. That good enough?"
5. Do you have any role models? Tell us a little bit about them.
A wide grin stretches her face. "Well, Dad of course gotta be one of 'em. Maybe not the best role model, all things considered, but he loved me and wanted me to be ready for the galaxy around me, and I looked up to 'im.
"But, uh... For the most part, most of the people who shaped my view on things, I learned what not to do from 'em. Dunno, guess I was just bad at pickin' who I hung around as a kid."
17. Have you ever been in love?
"Of course! Look, I could be cheesy and say Torian's the only love I've ever known, bla-bla-bla, but I've loved people before. Sure, not many, but a few! Had this huge crush on a partner I had for my first hunt without Dad - about broke my nose walkin' into a doorframe when he kissed me." She laughed at her own misfortune, rubbing the back of her neck.
"But most of 'em were just flings; teenage boyfriends, a girlfriend here and there. None of 'em lasted long, even if I thought I was 'so so in love' at that point. Not 'til Tori." Her grin turns gentler. "When we started dating, I just...knew this one would be different. I knew he was the one."
18. Have you ever been kissed?
"Oh, totally - that's not even counting Tori. I've even kissed one or two of my bounties - I ever tell ya about my first solo one? Force, she's when I realized 'Oh. Well girls are hot, too, I guess....'"

With two fingers, he plucks the toothpick from his mouth and leans forward with a crooked grin. "You're tellin' me you haven't heard of the Voidhound? Well, feast your eyes on the greatest smuggler to ever live~! I can get through a blockade without a scratch, drop off a weapon shipment, kill a Hutt, an' still be home in time for dinner."
5. Do you have any role models? Tell us a little bit about them.
"Ma and Dad raised me like they'd been raised - and I guess I'm raisin' my own that way, too. So... Them?" He scratched behind an ear with a painted claw, glowering when the action pulled some hair loose from his ponytail. "Smugglers, livin' among the stars, never stayin' one place for too long, big ol' bleeding hearts - wonder where I get all that from, ha!"
"Uh... Don't tell him I said this, but I guess the Old Man, too. He pretty much helped raise me, y'know? Grumpy, sure, sure, but gives good advice and has lived way longer than any bounty hunter ever should. And he's great with the kids, Jeva loves him. Might be an old curmudgeon, but hey." He grins a grin full of sharp teeth. "We'll give the guy a pass - he's dealt with me all my life, after all."
17. Have you ever been in love?
"Y'know somethin' funny? All the folks I've f-- uh, spent the night with, I'd never really felt any deep attachment to 'em. Beryl's maybe the closest, but even her... Eh. Could never see her as more of a 'friend with benefits' type of deal. Never really thought I'd be one to settle down with one partner."
He looks away, a dreamy look falling over him. "'Til I met Kitty. Maybe it's 'cause he was on the crew, maybe it was his kiddos, that we had time to be friends and get to know each other first, I dunno. But one day I just...looked 'im in the eyes as he berated me for bein' an idiot and gettin' myself hurt bad enough he had to stitch me up, and I just couldn't look away." He leans forward, putting an elbow on his knee and propping his chin firmly over his knuckles. "And now I couldn't imagine life without 'im or the kids."
18. Have you ever been kissed?
He bites down firmly on the toothpick, offering a simple wink. It seems he figures that's suffice an answer...

I'll be sticking to SWTOR characters for this, just for consistency
Favorite OC: Rediaex'aere'zortiea
This was a difficult one, but I think I've got to go with Xaerez. I've really enjoyed developing him over the last few years, and I always enjoy writing fics for him, answering asks, or just doing Certified Oliver Ramblings about him. The way duty contradicts morals for them (A Lot) makes them a lot of fun; I always enjoy thinking "ok, this is what he Wants to do, but this is what he's Going to do" when it comes to the various situations I shove them into whether they Want those situations or not.
Newest OC: Fower Vek
I believe it's Fower ("Flower"), from the Rediscovery Era crew! Like Farsc, she's a professor - they worked together at a university on Coruscant, so that's how Farsc ended up going to her to get her on the crew and in on a little grand theft auto to steal the Star Hopper from a museum oops. She's an astronomer and cartographer, so makes sure the crew doesn't get lost while they search for where the Alliance disappeared to all those thousands of years ago. I like to think she's an ancestor to Lina and Varrich.
Oldest OC: Synnda V'ehsz
I have many OCs much older than Synnda, but in keeping it to SWTOR, he was my very first. ...Probably not surprising, considering my legacy name haha - although he was named after my legacy, instead of the other way around. I did (and still kinda do) self-project a lot onto him, but I've developed him a lot over the years and he's very dear to me. I've got a Synnda clone on just about every server if that says anything - including 2 versions of him on Star Forge alone.
Meanest OC: Ehna'dissen
Ehna, hands down. (Commander!Varrich comes in close, however) She's an interrogator, and enjoys holding power over others. It's because of her that Xaerez's Castellan restraints get re-triggered. Because of her Synnda eventually loses his life. Because of her that the Cadera siblings nearly tear each other apart as she watched on. She's absolutely horrible, she knows she's horrible, and she thinks it's all just a fun game that she's winning.
Softest OC: Parrakh Djal
He just wants to be a healer, help others when he can. His life had an unfortunate start, but he finds his place as one of Synnda's students.
Most Aloof/Standoffish OC: Anaehr Cadera
The youngest of Terrin and Torian's kids, Anaehr was already distant from his older siblings who were less than a year apart. He distances himself from his family as he grows jealous and angry of his siblings' success, makes terrible mistakes for it, but stands his ground and refuses to feel guilt for the actions that make him Dar'manda. He doesn't let anyone get close to him; his anger becomes numbness, and he becomes a cold and hateful man.
Dumbest (Affectionate) OC: Jen Sept
My Voidhound. Need I say more? ajksl;djaskld Jen is. A lot. He can walk into a trap, know he's walking into a trap, and continue to walk in with zero plan anyway. It's....a good thing he has Risha and Kitty to steer him in the right direction, or this cat man probably would have gotten himself killed a long time ago.
Smartest OC: Kitty
While Synnda and Qizulth are both extremely intelligent, their knowledge is a lot more limited to their interests. Kitty? He learned to survive during over a decade on the run after sneaking out of the academy on Korriban. Medicine, cultures, languages, mechanics, history--chances are if you ask him something, he can at the very least point you in the direction of getting the right answer even if he doesn't know it himself. Good thing, too: Marrying the Voidhound means someone needs to have the braincell or they're doomed.
Horniest OC: Jen Sept
Jen again! He kinda just. Slept his way through the galaxy until he met Kitty. And now that they're together, Jen likes to experiment in bed, and sometimes they'll bring in a third for the night, too. With Jen having so much power in the underworld, it works Mighty Well for getting other bosses to cooperate with him.

OC You'd be Friends With IRL: Kidak Hess
He's just a very gentle person, and the thing about him is he Knows How To Be Friends With Introverts Without Being Overwhelming. He's totally chill to just be in someone's company without needing to be Doing Things. He's happy to talk about his own interests for hours, but at the same time he'd be happy to listen to someone else ramble about theirs while he he just soaked up everything they said. He'd just be really nice company, and the exact type of person I'd love to hang out with.

oh this is a Hard question uhhhh
I think it's pretty close between two.
Jen/Kitty is probably pretty obvious. I just. love their dynamic so so much. medic x the one always getting hurt, the Brain Cell™️ x the dumbass /aff, huge buff guy who's (mostly) pacifist x tiny (compared to big guy) cat ready to throw hands
They're just so FUN
plus, their whole "well. this homeless child is Mine Now" deal that they decided they had with no say whatsoever from me ajdskl;asjdk (they literally have. five. FIVE. adopted kids by the end. PLUS their two bio daughters)
I really need to draw them more I miss them

the other couple is Synnda/Chakem (who later add Koth for a polytriad)
They're slow burn, they're forbidden love, they're Total Opposite Histories Who Find Companionship And Comfort With Each Other okay
Synnda, the Jedi Barsen'thor touched by the dark side and fights to resist it every day of his life. He's so so so gentle and softspoken but can and will tear someone apart if he has to.
Chakem, the Grand Champion's medic who was in prison. and not just any prison, but Belsavis prison. he seems pacifist, but he makes a point that, hey, you don't survive Belsavis by being soft, nor do you end up there for no reason.
They're so different and compliment each other so so well. they're not silly goofy like Jen and Kitty, but it just adds to them I think

ugh. I've gotta draw something of them on Yavin.....
so. yeah. it's Incredibly difficult to choose between these two couples ajkl;dasjkl
in the end, it depends on my mood, I think. if I want something soft or silly or domestic, I prefer Jen/Kitty. if I want serious, talks, protecting, I prefer Synnda/Chakem

It's a little of both, to be honest! Xaerez and Jen are the most fleshed out with actual tales for them, the rest are more-so concepts/vibes.
For Xae and Jen, I made little snippets for both of them a long time ago, so I'll post those and explain a bit more about them!
Xaerez:
The tall tales of old fishermen? Or an ocean predator lurking just beneath the surface..?
They say his hair is made of venomous barbs, his teeth like needles, and claws of steel. They say he’s only ever seen during nasty storms that make the waves rage and tear at the hulls of ships caught in the middle of it all.
They say he waits, watches, for the storm to tear a ship apart to provide a bountiful feast...
He's never been seen by humans save for his shadow beneath the surface, but the stories are enough. He's dangerous, and is said to follow ships for days or even weeks waiting on that perfect storm. Some believe he even helps the storm tear a ship apart.
Jen:
Fishermen say they often hear beautiful songs, far out in the fog. Songs, that promise their greatest desires. Wealth, or love, or fame - anything between, and beyond.
They warn to never follow the song, for a siren’s razor-sharp claws await…
As the tale says, he's a siren. Where Xaerez waits for storms to do the job to give him a meal, Jen lures sailors in himself.
And for concepts I have for some others, but haven't yet figured out how to write their tales:
Terrin: A protective mother with the teeth of a shark
Synnda and Qizulth: Often seen as a pair, curious, cause unintentional damages in their attempts to learn
Varrich: A recluse, doesn't take kindly to his territory being encroached on - especially by humans. Severe injuries, likely from failed attempts to capture or kill him. Just wants to be left alone
Leo: The guide. Points lost sailors in the direction of the nearest land, or leads them through deadly waters - but can also be incredibly dangerous to those foolish enough to attempt to harm or capture her.
