Thoughts on Obi Wan Kenobi so far
The series starting with the Padawan massacre. Like damn.
Obi Wan being so traumatised by losing everything he believed in his whole life
Obi Wan still having night terrors 10 years later about not being able to save Anakin or Padme or even Qui-Gon
Obi Wan trying desperately to communicate with Qui-Gon, to gain some sense of guidance after being disconnected from the Jedi for a decade, but can’t because he’s lost his connection to the Force
Idk what’s wrong with me but DAMN if Darth Vader getting strapped into his suit isn’t the sexiest damn thing 🔥
Leia thinking Obi Wan might be her birth father 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
Darth Vader dragging Obi Wan through a pit of fire so Obi Wan will hurt like Obi Wan hurt him 🔥🔥🔥

That peacock smile Anakin has when he disarmed his master. Omg it's killing me. He's just so proud, so eager to prove himself, to be praised. Yet Obi-wan....... he taught him lessons. I mean it is what Anakin needed but he didn't want it. He was also in desperate need of acknowledgements. No wonder he got so upset when he wasn't granted master.
There IS perfect resemblance between Vader and Anakin. They ARE the same.

I feel like Reva would have been so much happier if she took a lesson from Kanan and discovered alcohol and sex for 8 years instead of being a pissed off Padawan*.
*Yes, I'm going with Reva being a pissed off Padawan.

the range of emotions obiwan must be feeling when Reva said that Anakin was alive fam......from shock, to fear, to even more guilt bc obi left him to die there and he wasn't even dead I'm in so much distress rn 😖😩

I had been thinking about how people tend to blame their own selves- mostly because it gives them some semblance of control, of having a say- in what has happened (especially if it caused a terrible pain). We are all quick to scrutinize ourselves, we try to find the tiniest mistakes we made, try to think up how we could’ve had avoided certain scenarios. But mostly it’s just our brain trying to fix something it COULD fix. Fix=Letting go of the pain, eliminating the problem. If it’s OUR fault, WE can/could’ve had fixed it! Often needlessly taking on responsibility for shared conflict can leave us miserable since there is nothing we can do or could’ve done- not all outcomes are our doing. We cannot influence everything. We cannot take responsibility >for others<.
And this is exactly what Obi-wan Kenobi’s personal journey has been about in the series.
