Hello, everyone! In celebration of the approaching release date, @lastchancegeneralstore has made a tag/ask thingie with questions about everything Snicket! Our hope is that this makes it around to as many volunteers as possible so that we can all get to know each other better and celebrate together!

Favorite book in the series: The Slippery Slope

When did you read them for the first time: The first one was read to me when I too young to remember how old i was, I really got into it when I was about ten or eleven

Favorite character: Ink. I can’t decide so im just gonna go with the cute snake.

Kit/Dewey or Kit/Olaf: Kit/Olaf, if only because we didn’t really see Kit and Dewey interacting in-series

Favorite Quagmire: Well, Isadora is pretty cool and sassy, Quigley’s relationship with Violet has been my otp since i was about ten, and Duncan doesn’t get nearly enough attention from the fandom but has lots of potential as a character. *indecisive shrieking*

Favorite Baudelaire: I love all three, but I tend to find myself drawn towards Violet

Favorite Snicket: Lemony

Did you see the 2004 movie in theaters: Yes, but it was before I finished the books. When i read the books i was floored by how much better they were.

Thoughts about the movie: Meh.

Favorite quote: “Is it safe to eat raw toast?”

Have you ever met Daniel Handler: Yes. I stared at the floor and spoke in monosyllables, overwhelmed by the presence of my idol.

Thoughts about ATWQ: Good, but it didn’t really draw me in the way ASOUE did. I actually haven’t finished the series yet, and i feel kinda like an insufficient fangirl.

Favorite ATWQ character: Undecided

Favorite moment in ASOUE: *indecisive shrieking*

Would you ever get an eye tattoo: Probably not. I’m terrified of needles.

Fire-fighter or Fire-starter: Fire-fighter. Best to be the lesser of two evils.

Least favorite character: Now that I’m an adult, I find myself hating Mr. Poe more and more. He really didn’t give a single fuck.

Did the Quagmires survive: Yes. Certainly. Absolutely. Yee. Yeah. Yup. Yep. 100% yes. You betcha. Aye. Affirmative. indubitably. Of course. Undeniably. Just let me have this one thing, okay?

In your opinion, what is the great unknown: Symbolic.

Did you like the way the series ended: I go back and forth on it.

What question do you most want answered by Handler: Well, it certainly wouldn’t be “did the Quagmires survive?” because we all know they did and then proceeded to live happily the fuck ever after.

What are you most excited for about the Netflix series: I’m already very pleased about having a fandom to interact with. When I was a kid none of my friends really like it.

Binge watching or spacing out the episodes: Binge watching, most likely
