it feels kind of weird being an artist that mainly draws animal people n anthros & that being the main kind of thing people usually come to my page for, but not being able to relate to like most of the furry community in general (specifically when it comes to art + kind of characters i draw)
#this isn't supposed to be anything negative abt furries i just feel like my characters do Not really fit the category of “furry”#or at least when you think abt what a furry “Should” look like by the community or every1 else#folks tend to find my anthro art first and like those more than anything. but find that most of my art which is just my ocs mind you#isn't just your generic furry Art bc my ocs are either very humanoid or flat faced lil guys & disappointing ppl scares me lol#i feel like they're in a weird limbo between “too humanoid-looking to be anthro” and “too many animal traits to be humanoid”#but maybe that's just me idk how to really word this correctly?#i have a few reasons why i don't rly call myself a “furry artist” or my ocs “furry” & this is one of those reasons#but i'm not getting into those other reasons cause. yeah lmao???#yadda yadda my art + ocs are too niche to belong in the community but it's not like i ever called myself part of it anyway & don't want to#wolfe.txt#vent-ish post this got a bit long here sorry o_o

WAIT#everyone says the book is nowhere near as good as the anime but nothing will ever come close to the anime its my fave for a reason#and i actually rly enjoyed the penguin highway light novel so like. ill probably enjoy his other works too#they had time machine blues too which i also got i didnt even realise that was getting a translation#what a stroke of luck frrrr.. makes this trip worth it even if i dont get my stupid parcel#im on the way to pick it up now fingers crossed someones in 😭😭😭😭#.diaries

You should watch Armada though. In Japanese. It's called Legends of the Microns. (I also watched Energon in Japanese, not the English but I heard it's a super jumbled mess in English??)
But the good thing about Cybertron is that it does genuinely work about a stand alone series! In English, they do try to connect it to the previous shows via references to Unicron and stuff which, do and don't make sense. Especially when like, Cybertron Wing Saber isn't Energon Wing Saber but treated the same but also entirely different characters. Since in Galaxy Force, it's Sonic Bomber and it's NOT Wing Saber. Does this make sense.
So if you watch Cybertron alone, the callbacks shouldn't matter too much!! It's genuinely such a fun time and my god the Decepticons are so fun. The Autobots are so fun. Fire truck Optimus Prime fucks hard. Vector Prime the grandpa of all time. Thundercracker.
Note I watched Cybertron, so the English version. I do intend to watch Galaxy Force since it's different and not UT connected. But I adored Cybertron to bits and initially watched it because I needed to multitask at the same time. I hope you enjoy Cybertron as much as I did!!!

Y'know, it probably betrays how incredibly German I am that I didn't bat an eye at Shinguji's mask in V3. Bc I was too distracted by his uniform. Hey, Spike Chunsoft? Why. What's with that red arm band? On the brownish green military style uniform? I know you were going for Visual Kei meets history/anthropology, but like. Was the nazi imagery on purpose. Was that meant to contribute to his rancid vibes. If yes ig y'all succeeded but like. Wtf

Yes I DO love them but also have you ever considered that they are just genuinely tasty and also also also consuming them is probably better for the environment considering most species are either invasive, proliferating to the point of messing up the ecosystem, or both so like don’t judge my life choices I still love jellyfish I’ll just eat em too

I Have really been enjoying trigun stampede on It’s own merits but it is getting hard for me to keep from comparing it to the manga… seeing great elements from the manga I love incorporated but in a really rushed and Surface Level way is kinda a bummer
#kite.txt#rly feels like they’ve speedrun vash and wolfwoods relationship in a way that makes it feel so… unearned#they still feel like strangers rn in stampede. whereas the livio and backstory stuff is supposed to be like the climax of their friendship#and of course Meryl is just absolutely . um. an absolute shadow of the character she once was#nd 7 eps in they have done nothing with Roberto that made him worth replacing Milly . the Story (and esp mery) has only suffered#from millys absence. also rly didnt need to axe one of the two female Leads in favor of another man (who does nothing)#the animation and General look is amazing and there are def some things I think were rly smart#but overall it feels like a super watered down amalgamation of manga ideas which isnt. awful bc it’s still fun but#as a trimax Fan it hurts to see a little#also the removing off all the unique elements like the lightbulbs and Angelic body horror#in favor of Stock Standard sci-fi Fluid Tube and typical ‘Alien’ looking plante#is not a decision I can defend at all it just strips the series of some of its most iconic and unique visual elements#that one just kinda sucks

#yeah i could just make a 'read more' post but tags are better for me#more hiding#anyway#i have this problem where my sister is probably moving out next year but she can't rly do that without me bc her dog has issues#and i would have to take him out and feed all the animals while she's at work during the day bc nobody else can#but even with that being taken into account she would still charge me over double what i'm paying now for rent and i cannot afford that#and she says i'd have to get a job too but excuse me how am i supposed to work when i also have to be home to look after your animals??#barn job would be nice bc short hours but it also wouldn't be enough to pay what she'd charge me#so i'm screwed there#anyway i WISH i could make enough money to live on my own but i CAN'T#ik i probably sound very lazy and spoiled and i get that i am definitely priviliged to get to live at home for cheap rent#but it also fucks with my mental health so bad living here. and i want to live on my own but it's just not an option rn#i have dreams and they're such basic sad dreams that i still don't think i'll ever accomplish#like i want to live in my own small travel trailer. that's all. my own space. or a tiny falling apart cabin that i can fix up#that's all i want and it seems impossible for me#i'm not built to live in this world. my body and mind cannot take it. i have tried. i've tried so hard#honestly if i had to work full time again i don't think i'd actually be able to stay alive to benefit from it. it would burn me out too bad#there's no win for me#i'm still trying to figure something out but i'm honestly not hopefull at all

tbh i keep forgetting that sonic frontiers even exists
#it was like. not memorable to me honestly#im not saying it’s bad btw. it’s definitely a million times better than any of the 2010s games. but it’s not one of my favorites#i MIGHT just think this because i havent actually gotten to play it myself yet. so my opinion is not based on the full experience or whatevr#maybe my opinion will change if i ever get around to buying it and playing it.#but like my current opinions on it.. idk it was good it was ok.#i liked what they did with amy and knuckles and tails#good arcs. especially tails. i’d be lying if i said that shit didnt get me rly emotional. i may or may not have almost cried.#but i kinda do not care about anything else.#it felt like big things were supposed to be happening but honestly it was very underwhelming.#also i gotta say. the animation is comparable to that of sonic 06. (not good)#but i guess a sonic game isnt really a sonic game if the animation isnt bad#anyway that’s all. those are all my thoughts on sonic frontiers.#im glad theyre going in a new direction with sonic tho. im happy that theyre trying new things and the game is successful
