Nora and Alejandro Fanfic Part Three ❤️

Monday 11:37

Nora sat in the cafeteria with Eva, Viri, and Amira. Nora was drinking her favorite tea. Viri was ecstatic over some new lipstick collection that had just released and was asking what color she should get.

Viri showed the girls the lipsticks on her phone,“I like the rosy pink color, but the dark red is also super pretty. What do you guys think?” Viri questioned.

“I think you should get the orangey red one, it would look nice on you.” Eva replied.

“I don’t know, what do you think Nora?” Viri looked at Nora waiting for a response.

“Personally, I like the pink one, I think it would suit you.” Nora said.

She honestly didn’t care much for this topic as there was so much going on in her life. Her cat had torn up favorite blanket yesterday, her dad had eaten her leftovers that she was very much looking forward to eating after school today, and she had to work on a partner project today.

SHIT, she forget that she needed to meet up with her biology partner, Samuel, to work on a project. They had planned to meet at the library at 11:30.

“What’s the time?” Nora asked her friend group.

Amira looked down at her phone screen and replied “11:39.”

“Guys I totally blanked and forgot I needed to meet my bio partner. I gotta go. See you guys later.”

Nora quickly grabbed her backpack and threw away her tea. She waved goodbye to her friends and headed out the door. She quickly walked to the library, she hoped Samuel was still there. As she approached the library out of the corner of her eye she spotted Alejandro talking to his friend Cristian by the stairs. Alejandro met her gaze and for a moment they locked eyes, there was an unspoken connection. Nora was so lost in her gaze that she had not seen that she was about to run into a person.

She collided straight into a guy and immediately fell backwards and one of her folders fell out of her backpack. The guy she ran into turned out to be Hugo, one of Jorge’s friends.

“Are you alright Nora?” he asked and offered her a hand to get back up.

“Yeah, sorry about that I should’ve been more careful.” She accepted his hand and stood up.

Hugo looked down and said, “So I was wondering if Cris had said..”

Nora cut him off, “wish I could stay and talk, but I have to go.”

Nora entered the library and her eyes scanned the tables for Samuel and found him sitting at one of the tables in the back. She walked to the table and took a seat next to him.

“So sorry I’m late, I totally forgot.” Nora said.

“Its fine I was just coming up with ideas on how we could show the differences of Prokaryotes and Eukaryotes.” He responded with a smile. Samuel had a crush on Nora, but she was oblivious to his feelings.

“I was thinking we could create a model of the different types of cells so that the the differences could be very apparent.”

Samuel nodded, “Good idea,” he took a long deep breath, “Nora I was wondering if you wanted to hang out on Saturday?”

“Sure I mean creating the models will take a long time and I think I have enough materials at my house.” Nora said, unaware of Samuel’s true intentions.

“Well actually I was thinking of it being more of a non-school thing?” Samuel said, he could feel his face turn red and was anxious to hear Nora’s response.

Nora was confused on what Samuel meant by a non-school thing, “Samuel, I don’t understand-” Nora was cut off by the sound of a chair being pulled across the floor right next to her.

Alejandro had pulled a chair from another table and had set it down right by Nora. Taking a seat he smiled and looked right at Nora.

“Hello,” he said keeping his gaze directed at Nora acting like Samuel wasn’t even present at the table.

“Alejandro can you not do this right now I’m kind of busy at the moment.” Nora said she did not need Alejandro’s antics today.

Samuel was very distraught by the way Alejandro was looking at Nora or the fact he had still not broken his gaze since he had taken a seat next to her.

“What are you working on?” Alejandro asked Nora.

“It doesn’t matter, can you please let us get back to work,” she sarcastically smiled, “thank you.”

Alejandro looked down at Nora’s paper, “Biology, I took that last year I can help if you want?”

He looked back at Nora who was looking at him and for a couple of seconds they just stared back at each other, Nora’s expression softened to a slight smile which only made Alejandro smile wider. Samuel was unsure of what was currently happening and felt as if in this moment he was invisible to Nora, God he hated whoever this guy was.

“Excuse me dude, she asked you to leave so how about you go.” Samuel gave Alejandro his best tough guy look.

“Listen I don’t know who you are but how about you go.” Alejandro only gave this guy a split second of his attention before focusing back on Nora.

Samuel got angry and raised his voice “Hey I was here first-” he was then shushed by half of the people in the library.

Nora felt embarrassed she needed for either Alejandro or Samuel to leave. She made a quick decision and turned towards Samuel.

“Hey how about we meet up later and work on the project.” Nora said to Samuel with a polite smile.

“But I was-”

“I think it would be for the best.” Nora said.

“Whatever.” Samuel packed up his things and headed for the library doors. He turned to find Alejandro smiling victoriously. Samuel let out a grunt and walked out the doors.

Alejandro looked back at Nora and gave her a smug look.

Nora knew exactly what Alejandro was currently thinking, “Don’t act like you won or that I choose you or something.” Nora looked away that was exactly what she did and she knew it.

Alejandro grinned,“I may not have won the war but I definitely just won a battle.”

Nora rolled her eyes, “What did you want anyway?”

“Two things. One, I wanted to show you this,” he reached in his backpack and pulled out a paper. “Take a look.” He smiled proudly.

Nora took the paper and gave him a questioning look. She unfolded it and found that it was a English test. Alejandro had got an 84, she felt genuinely proud of him.

She turned to him and said, “I knew you could do it. You know you’re better at English than you think.” She returned the paper back to him.

He put it back into his backpack, “Well I couldn’t have done it without your help. You are an excellent tutor.”

Nora smiled, “I am, aren’t I.”

Alejandro laughed and so did Nora. Nora thought that in these moments between her and Alejandro things were so simple, she was just a girl and he was just a guy. But the sound of the bell brought her back into the harshness of reality.

“I have to go to class.” Nora said and she quickly put her things back into her backpack and stood up.

Alejandro stood up with her, “Let me walk you to class.”

Nora protested, “My class is all the way up on the third floor.”

Alejandro grinned, “so is mine.”

“How convenient,” Nora jokingly rolled her eyes.

Nora made them take the back staircase. She found conversation to come very naturally with Alejandro. This worried her as she saw him in this new light that she had previously convinced herself that she would not see him in.

“How was your weekend?” Alejandro asked.

“Actually, not the best my cat ripped up my favorite blanket.”

“Yeah I know how that can be I have a cat as well.”

Nora stopped in her tracks, “You have a cat?!”

Alejandro smiled, “Yeah, it was my sister’s cat though.”

Great Nora thought another thing she liked about Alejandro.

They had arrived at Nora’s classroom. “Well I guess I’ll see you around then.” Nora said.

Alejandro realized something, “I almost forgot,” he reached into his backpack and handed Nora one of her folders. “You dropped it outside the library.”

“Thanks.” Nora said and put it safely back in her backpack.

Alejandro grinned, “Goodbye Nora.” He walked past her to his classroom.

Nora walked in her class, but then she stopped and looked back to see Alejandro walking down the stairs. He had lied about his class being on the third fool, he had gone out of his way just to walk Nora to class. Nora sighed and walked into her classroom.

Monday 17:23

Nora was doing homework on her bed. She had just finished her math homework and now all she had left to do was a history worksheet. She reached inside for her history folder, it was the one she dropped outside the library. She opened it to find a post-it note on top of her history homework. She took it off and examined the writing. The note said:

𝙉𝙤𝙧𝙖 𝙛𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙮𝙤𝙪’𝙧𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙪𝙡 -𝘼𝙡𝙚𝙟𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙧𝙤

Nora smiled wider than she ever had before. Nobody had ever called her beautiful, besides her parents, but that didn’t really count. Nora opened up her nightstand drawer and put the note underneath her book. The note solidified the feelings Nora had tried to hide and not to admit to herself to before. She then lied on her bed and took a long deep breath and said to herself in a whispered tone, “I like Alejandro.”
