OC_tober Days 1+2: For October, Imma focus on doing daily arts for my nonTF OCs (I know, not what people want to see But Fear Not, am working on several TF stuff too).

Okay so this is probably the most complete thing I'll do for OCs this month lol! Made a lil rough illustration concept for my robot story, ARTEU.

The premise of ARTEU is that its a hundred or so years after humanity was brought to its downfall by being at war with another and robots took over the world and restructured everything and fixed problems like global warming, food water scarcity, poverty, corrupt businesses, etc etc. Its lil stories that explore what life means for the humans and robots that coexist in that world, where sapient robots hit technological singilarity but have no real goals or aspirations, and humans live more equitable peaceful lives but crave for the what ifs and want to take risks, and how both deal with the past. Its pretty slice of life, the dark edgy scifi concepts being in backstory.

My main issue with this story is that since most of the robots have no face or body expressions it has to be a comic aaaa

The three cut out characters are my OCs, EQUIIS, HL-RZR, and RIVO. They are the main peeps I like the most. EQUIIS is a lil 3 ft environmental analysis robot who loves nature, anime, and furry stuff. HL-RZR is a 10ft tall bot who has a brutal past and is one of the Robot Council members that oversee the world. And RIVO is a lanky 5ft bot who was formerly a mining drone, now given sentience and spends time goofing off.

Doktor, halp, I was looking for our Thriller show and I clicked this and now I'm having band feels and I'm crying

I normally hate to make posts like this, but this article was in my local newspaper this morning.

Now, I attend to a lot of military ceremonies throughout the year and usually some civilian or high officer will end the speech part by saying, "and God bless America, the greatest country in the world!"

When that happens I just want to storm the stage and ask, "What are we the greatest at? No, don't tell me your brainwashed patriotism. Show me the statistics: what are we the greatest at? Education? No. Health care? No. Rights? Certainly not. Technologic production? Uh-uh. Show me the statistics that say what makes America the greatest country or shut up."

Yes, we do have the ability to say we hate our government and our leader and we won't be kidnapped without warning and killed behind closed doors...but how does that one fact make this country I reside in the greatest one in the world?

But of course, storming the stage wouldn't be maintaining a military bearing. And the last thing I need is a dishonorable discharge that employers can find.
