"The two Sylvari from the other Tree. To be honest, I don't know what I think of them- they are an enigma, at least to us emerged from the Pale Tree. I have been around for a lot longer than most Sylvari you run into, thus change is... different. I find myself curious about their Tree. I wonder if it is as... 'benevolent'... as the Pale Mother, or if it is similar to the dragon. If it is similar to Mordremoth, I wonder how these Sylvari from it became like us and not Mordrem? It is a mystery I want to solve, though I doubt I will ever get answers.
Nisha seems like an honest person, someone you can trust. Though, I find myself... saddened. I commend xem for stepping up and taking on the Pact's burden, no matter how long or little it lasted. It is a curse I wouldn't wish on anyone. Relethen reminds me of my brother, oddly enough. I feel the two of them might bond over their shared adoration of Trahearne. It's endearing.
I do wish I could get to know them, but... part of me thinks they'd be scared of me. After all, to everyone, I only embody that damned Elder Dragon now." She glares off to the side, obviously upset. After a long period of silence, she sighs. "So I will keep my distance. It's better that way."

Something that has been floating around in my head for a long time but I don't think I've actually voiced is how much being haunted is a theme of Nisha's story.
Xe spends so much of xyr "childhood" time in Maguuma (pre- personal story) trying to pretend xe doesn't have emotions, doesn't have moments of weakness, doesn't make mistakes. Xe is haunted by all those that xe does have, that xe does make. It's the result of xyr mother's less than stellar attempts to help xem prepare for the world xe will face someday.
Xe and xyr brother then flee into the Silverwastes upon losing their mother. Xe's struggles with the loss make xem overprotective and terrified of losing Rel, too, to the point that he has to leave on his own to help both of them heal.
Xe makes friends in the Priory and learns to open up a little, and then loses one of them within that same year at Claw Island. Xe spends the rest of the time leading up to Victory or Death at xyr remaining friend's side, helping xyr brother and new companions while trying to make sure xe doesn't lose anyone else.
Xe goes on more adventures, helps to save the world again--and starts falling in love. Xyr feelings terrify xem, and xe has to actively work not to pull away and run. Xe falls deeper, and it starts being a little less scary.
Xe figures out that the truth of the origin of sylvari is a secret that the Pale Tree's children don't know. Xe tells xyr friends, but it's too late, and the fleet carrying xyr brother and xyr best friend is torn from the sky over the jungle.
And xe is terrified, again.
And furious.
Nothing like getting an opportunity to haunt your first ghost, right?
(These days, xe is deeply and openly in love. Xe's still in touch with xyr best friend. Xe has children, both firsts in their own ways. And xe writes stories, both real and fictional. It helps manage the ghosts.)

For Nisha: how does Kerra act around Canach?
Nisha blinks and stares at you for a second before the corner of xyr mouth quirks up a little. "How does Lin act around--why ask me?"
You stay and wait for an answer, so Nisha just tilts xyr head back and to the right, indicating where Kerra and Canach are talking. You can't hear what they're saying, but Kerra has the expression of someone who is simultaneously intently focused on whatever's being discussed, incredibly endeared, and approximately two seconds from laughing. Canach has the expression of someone who fully intended to cause all those emotions and is a little self-satisfied about it.
"She acts happy," Nisha says, xyr smile widening slightly as xe glances back at the two of them. "What did you expect?"

🖊 - I think I've mentioned this in passing before a long time ago, but Nisha was (alongside Laranthir and the others) the one in charge of the assault on the Mouth of Mordremoth. Xe threw absolutely everything xe had into that fight and was incredibly instrumental in the Pact's victory. It was also a hell of an accidental audition for the Marshal position.
🖊 - Nisha's engineering techniques tend to be some amalgamation of what xe learned "growing up" alongside the Itzel, what xe read about in the Priory upon getting there, and various smaller things that xe picked up from working with Cio/other engineers in the Pact. They're therefore somewhat unorthodox but they work--it's the same specific vibe as someone doing the addition of 45 and 67 in a different way than you but still ending up with 112. Xe's also very well-versed in various poisons from the Maguuma Jungle because of xyr background and often uses them in xyr weapons--plenty of poisonous/toxic darts.
🖊 - Cio (alongside Nisha and a few other Pact members) roughly follows the Hunters and Prey storyline--the bit of the level 80 PS that starts with going after the missing Pact squad. Kekt, one of the members of the search party, was an old friend of Cio's from the Priory. They weren't always on the same wavelength (he was a lot more cautious than both Cio and Sieran, for one thing), but they were friends regardless, and losing yet another person so close on the heels of losing Sieran was particularly rough.
🖊 - Cio runs into Casca and Brook before Ari does. She and Ari are not always working on the same mission or in the exact same place, even if they're both doing work for the Pact/their respective orders in the same general area, and this is one of those times. Cio ends up meeting them through helping Casca, Brook, and the Olmakhan deal with the storms and Zohaqan, and each party sloooowly figures out the significance of the other. I have various associated shenanigans and drama and story bits related to this (and to Cio and Zohaqan) percolating in my mind.

Thinking about Nisha, Cio, and Sieran tonight.
Cio adored learning and joined the Priory to have a place to do that. Sieran was endlessly curious and often impulsive. Nisha was learning about Tyria and learning how not to overthink.
Cio and Sieran knew each other for three years before Nisha arrived at the Priory with xyr brother. Cio and Sieran were in a romantic relationship, and Nisha wasn't with them that way, but xe never felt unwanted or left out in the friendship the three of them had.
Sieran helped break down Nisha's walls, and Nisha helped temper her. Cio gave Nisha a place to learn and someone to do it with, and Nisha gave Cio someone who was not only willing to work with her but excited to do so. Cio and Sieran were each other's first loves and each other's second time finding home. Cio and Sieran were Nisha's first true friends besides Rel.
They all knew each other for a year and a half before Claw Island.
Nisha had to drag Cio onto the ship to leave.
Both of them would have rather stayed.

For Kerra and Nisha, what are some pet peeves you have about your partners?
Nisha looks at Kerra, who looks like she's thinking way too hard about this, and just says in an incredibly deadpan tone, "Nach leaves his shield in front of the closet and Lin never wears matching socks."
Kerra's pulled out of her thoughts and starts laughing. "What??"
"You don't! And I never know if we've entirely lost one of the socks or if it has been paired with one of yours somehow--"
"I like to mix up the patterns! No one can see them but me most of the time, and it's fun--"
"Then do it with your socks, but not mine!"
Kerra gets a mischievous look on her face. "So you don't want me to borrow your clothes, then?"
Nisha's glow flares, and xe hides xyr face in xyr hands. Muffled, xe says, "Not my socks!"
Kerra leans over and kisses xem on the cheek, and though xe keeps xyr face mostly hidden, xe leans into it. "Okay, love."
There's silence for a second, and then Kerra starts. "Oh! I didn't answer. Uh. Nach keeps putting my boots away in weird places, and you still insist on handwashing all the dishes at home."
Nisha's head jolts up. "I need to make sure that jade tech dishwasher works correctly and I haven't had the chance yet!"
"Yao promised me they looked it over. And we're not dealing with the Void anymore."
Xe sighs. "I'll set it up as soon as we get back home. I promise."
There's a pause, and a more somber mood falls over both of them. Nisha leans xyr head on Kerra's and says to you in a very final tone of voice, "I hope that answers your question."

Nisha definitely likes Trahearne--which is good, considering he's more or less xyr brother-in-law by this point. Xe interacted with Trahearne during the PS a little, which was more than enough for xem to recognize someone else with the weight of expectation on their shoulders, and they've gotten to know each other better over the years since then as well. He gave xem tips and some support when xe took on the Marshal position, and the two of them absolutely will just sit together and read/write things in silence sometimes, which is very enjoyable for both of them honestly. Xe might help him put together some sort of compilation of all the information on Orr he's gathered over the years someday, if he ever wants to do that.
Cio's thoughts on the Council? Short and sweet for this one--they're ineffective at best and harmful at worst and they lean toward the latter. She's not a fan and does not trust them as far as she could throw them.

📂 - Nisha has strong opinions on which fonts (like Times New Roman, Garamond, etc.--or the Tyrian equivalents) are superior and is more than willing to argue (mostly lightheartedly) about it.
📂 - I'm not the only person to have this opinion/thought/headcanon (and I just saw someone else on here talking about it recently). But while the Soundless didn't have the protection of the Dream/Nightmare, the fact that their entire way of life involves working tirelessly to keep things out of their minds that they don't want was absolutely a boon, and they were far from defenseless against Mordremoth.
📂 - Somewhere in Tyria, there's one of those little dispenser machines, and kids can put in a couple copper to get a figurine of someone from Destiny's Edge or Dragon's Watch. The figurines are cheap and not the highest quality, but the kids love them.

🖊 - Nisha's gotten at least a couple things written/published (something fictional, short, and aimed at children, and the first part of the history xe's trying to write down of a bunch of Tyria's major events in the past 10-ish years) by the time EoD starts. Xe eventually gives the library in Arborstone a couple of copies of the historical one, upon request of one of the librarians.

7. Describe the shoes they’re wearing.
Boots, mostly--well-kept but not shiny. Either leather or something similar, but it's not clear unless you took a closer look. Xe has dark brown and dark grey ones that xe wears on a regular basis. Also, fun fact, Nisha's already tall and xe will absolutely wear boots with heels to whatever parties xe goes to for no other reason than to Specifically be Extra Tall because it's fun :)
9. What is their favorite holiday?
Wintersday! Nisha's a big fan of peppermint, for one, but the general vibes of the whole thing are also very much xyr favorite.
10. What objects do they always carry around with them?
Xyr pistols and sword, a story notebook (still on pen and paper), xyr jade golem (which xe specifically built to be compactible), and two "coins" with pressed flowers in them (one's passiflora, one's lavender).
