please look at this manga and read it because i have been going so insane over it
"I WANT TO MAKE THE LOSING HEROINE WIN" IS A ONESHOT AND I AM AWARE OF THE FACT THAT IT'S A ONESHOT. I AM SO AWARE THAT IT WILL NEVER RECEIVE A CONTINUATION. I KNOW THIS. IT HAS BEEN TWO YEARS SINCE THE ONESHOT WAS TRANSLATED INTO ENGLISH AND I HAVE LOST HOPE IN IT EVER BECOMING SERIALIZED.
and yet.
i love it. so much.
the premise is like "background character in a love triangle romcom is cheering on the childhood friend and her attempts to win over the protag," as a spoof of how the kind and gentle childhood almost never gets with the protag in harem manga.
and like it seems like a meta commentary manga with nothing to it but meta jokes AND YET
THE MAIN CHARACTER IS SO ECCENTRIC AND WACKY THAT YOU CAN'T HELP BUT FIND HIM HILARIOUS... HE'S SO INSANE AND HIGH ENERGY THAT YOU LOVE HIM.
meanwhile the losing heroine in question...
she is literally so fucking cute. she is so good in every frame.
the two play off of each other so well and it's so entertaining to see their antics and AAAAAAAAAAAAA.
and like it's not just comedy! they're not just FUNNY together, the story goes ahead and makes their relationship so sweet...!
EVEN THOUGH SHE HERSELF HAS ACCEPTED THAT SHE HAS NO CHANCE OF WINNING HER CRUSH'S HEART, EVEN THOUGH SHE WANTS TO HIDE HER PAIN WITH A SMILE, HE DECLARES THAT SHE DESERVES A CHANCE TO BE HAPPY...
kimura sees how kind manaka is, how she always puts others before herself, and declares that she deserves to put herself first and take her own happiness. he wants to make her happy.
because he's just like her in wanting to put the happiness of the person he loves first. he doesn't care if it breaks his own heart as long as manaka is happy.
and you just go insane upon a reread because ALL THE SIGNS HE LOVES HER WERE THERE FROM THE START
HE GOES ALL OUT IN PRAISING HER AND EMPHASIZING THAT SHE'S LOVABLE AND CUTE
THE WAY HE WAS ALWAYS PAYING SPECIAL ATTENTION TO MANAKA EVEN BEFORE THEY MADE THEIR DEAL...
he's acting awkward after being invited out by his crush,,,
and i'm losing it over this callback
the first time you see "the world isn't interested in me" you think it's because he's still talking about the world being a romcom focused on the one guy... you don't notice that it's said as he's noticing manaka making her entrance...
but the second time... it's obvious that "the world isn't interested in me"... actually means "manaka isn't interested in me".... and he accepts it just the same.
please please please please please i am so insane over these guys PLEASE read this and think about them too

i actually have all 7 volumes that have been released in the spanish print! www but there was like a year long gap between volumes 4 and 5 in which i forgot everything i had read, yet kept buying the new releases and not reading them slkdjmsjkdlskmd shirahama kamome's art is too good to pass on, it's influenced me a lot
so, technically, in this rereading/catching up im doing now, im on chapter 13? the 3rd volume lol
