Nichijou no HEARTLESS: Entire Season 1 Synopsis

Episode 1: Nichijou no Heartless/Cherry Bomb!
A quiet day at home leads Freia to checking in on her family to see how they’re handling the boredom!/Freia’s cherry gumdrop stash has mysteriously vanished! It’s up to her and Melissa to find out where it went as Freia does her best to not cave into her heart-cravings!
Episode 2: There’s No Place like Home/Oh, There’s Two of Them!
A long day out running errands is proving to wear out Freia to where she’s hoping for home!/From one manor and right into another, Freia and her family go over to visit her bestie, Erin, at her manor with her family!
Episode 3: Honeypot Honey/The Cool Aunt
The Spring thaw really wires up Melissa! Freia must make it through the day as she is ambushed at every corner for her honeybee’s libido!/Freia is asked to babysit for her bestie and the kiddos are alright! Well, mostly. They’re definitely a handful or two!
Episode 4: Bubble Bubble/Movie Magic
Freia dips a day into her side-hustle, for fun, and decides to fill out a few alchemical requests from the locals./Freia is pulled aside by her niece, Mallow, to help her film a home movie! They have to fill their cast and proceed to lights, camera and action!
Episode 5: The Frog Prince...ss?/Stop and Smell the Roses
Freia decides to hit up an old friend of Erin and hers, Kero, and the three of them have an interesting day out together./A day in after their day out, they all get to spend some personal time with Kero and her family, being her husband, Axl, and their daughter, Amaya.
Episode 6: Once Upon a Time Part 1/Once Upon a Time Part 2
After a movie marathon night with the family, Freia turns in for the night and has a fantastical dream that seems to have and her family fill the roles of some of the movies they saw that night!/Soon enough the dream of Freia’s daughter, Jackie, wanting to explore the world around her comes into view. A parallel of a movie where parents should talk with their children about serious enough topics and trusting them to do so alone while making sound decisions.
Episode 7: Slime Time/Which Witch?
Freia decides that is a goopy kind of day and it’s time to be a slime!/Halloween time! Freia and the fellow older ladies of the two houses have a mean trick to show bullies who have ruined the kiddos’ holiday.
Episode 8: That Magic Number/Two Can be as Bad as One
The summer heat is intense, so Freia needs to do her best to last the whole day as others try their best to steal her away for cooling them off for the day./Freia decides to spend the day with her bestie, Erin, and they make it everyone else’s problem.
Episode 9: Pornucopia/Toil and Trouble
Freia decides today is a good day to have a revolving door of lovely ladies in and out of her home for some good times!/Freia tries her hand at a new recipe in her alchemy list, leading to surprising results!
Episode 10: Jackie of All Trades/It’s Not a Family Without You...
Freia and Melissa reflect on the time spent together that led to Jackie’s conception and eventual birth, as well as the early days of motherhood./The other daughters of Freia and Melissa share stories with Jackie about how their mothers found and adopted them.
Episode 11: Loungin’ Lady/Snow Day!
Freia decides she wants a hobby that gets her out of the house more, so she heads to town and tries out a few jobs and hobbies for the perfect fit!/It’s Christmas time! However, it’s an unusually warm day. Freia and her friends decide to improvise their White Christmas!
Episode 12: Surprise!
Freia’s friends and family are throwing a surprise party for her! It is Melissa and Jackie’s job to keep her preoccupied until everything is ready! However, Freia also has a surprise she’s ready to share with them all, as well...

2.) mythic quest (the first episode was GOLD and ashly burch in particular, to me, is a standout)
3.) healer girl (one of the best shows on crunchyroll right now and it's SOOOOOO underrated)

6.) nichijou (this show always picks me up when i'm down)

Tone tags are not your punchline.
Tone tags like “/j” “/srs” etc are accessibility tools. They help neurodivergent people understand the explicit tone of written text that would otherwise be only implicit and therefore difficult for us to understand. If you use tone tags in a joking or disingenuous manner, you’re not only going to end up confusing a lot of people, but it’s also just plain ableist to make a joke out of an accessibility tool, something that a lot of us rely on to understand and communicate with people online.
Especially considering the whole point of tone tags is for them to be used in the most genuine, accurate manner possible, someone knowingly misusing them just means they’re doubling down on their ableist disregard for neurodivergent people who might read it.
If you post something somewhere as a joke but end it with a “/srs,” fix it. Delete it. Don’t do it again. Tone tags are not your punchline.

My favorite episodes of spongebob are the ones were spongebob gets genuinely pissed off. Like, spongebob is a character who only rarely gets angry, and only for good reasons after being pushed too far, and it's fucking iconic when he does. The episode where squidward quits his job and crashes at spongebob's house and ends up bossing him around, when spongebob fucking loses it at the end of the episode, it's the best thing. I feel that. "LISTEN YOU CRUSTACEOUS CHEAPSKATE-" while ringing krabs's neck. King shit.

Overall impression:
fairly relaxed. Yanma and Jeramie didn't outright fight because Jeramie is too OP at the moment, but a lot of decent character moments. Shiokara is MVP honestly. Love the whole mood in Yanma's flashback as conveyed by the camera work and insert song. Rita shots are scarce but (4, as I exactly expected). I've been watching stage shows lately (just to fill the void) and with how tight the plot in KO is, kinda miss the MOTW format and this ep is refreshing to see.

! yes wanting to know how Himeno's revenge plot would resolve ever since learing about Jeramie's cicada mech!

What's the next arc if God's Anger is resolved in 14??
We may or may not get Rita origin (but I think their story is more complex than Yanma's flashback this ep, so that could come back again.)
Magazine scans say Jeramie will be in the spotlight but I have no idea what to expect. Some more games with Racles?

A brief recommendation of anime openings
The opening and closing theme songs play such an important role as they identify the hallmark of an anime and also move many anime watchers.
I’ll present ten openings that I consider valuable in my memory (not ranked in order of enjoyment)
10. Again - Yui
OP 1 Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
I started watching FMAB thanks to my brother who listened to ‘Again’ every day for months. The music and the lyrics make you feel perfectly the ambitions and goals of the brothers Edward and Alphonse.

OP 1 Sword Art Online
To be fair, I didn’t finish watching SAO, but if I managed to see some of its episodes it was for the mere fact that Crossing Field was the opening. It's the kind of song that makes you feel like you're the protagonist.

OP 3 Naruto Shippuden
I haven't been able to finish Naruto yet. Still, the reason I started watching it was Blue Bird. This theme song is a perfect balance between the story and the feeling they seek to convey to the viewer.

OP1 S2 Kuroshitsuji
It’s the setting of the anime itself that makes everything so attractive, but the openings play an important role in each season as well, since they play harmonically with the gothic elements so typical of this series.

6. Bye Bye Yesterday - 3 Nen E Gumi Uta Tan
OP2 S2 Assassination Classroom
After accompanying class 3-E for two seasons, it's time to say goodbye. I don't think there’s an opening that manages to encompass everything lived by the characters in such a nostalgic but entertaining way as in this case. Even on my own graduation day I couldn't help but remember it, it's quite memorable.

5. COLORS - FLOW
OP1 Code Geass
COLORS as the opening theme for an anime with such dramatic themes could’ve been a success because it totally misleads the viewer about the tragedies that will occur later in the plot. This song is remembered for the nostalgia that takes us back to the first episodes of Lelouch’s story.

4. PAPERMOON - Tommy heavenly6
OP2 Soul Eater
My favorite Soul Eater opening that also defines one of my favorite arcs. This arc introduces Chrona and covers her growing bond with Maka. The strengthening of the bond of the iconic duos that are presented from the beginning is related to the feeling of fidelity that the song shows in its lyrics.

3. Hyadain no Kakakata Kataomoi-C - Hyadain
OP1 Nichijou
Every time I need a burst of energy and good vibes I watch Nichijou.This specific song really characterizes the mix of nonsense and jokes meticulously embedded in the anime, as well as being a very catchy song.

2. Kamisama Hajimemashita - Hanae
OP1 Kamisama Hajimemashita
If I ever have kids I'll be the kind of mom who gets excited when she hears the Candy Candy opening theme, but with Kamisama Hajimemashita. For some reason this song has helped me find a path to femininity. It's refreshing and tender, it gives me good memories of when I was little.

1. HighSchool - in NO hurry to shout
OP1 Fukumenkei Noise
Fukumenkei Noise is a music anime and its opening consists of one of the main songs of the series. When the band in which the plot revolves changes its vocalist, the person who sings the opening changes to Nino, the protagonist of the story. It’s a detail that makes a big difference for the understanding of the plot that I personally like a lot.

I just finished watching Idoly Pride and holy fuck. I cannot cope, I cried almost the entirety of episodes 9-12. It's just... Incredible. I think I was particularly moved by it since I have a sister of my own. I will write more about it in a full review tomorrow but for now I'm gonna watch Danishikokosei no Nichijou and try to make my face not hurt

1/ Princes Arete (2001)
I was sold on this movie under the premise that it's similar to Kino no Tabi.
and… it is. kinda. Kino and Arete would be cool pals.
Every character is interesting, which seems rare(?)
Only real drawback: the hostage situation kinda really sucked.

2/ Time of EVE (2008/9)
the classic tale: androids indistinguishable from humans as an allegory for racism.
but unlike DBH, this is actually really good.
its a story that feels like a single thread in a vast tapestry that'd be fascinating to explore, but too bad: you only have 6 eps

3/ Spice & Wolf (2008)
i remember loving this show. i don't remember understanding the economics. I took notes this time. I still struggled. (spoilers for ep3)
regardless: wow this is a good show.

absurdly captivating.
i say that it's a miracle that any video game gets made ever.

finally sat down to watch this. it's GOOD. lots of worldbuilding to chew on, and then it picked up quite nicely.

not always a winner, but overall a good mix of laughs and superpower exploration.
21b/ edit to add: oh this was right after Sakamoto! Man. The two feel kind of kindred but Saiki is leagues better at staying fresh.

my expectations were very low and they were VASTLY exceeded!
think this show is at its strongest when exploring characters w short stories, which was most of this.
the ending felt slightly fumbled…i think it couldve rocked me but instead it was just :).

i already played and loved this game, but happened upon About Oliver's playthrough and fell in love again.
truly that is The Most outer wilds playthrough. good lord.

28/ Scott Pilgrim Takes Off (2023)
oh it's like. really good.
i dont remember the movie so i cant compare but this stands well on its own and i love the character exploration, even if i dont like some of the uhh… what would you call that? scifi jokes? (spoiler territory soz)

29/ Land of the Lustrous (2017)
FLOORED by how much I loved this.
qualms about the CG turned into admiration, the shading drawing me into the world.
worries about annoying characters melted away to find admirable layers.
THE USE OF SYMBOLISM kept me SO well fed. and the pacing!
29b/ cont: my only complaint that isn't a nitpick: i hate how it left so, so, so many threads loose. i faceplanted my dashboard during the decelerating pace between the first 10 eps and the final 2. i get that it's from an ongoing manga but that still felt maximum bummer.
