Inktober day 2 "scurry"
I decided to mix fanart and inktober art. Took me 8 hours, but that was worth it😁.
I always wanted to make fan art of one of the works of #neytirix . She is one of my biggest inspirations. I always trying to learn her art style ,but this time I finally decided to make a fanart.
For those who likes creepy/gore stuff you should go watch her work! She even have a mini series on her Youtube channel (witch you can see in my fanart). Believe me you'll love it (if of course you like that sort of stuff)

So I haven’t played Among us however if you like it then that’s fine. What’s NOT fine is stealing somebody’s fanart and cropping out their watermark just so you can make a meme out of it. As the case here;
These were originally created by an artist who goes by @neytirix, whose an amazing artist may I add. They have spent about hours to create these pieces of fan art and they don’t deserve that!

From conducting all my research it helped with my project as I wanted to include character sheets as the chapter breaks which I eventually scrapped due to time restraints which was based on the ones seen in my hero academia created which is a manga series created by Kohei Horikoshi and when I created a survey and distributed it via teams that had different sketches I only got 3 responses which meant that I couldn’t get a varied result and know what the class wanted
Another manga artist which I researched into was the artist for blue dragon and dragon ball, Akira Toriyama as my project was eventually based on blue dragon i knew that I needed to look more into Toriyama and see how he produces his artwork in which he draws them on paper with ink and pens which is similar to how Horikoshi drew deku, My hero academia’s main character, on a video which I watched
Some artists which I looked into but didn't research futher was frank miller and James stokoe as I felt that their styles didn't fit with my specific project and the target audience however if I was to do another comic I would consider looking at their artwork and style again to see if it inspires the comic
I research into Ami shibata’s blue dragon manga which was in full Japanese and didn't make sense to me and I didn't like the art style for some of the characters as it strayed away from their original designs but I like how she included the characters from the original series as well as her own character which was made to fit into the blue dragon universe and futher helped with deciding that i should add my own character into my manga for someone to follow and help with some of the gaps in the story.
Neytirix is an artist who takes a series/film such as frozen, Teletubbies and more and makes a twisted version which she speed paints and uploads to YouTube with copyright free music and although her style is a bit too dark for blue dragon the way she draws is both calming and the style elements could be transferred to other artworks and creations
Also whilst scrolling through the blue dragon tag on fan pop I found 3 panels from a fan made comic which I don't know if they are by the same artist or by different artists but I felt like the 3 pages had the style and feel like it had been pulled from the show and made into a comic and sadly I cant find the creator of them to see if they have made anymore pages or content from blue dragon
I was pretty lucky with my project as it wasn't affected by covid-19 and my research was mostly internet based with videos, images and search the internet for the English dub of season 2 which I found eventually, however it was on an illegal anime streaming website but it was useful for the dialogue which for flashbacks which I had planned to include in my manga

13.10.2020 - Tuesday Lecture - Criticality 1 Introduction Lecture - I to R of Contemporary Art
This is the second lecture Adam has done about his “A to Z of Contemporary Art”. This week was going from I to R. In addition to the letters of the alphabet, he also briefly went over some ways to help us with the essay. Similarly to last weeks blog entry, I will also be adding in the notes I took from this lecture as not to repeat any points I have previously went over.
Overall, I felt mixed and indifferent about this lecture, again, similarly to last weeks lecture. I didn't connect with J (( Joan Jonas )) as when watching the video about her work Adam showed us, I didst relate to any of her processes or ways of working when thinking about my own artistic practice.

Along with “J”, I also didn't connect or relate to “K” ((Anette Kelm)), “L” ((Leave)), “M” ((Mail)), “N” ((Noise)), “O” ((On)) and “R” ((Relational)) I couldn't find any connection to my own art or personal life through these points and artists, along with them generally loosing my interest all together. This is because as a result of that, I ended up sketching instead, as I found this actually helped keep my interest while my brain still listened and took in the information it was hearing.
The two points I did find that connected both with my personal life and art practice was “I” ((Instagram)) and “P” ((Paper)). This is because I both use Instagram for my own artwork and to find others that inspire me. I additionally often use paper as my go to surface for drawing; whether its taking notes, sketching quick ideas or doing full pieces. My own Instagram is:

All of these artists are from the Contemporary Art Movement and are all currently still living. They are all main inspirations for my art that can all be found on Instagram. They all additionally do their own digital art pieces, which heavily relates to the development of my art practice as I want to try and improve my digital art skills, both with sketching and fully rendering and painting.
Another thing about all of their pieces that heavily relates to my work is how they chose to create their pieces. Apart from them all fitting into the Contemporary art movement, they all create their pieces how and when they want to. They never base any of their pieces around politics or society. They find inspirations they want; weather it be from games like “Among Us” with Neytirix’s piece, or from an art prompt like “Monstober” with Remerin’s piece. I will definitely be using all of these artists when considering my artwork to use for my 3000 word essay.

What is your fucking deal with trying to sell me soap and shampoo and razors?
Is it that I ignore your every attempt to tell me about politics?
Is it because you think that making art or music or playing video games is somehow dirty?
Or is it because I’ve watched several videos condemning Cats (2019) because I’m never planning on watching it but it is rather entertaining to watch actors, musicians and theatre critics condemn the movie since I know and am a fan of the original show it is based on and resultantly agree with many of the points they make? Is that it? Do you feel that I need to be cleansed of the imagery and are trying to reach my inner psyche with a constant bombardment of soap?
Ffs, I’m just trying to watch Neytirix and then go to bed right now and you are interfering with your constant attack of ads.
