I sewed a pirate shirt to wear to the @newyorkrenaissancefaire for my birthday yesterday! I followed @morgandonner's updated Elizabethan shift tutorial! I made a couple changes - pleats instead of gathers, as little hand sewing as I could manage, and hip-length instead of floor-length - but otherwise followed it pretty closely! For a first ever sewn garment, it turned out great!
