Taggecko 🦎⁣ Geckos haben an den Zehen spezielle «Haftpolster». Deren gröbste Struktur, die Lamellen, kann man bei genauem Hinschauen noch von blossem Auge als Rippen oder Linien erkennen. Sie alleine reichen zum Haften aber noch nicht aus. Denn was erst unter dem Mikroskop sichtbar wird: Auf jeder einzelnen Lamelle hat es Tausende allerfeinster Borsten oder Härchen. Sie sind nur gerade so lang, wie ein Menschenhaar etwa dick ist. Und an ihrem Ende teilen sich diese Härchen nochmals hundertfach in unvorstellbar kleine Plättchen auf. My spring walks and the flowers I obsessively collect are now preserved the way I know best - encapsulated between the sheer tulle layers of a dress! Forget-me-nots, buttercups, daisies, dandelions, cherry blossom and violets pressed and positioned. The dress itself cobbled from small squares and scraps of fabric that always too good to throw away.
