😍 It may look like a nebula was trapped inside a gemstone, but this cosmic cloud is actually a botryoidal jasper formation. This means little particles of dust or sand were present when the jasper was forming inside the Oregon contra luz opal, causing it to bubble as it set.  ​. Idolomantis diabolica, otherwise known as the Devil’s Flower Mantis, can be found on the eastern side of Africa. Able to mimic flowers and dead leaves as a form of camouflage, this mantis is also known for the deimatic display that it initiates when it feels threatened. When scared, the Devil’s Flower Mantis will raise its front legs, expose bright patterns on the bottom of its abdomen and thorax and shift its colorful wings back and forth to startle predators.
