despite loving being trans i always do long to having boy teenage years/upbringing. But. im also autistic. i think that even if i was AMAB i wouldnt have gotten that classic boy life. that realization both deepens the grief yet relieves the feeling because i know that that wouldnt have been me anyway.

Just had the thought "ruby ball cacti are the French Bulldog of succulents" and I'm so right

#I thought 'well at least I've never killed a cactus' (because I have had several succulents die on me)#and then I remembered actually yes I have killed a cactus #but it was a stupid little ruby ball which is basically the french bulldog of cacti #literally theyre a fucked up mutant cactus grafted onto another completely different cactus so it doesn't immediately die #I repotted it and it died immediately #if you can't tell I did not choose this plant my parents got it for me and I secretly always thought it was ugly 🤣#did not kill it on purpose though it was still a bit sad but ah well rip freak of nature #draco speaks #btw so far I have had two full colonies of sempervivum die and one where the main plant died but I saved the shoots (so far)#i am the world's worst sempervivum grower :( the other one that's died was a lithops :((((#I'm still so sad about my lithops I wanted one so bad and I finally found one and I killed it within months...#need to really look into what care they need if I ever manage to get another one

its always funny to me when ppl say nobody is hiring bc like yeah this is an issue happening rn w fake hiring ads and shit, but its an instant sign to me somebody's a middle class uni student looking for a paying starting job for their field rather than "any" job the want they imply. bc you know who is literally always hiring? cleaning jobs. factory jobs. farm jobs. and i aint gonna lie bc those jobs and the reputation of them can suck. but so does customer service. and yet ppl still think theyre "above" the other careers. lol

#my post #ive said it before and ill say it again: customer service is the way middle class and some rich ppl get a taste of classism and poverty #and they hate it so much theres an entire meme abt why customer service is a uniquely horrible experience or smth.#rather than discussing the classism involved #ppl also dont want those jobs bc of the racialized nature of who gets hired in em and think theyre 'better' than that too #yall dont want any job you want an office job at best and a customer service job at worst.

#i very rarely talk about stuff like this because i tend to be a very personal person on social media but #ive only really just realized that i guess its true most people will let things fade away on purpose if they dont deem the friend important #and that theyre not like me and will be happy to jump right back into conversation after not speaking for years #ill do anything to keep a friendship and im starting to think thats a problem? that its abnormal?#i dont know. ive always been the one reaching out to try to rekindle something. and after so many turn downs and no effort to hold #conversation i really dont have much of an option to assume that its being done on purpose #believe me im really not the type to immediately assume negative intention in fact quite the opposite #which again... i cant really ever tell when im unwanted versus just feeling unwanted #i think the worst thing is that looking back on conversation i wasnt always the best friend. not the best conversation partner #so then naturally ive got to be like... well... youve made your bed‚ i suppose #its really funny how many times in my life ive found myself thinking 'i really wish i had the insight back then that i do now'#unfortunately it was hardly ever a conscious decision i ever made to act like that. but saying i didnt know any better feels like a cop out #i really did try to know better‚ though. growing up felt like violently clawing my way into trying to understand anyone and everything #i dont know. a lot to think about
