oooooh aaroman fact... may have mentioned this bit b4 but UMMMM roman takes them on a trip to paris for aaron's 29th bday :3 aaron is a chef and also a pretentious mfer and he always wanted to go just for the fancy cuisine and all da museums. roman rlly likes traveling w aaron bc he's v adventurous and pushes them both to do random shit that roman might not have thought of on his own <3

After consuming a lot of demon content I have come to present a question

How was Fetch born? Which one of the demons are hell-born and which are (as the clones from Star Wars say) nat-born? Is it any different for them and how their powers work?

(Can I be 🧪 anon if that isn't taken?)

No difference in powers between differently born demons! I like to think that the thing that really determines a demon's power cap is how creative they are with what they can do. Fetch has what could be considered a really weak power(retrieval is kinda specific y'know) but if you're creative and can bend the rules a little it becomes more powerful. Die on the other hand has what on the surface is a really strong power(the ability to kill people) but without knowing how to use it, it kinda loses its punch.

As far as hell-born/nat-born/human-born status is treated, I don't think demons give much of a shit. A demon is a demon is a demon, y'know? As long as you serve hell, you're valid (thumbs up)

Anywayyyyy, here's the "nat-born" status of the current demons

Fetch is a natural born demon! Or as close as a demon can get I guess. I like to think she emerged like aphrodite from the lavas of ill-advised lust and just sauntered into the recruiting office to ask for a job. Born and raised in hell, she has nothing that could be considered a "human" moral code. Which is what sets her apart from other weapon grade demons like Die.

Die is human born, a cursed child born as a demon. For the most part she was raised (as best she could be) by a human mother until she was deemed old enough to join Hell's forces. Hell didn't give her a fucked up moral code or anything, Mares come pre-programmed with that. If anything her mom fucked her up by giving her things like feelings(gross)

Luck is a special case. Another anon(I gotta dig up the ask) suggested she might be a fallen angel, and I love that idea. I think luck is a weird specialty with a lot of crossover, and her propensity for bending the rules didn't really jive with heaven so she was booted to hell. She's been a demon for a long time though and didn't really like being an angel anyway, so don't feel too bad for her.

I imagine Hush is the youngest of the bunch, and probably was a soldier that died and was recruited to Hell's army. Formerly human, now demon. (I think this is also why the other demons like Hush so much, he still smells kinda human)

Price.... Honestly I don't think anyone knows. Price has been around for a looooong time, perhaps as long as humans have wanted things. I think having a handler is new for them, having one they care about anyway. Crazy how humans grow on you...

Garnet: How do both of you feel about soulmates or any kind of belief about being fated to be with someone? Have these opinions about it changed after meeting each other? aaron def believes heavily in soulmates n that kind of stuff. he's always been v romance-oriented and like, obsessed with finding The One. b4 he meets roman he's a bit...discouraged and is reaching the 'OK MAYBE i'm meant 2 die alone whateverrrr fuck this gay earth' point. but u know how these things work, sometimes you gotta stop looking so hard and then the right person will find u. red string of fate and all that...anyway he 100 percent believes roman is his soulmate. he will divulge this information when drunk but otherwise keeps his mouth shut bc he knows he will be made fun of sooooo hard

roman does not necessarily believe in soulmates... too much mushy stuff and magical thinking involved. also i don't think he'd allow himself/even be able to like, meditate on his own feelings abt this stuff for a while. very out of touch w his emotions and it's def a process to untangle and sort through All That. he def teases aaron for it, but deep down is really soft on the fact that someone feels that strongly abt him. idk if he'd ever believe in soulmates per say. Bittersweet Shimmer: How does your f/o feel about romance movies and all those subgenres under it? Do they have any favorites for Valentine's Day?

roman is not a romance or romcom enjoyer. he's def the type to enjoy making fun of movies he thinks r shitty tho, so if they're watching a cheesy romance flick it is Exclusively to dunk on it. aaron would never rlly suggest anything frm the genre bc he doesnt like them either, but maybe pretty woman LMAO

Chocolate Cosmos: If your f/o was talking about you to someone like a close friend, how exactly would they talk about you? How would they describe you? Characterize you? And how often do they talk about you to other people?

this. question was the reason this ask took me so long to answer bc everytime i tried to think abt an answer i just said teehee and kicked my feet and short circuited my own brain

how would roman talk abt aaron...idk how many "close friends" roman even has ( kculk said he was #friendless sorry rome :( ) so this is more like how he would talk to his siblings. anyway aaron is not Really a trophy husband (altho they joke abt it) but when roman talks abt aaron its mostly to flex abt how Cool he is. it strokes his ego a little to know he was able to pull a Cool Hot Guy.

roman is also very...repressed. not a strong sense of individuality or identity really. so he appreciates how weird and authentic aaron is. he really admires aaron's confidence

assuming their relationship is public and roman is able to actually talk about aaron + he works thru a little bit of that Repression . i think he would talk abt aaron a fair bit! i mean, he would be bound to come up in conversations sometimes bc like. thats his partner and a lot of his anecdotes involve aaron. but i do think he brings him up to acquaintances unprompted a fair bit.

oooh cool question!!! roman would have just followed canon trajectory i think. chewed up and spit out by the company. still as repressed as always. sippin that martini post-canon. i think shiv and roman have a decent relationship post canon but. i am unsure if ken ever forgives them for that boardroom scene. aaron...i have no clue! def worse off bc he never gets sugarbabied to hell and back. probably just perma-broke trying to pay off art school loans. also taking the time to understand roman/being w someone who understands his trauma and shit also helps him emotionally in ways he doesn't even know. so. he likely ends up continuing to have weird short and turbulent relationships.

Who whispers inappropriate things in the other’s ear?

both of them. constantly. especially when it's SOOOO not appropriate to do so. do not sit next to these fuckers at a roy family function unless u wanna risk overhearing something that might shake ur faith.

How do they celebrate holidays?

big holidays r split between aarons fam and romans fam ! aaron muscles thru roy family holidays, while roman is bewildered and intrigued by all of aaron's friend's traditions!! aaron is a FREAK abt halloween so roman is REQUIRED to attend his house's halloween party IN COSTUME !! which he does. of course. also aaron nuclear bombs rome w valentines day propaganda which roman tooootally thinks is stupid....(he def brings the little chocolates and shit w him to work and keeps a stupid handmade valentine in his wallet....whatever)

Who’s the better cook?

aaron is a professional chef ! and roman is a billionare who i do not think could prepare a box of mac and cheese without looking around confused at least once. having a personal chef and caterers his whole life has definitely rotted his brain. aaron does the cooking For Sure
