Ok, I admit I made this monstrosity using the ink drop/overlay method. My idea was to make some interesting headers for my the 100 mobile/theme. I used this tutorial:
Ink drop gif tutorial by @epiclivwell
This resulted b/c i used a texture w/ a black background instead of a white one. I still think it’s kinda neat, so I saved it.
Anyway, I went back and followed the instructions exactly and made these:
I haven’t posted any of these on my the 100 blog b/c I don’t have much to say about these moments other than I used this method. Plus, I need to get my resolutions down before they’re presentable as a desktop header. However, I was able to use what I learned to create this Good Omens post:
The Four Horsemen
The first three gifs in this set were easy, since the title overlays were already in the material. However, I had to manufacture a similar gif for Death, since his title occurred a couple shots after his last appearance. So, I made a Death gif, a Title gif, then combined them using this method to make this:
I basically opened each gif, grouped their layers, pasted the 2 groups into a new canvas (using paste over layers), then played with the blending options on the top group until I liked the effect.

Red and Green: Utter Disbelief
Welp, at least the lighting director hit the nail on the head during this scene.
So here we go again with the red and green. Red and green is often used in film making to convey a sense of magical realism, that something that can’t be believed with the senses is going on. I’ve written about it before, specifically in regards to the scene below, where I suspected that it wasn’t Clarke but Josephine dancing in her studio:
In Bellamy and Clarke’s final exchange, they are both shaking their heads in utter disbelief. Clarke can’t believe Bellamy is going to endanger Madi yet again. Bellamy can’t believe Clarke is actually going to shoot him this time. Both can’t believe they’ve gotten themselves into this situation.
I’m going even further: Bob and Eliza can’t believe they’re in this situation. The cast, crew, and director can’t believe they’re filming this situation. The audience itself can’t believe the situation as it unfolds before their very eyes! What a shocking turn of events!!
Finally, *I* can’t believe that I’m back to writing metas a mere four days after swearing off them for this show.
