Rough map
Just a basic one with few details, because I needed to be sure where everyone was.
They are well spaced-apart, it's just hard to tell on a map (look at the canon maps, the old pine forest hardly even had any pine trees).
They're also by the rocky mountains, so they should be grey, but these were the only free mountains.

This is Emeraldstar, bloodthirsty and paranoid leader of Shineclan. He isn’t afraid to take care of problems himself and will punish you and your family if you cross his path. Every scar on him is from when he was challenged by someone in the clan, many were not fortunate enough to come away alive.

Hehe! Now it's m' turn!
Here's ol' Boneclaw! He's got a real stern temper compared t' his brother Deadeye, but that don't make the feller any less approachable compared t' his fellow cats. Boneclaw's got a record of keepin' his clanmates in line, but trust when I say he's got a soft spot for the younger kiddos!
You might not believe me, but he had a real love for adventurin' as a youngin' - but I betcha his tales ain't as excitin' as his brother's. Those two have a real inseparable bond, 'specially after, well, an incident in the family... But I'm gittin' off track.

Here she is! I‘d felt inspired to make one of these mock covers for Kowhaipaw and the gang ever since I’d seen @/planefood ‘s brilliant work seen here. The og Wayne McLoughlin covers still hold a very special place in my heart.
I don’t plan to make any writing’s for this theoretical warriors oc series, but the concept was really fun! Maybe I’ll do a super edition mockup featuring Doespring or Stoatbite sometime down the line.
Here’s the original sketch btw! I wish I’d kept more of the progress to show, but unfortunately I have a slightly chaotic proccess of deleting/merging/drawing over layers as I go and the earlier stages are buried now, rip.

do the cats in your AU have any sort of unique games? i remember in one of your posts about the Aftergathering you mentioned something along those lines called 'scratchstone,' are there any others?
They do! Making a big entry on games is on my very long todo list
So far:
SCRATCHSTONE: a grid-based strategy game, so named because in the past, it would be 'scratched' into the dirt and played with stones. Fernstripe is very good at this game.
Untitled Song Game: ShadowClan plays a round game very similar to the Mari Llwyd game, if you know about that. The idea is that you sing back and forth, making rhyming excuses, until one of you loses. It's like wit-based rock/paper/scissors, and used to decide minor disputes.
"I WAS GONNA EAT THAT FROG"
"It's MY frog, YOU eat log!" (A challenge)
"You are a hog and a slobbering dog"
Keep going until the other can't find a good retort, or breaks the rhyme.
Teeterstrike: Like pattycake, played by sitting on your haunches and rhythmically pressing paws to the other cat. If you're really good at this it starts to look like fighting. Secretly a game that parents, chaperones, and educators play with kittens to introduce them to "timed strikes" before they become apprentices and start real training.
This doesn't include the canon games like Preystone or that Tag-knockoff, I want to include those too lmao
