What would be everyone’s reaction when they found out how much of a menace Price was when he was younger?
Price playing instruments and singing surprisingly good just to ensure he was annoying the rest of his team? Would they believe that the same man that’s their Captain was such a troublemaker to his Captain?
I can imagine all the stories Nikolai and Laswell have of Price being chaotic in his youth, they’re such crazy stories that the team refuses to believe it until Price has to confirm they’re real.
The fact is, none of them would believe either Laswell or Nikolai. None of them could imagine or comprehend the thought of Price being a menace so they just chose to not believe anything Laswell or Nik said. They were obviously just trying to fuck with them.
But, then it happened. It wasn’t really a meeting, just Laswell and Price sitting around a large table with files everywhere, looking over all the intel they had that could be of use for an upcoming mission. They were barely talking, just murmuring as they moved files and reports into different piles, each showing the relevance they had with the mission.
Soap had walked in, holding a few more files for them to look over.
“Alejandro sent over some papers that might be useful.”
Now, Price was really out of it. He had been focusing on the papers so long now it had put him in some kind of trance. He heard Soap say ‘Alejandro’ and Price did what he thought was appropriate.
“Alejandro- Alejandro-“
It was so soft Soap thought he was hearing things. But no, he wasn’t. Price was softly singing under his breath, still focused on the files lying before him.
Soap stares because why was it in tune?
“Don’t bother me- Ah. Why are you still here?” Price snapped out of the trance, acting as if he was completely unaware of what he was just doing.
“You were-“
“Soap, I’m working. And I’m pretty damn sure you’re supposed to be helping Ghost.”
“But-“
“Piss off!”
Soap blinks, stunned. He starts to leave the room, staring at Price as the man turned back to the files, muttering under his breath. Soap makes eye contact with Laswell before he leaves the room. She was smirking, the loudest ‘I told you so’ he has heard/seen in a while.
Soap leaves the room, running back to Ghost’s office so he could tell him what he had just witnessed.
